Situated in a resort in Carson Valley in the historic town of Genoa, surrounded by the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains and only 16 miles east of Lake Tahoe. Famous for its natural mineral hot springs, this historic resort overlooks conservation land with stunning mountain views. When you’re not lounging in the hot springs or swimming in the heated outdoor pool, enjoy a delectable meal in a lavish, rustic environment at the 1862 Restaurant and Saloon on the property. Dine indoors or out by the fire pit for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Your next outdoor adventure starts with a stay in our villa! Your suite includes:

• 1st Bedroom: 1 King bed
• 2nd Bedroom: 1 Queen bed
• Living Area: Sofa bed for additional guests. Cable TV and DVD player.
• Kitchen: Coffee machine, stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, cooking utensils, and dishes
• 2 Bathrooms: A hairdryer, towels, and complimentary toiletries are included. In-suite washer & dryer.

The check-in process was fantastic. We were allowed a n early check-in. Everyone we dealt with was gracious, kind and helpful. I got the impression that this is a great place to work and it was reflected by the staff.

Great location and close to everything!

We really enjoyed this location. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly! It was close to everything, and only 15-20 minutes from Lake Tahoe!

Trip to Tahoe

We found your place when searching for a place to stay in Tahoe. Your price was right for our budget and was a reasonable distance from Tahoe. We loved the low key feel of the property. The restaurant was great - wonderful service by Chris. The mineral pools were pleasant. We will come back.

A great get-away

It was a great spot to just hang out and relax. The room/space had everything needed to just be. The pandemic impacted access to hot springs (as expected) and we didn't use the pool - but going back once all of this clears out would be fun.

Beautiful location!

This was a wonderful place to stay. The woman helping me at the front desk were very friendly. Our room was spotless and actually nicer than the photos online. The only downside is that we kind of had a terrible experience at the restaurant and the management there was rude and horribly unorganized

Ladies annual golf outing from Sonora, CA

Five of our golfing group from Teleli Ladies 9 ers, Sonora, CA chose this property for our annual golf getaway. We found the property very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Besides the proximity to many golf courses we also had numerous choices for restaurant dining. Meaningless chatter and laughter were highlights of the trip. The availability to the hot springs was an added bonus. We would certainly choose this property again for our outing.

Bexware of mosquitos outside after the sunset

It was beautiful place to stay for vacation. There is a hot springs but we didnt think of there are lots of mosquitos' attack in the evening. So bad~~~~ other than that was very satisfies.

David Wally's under Holiday Inn

The property is a quiet place and that is why we prefer it to staying up at Tahoe. We have stayed here over 20 years. Since Holiday Inn take over and Covid it is disappointing that the spa is closed for massages and facials. Biggest disappointment is not having the small cafe for coffee and ice cream and sandwiches sitting on the porch after swimming!

Worst experience in my life

Woke up to water. They said it was because too many people were taking showers. The property smelled like sewage. Later with the water was turned back on after doing tooth maintenance, and my husband was in the shower, apparently it went out for the entire property. The property manager was on site to talk to you. They didn’t even sell water bottle there, the elevator was out and the floor Huge Ada violation. I asked for a discount they offered me to 39 feedback not go back here ever again a great way to spend my birthday weekend.

Wonderful Getaway

Perfect spot for visiting Lake Tahoe but a short moutain ride away from the business of the city. The check-in process was the only issue that we had since we were required to wait behind and couple that was being sold a timeshare. They tried to sell us this too and we refused since the check-in was already delayed by 15-20 min. Then we received a call the next day trying to sell us a timeshare. Didn't realize that was part of the process here. As far as the property goes it was very nice, clean and well maintained. We had issues with the A/C but was corrected immediately. All in all we enjoyed the property and Genoa city.
