Bienvenido a Bayou Heron, ubicado en Bayou Second con vistas desde su condominio. Este condominio cuenta con una cocina de tamaño completo, wifi gratis, televisores de pantalla plana en la sala de estar y en las dos habitaciones, ¡y mucho espacio para llevar a tu perro! ¡Con este condominio, también tendrá acceso a la piscina compartida de agua salada al aire libre, parrilla de gas y muelle!

Cuando no te estés refrescando en la piscina, toma una silla de playa y dirígete al acceso público a la playa, ¡a solo un corto paseo de distancia! También puede caminar hacia el sur y se encuentra a 400 pies de Waves DI, Islander e Island Rainbow. No se olvide de tomarse un día para explorar el Audubon Bird Sanctuary, un santuario de 164 acres con kilómetros de senderos para caminar a través de hermosos bosques, pantanos y playas del golfo.

What a perfect place. They have everything you need for a great vacation! Kayaks, beach chairs, dock… they have it all! Definitely would recommend this gem.

Great location and house!

This was the perfect location to walk to restaurants and the public beach! Great area to go on walks with your dog and beautiful views on the bayou. Everything was clean and very roomy!

Calm still waters with sweet bayside views

I have stayed in Dauphin Island many places in the last 10 years and especially like the calm views, easy access to the Gulf side, restaurants here. Price is right also.

Holiday Stay

The availability of this condo was a welcome. The price was as reasonable as a motel room with much more amenities. Highly recommend this rental.

Disappointing Last Day/Night

Bayou Heron had a deck collapse and we were forced to evacuate for our last night of stay and place at another property not at the caliber of Bayou Heron.

Beautiful view

The view was beautiful. Most everyone was very friendly. Everyone had dogs, which was great for me! If you dont like dogs, dont stay here. I was very disappointed with the unit not clean. Dust on all light fixtures, and baseboards, ect. Light bulbs blown in several fixtures. My family and I had a great time on the Island! It is located far enough away from the Rodeo that is a quiet and peaceful, most of the time! Cute area!

Great stay on Dauphin Island!

Our stay at the Blue Heron condo on the bay side of Dauphin Island was great. The property is centrally located within walking distance of several restaurants (The Carriage was fantastic with fresh non-fried options!), shops, and Central Beach. The property had great amenities like a pool, easy access to the bay, under building parking, and elevator, and more. The condo itself was spacious, clean, well-stocked, and up-to-date. We had several conversations with the locals that live in the building, enjoyed sitting on the large porch with views of the bay, and had plenty of space to relax. The couch, love seat, and big chair were comfy for lounging after a day in the sun. The WiFi was fast and the tv in the den (we don’t use the ones in the bedroom) was newer and had plenty of viewing options. And the air conditioning worked great! No complaints. Would book again for sure.

Enjoyed the property but the Dishwasher was broken

The view was amazing, the pools, the kitchen was fine EXCEPT the dishwasher was RUSTED out and would not properly work. The jacuzzi tub was nice, but on the last night could not get hot water. The locks on the sliding glass door did not work but the property manager sent someone out to fix them. We would rent this unit again pending the dishwasher!

Clean-Comfortable-Convenient

My priority in reading reviews is to initially find three things.# 1 Are the photos and description accurate. YES, at the time of my stay.# 2 Is it clean. YES, it is clean.# 3 Is the area safe. YES, every area I explored on the island.Afterwards I read what people share.The Condo is furnished. The balcony has a wonderful view, and I spent a great deal of time relaxing looking out there. The dock was a nice place to sit and look at Mobile Bay, the birds and other wildlife. It is a very short walk to the beach on the Gulf of Mexico.The outside of the building & hallways is well lit. Beyond the condo, the Island is DARK. Sitting or walking near the water, you will need bug spray. I would like to stay here again. I escaped Mid-West Winter. The Island is QUIET. No chain restaurants, hotels or amusement parks, not many people at all. It has an abundance of kind helpful people, & an infinite supply of natural beauty along the beaches. Dauphin Island is amazingly dog friendly for leashed well behaved dogs.I found 2 services that truly enhanced my time here. “Dauphin Island Hospitality” who delivered & put away my grocery order BEFORE I arrived. And what I believe to be the SHINING STAR of this Island “Dinner’s Ready” who sells prepared meals. They made some of the BEST Southern Cooking that I have ever had, second only to my mother’s.The written description pales by the reality of the place.I am looking forward to coming back to escape Mid-Western Winter.

A disappointing second visit

I love DI - the people, the ocean, and the many things to do. I stayed at this location 2 years ago and it was great. It has gone downhill tremendously. Given the wrong code and could not get into key box (did, thankfully get Jennifer to respond and she had the code), key never really worked right - lock definitely needs changing. Tub did not drain in small bath, and no hot H2O in small bathroom sink, bottom sheet in small bedroom and was in a ball under you during the night because it did not fit the bed. dirty utensils in kitchen upon arrival and frig had a reddish film on one shelf, no internet - jennifer again responded in a timely fashion but we opted to go somewhere else and pull our stuff down off the web. Jennifer suggested rebooting the modem box which i could not find. There also were no instructions on how to operate the TV and which of the 4 remotes to use. Very Dirty rugs. Light on porch by small bedroom was so bright that even with the curtains closed i could read a book - need blackout curtains. The location is great but would think twice about returning. Very sad as i know how this location once was. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful.

Last minute family getaway

We loved being on the bay and having a fishing dock. We also liked the new kayak launch nearby. We enjoyed a sunset boat cruise with one of the neighbors.

Peaceful and Serene

The location was excellent with many restaurants close by. The only thing I was disappointed with was the carpet (very stained) and no WiFi our entire visit. If these two things are rectified, I would have given 5 stars.

A very wonderful set of sun rise and sun sets on the gulf!

Our condo was very close to both shopping and dining. Our evening looking at the gulf were very quite and pleasant over a glass of wine. There is lots to see and do on Dauphin Island. You can drive to the main land which is a short drive to enjoy the local eateries . Captain Snapper’s and Islanders were just two of our favorite places to dine ! There are a number of others on the island.
