This cabin is perfect for a quiet getaway with family or a small group. The property is secluded and private and the house is well kept and well stocked with kitchen supplies. I would definitely stay again!

This is the best off the grid getaway. If you live the forest and nature with a modern cabin, this is your place.
Beautiful property. Off the beaten path location. Beds were very comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub. Unable to connect to the internet but didn’t really miss it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot tub worked just fine. Out door shower was wonderful. The access to the river was adequate with our needs and fishing was fun, especially with the kayak. Would definitely stay again!!!

This was our 2nd time to stay in this cabin, we love it here. The cabin and property are so gorgeous and well appointed.
Only downside this time is the hot tub was on the fritz but everything else was 100% awesome. We will be going back again for a 3rd time soon.

The Cabin was so cozy and nice with large windows to enjoy watching nature. My family and I enjoyed spending quality time doing puzzles, games and outdoor activities. Our boys loved learning how to kayak there on their river. We would absolutely return!

Secluded cabin with absolutely no cell service was just what this is! Super cute cabin not too far outside of town but enough to feel away! Short 20 minutes into town, if needed. Local lake nearby. Would recommend for an adult getaway. Kayaking and fishing was a hit for the kids.

Really a great place. The pics are accurate. It’s easy to find even at 1am. You can hear the river from the patio. Hot tub works great. I’d definitely go back when I need to be away from cell reception for a bit

Glad you had great time, come back and see us in the summer!

This was the best cabin. So close to the water and the perfect space for friends to reconnect. There is NO cell service or Wi-Fi, and honestly, we loved having no access to the outside world. The appliances were easy to use and the house itself was clean and up to date. I FULLY recommend this cabin.

So glad you enjoyed our cabin and we love not having cell service!! We can't wait to go down July 4th weekend! Come back and see us again!

The property was inviting and accommodating. We had a wonderful time exploring the property and nearby locations. If I had anything negative to say it would be that the property needed curtains and we came in after an apparent wasp problem. There were dead wasps all throughout the cabin we had to sweep up when we arrived.
Overall it was what was expected and needed! We are no strangers to the bugs and nature in general so we enjoyed listening and watching.

My son and I were looking for a remote place to relax and get away from the busy normal pace of life. This was perfect! Very remote and quiet. You can see the river below and a short walk allowed us to just hang out on the banks for a couple hours and just enjoy nature. The only drawback was the complete lack of cell coverage or WiFi to update my wife that we had arrived safely. I got a finger wag once we had service again at the end of our trip. We loved it!

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was everything we hoped for. Middle of nowhere, trees for days, beautiful home, and it was just plain comfortable and homey. We've got t-mobile as out cell carrier and there was no service to speak of. It was absolutely amazing. Will definitely be booking again! Thank you for the best escape from reality I've had for YEARS!

Nice getaway /Nice Cabin. Greeted by too many flies.
Beautiful views surrounding the cabin. Loved how secluded it was, gave us an opportunity to really unwind from our busy schedules and just enjoy the outdoors. The only thing that was annoying were the number of flies that were flying around inside the cabin. We made sure to keep the doors closed to help with them from coming in, the weather was nice and cool, so I was surprised to see that many flies in the cabin. The cabin did have fly swappers, I felt that I spent most of the time trying to kill them when it came around to preparing my meals. I would suggest maybe getting a bug zapper to help with this issue.

Very sorry about the flys. I was 10 miles up river kayaking on Friday and on Saturday and the flys were crazy in this location also 100s. My best friend has a cabin 5 miles away and we had the convo Saturday about the flys. It is the mountains, you get what they give you. Trees Blooming, Heat, Rain, Flowers, Fall Colors, Bears, Wild Hogs, Sunshine, Snow, Beetles, Wasp, Snakes - You probably saw the river go from 16 feet back down to 6 from the rain (Why I was kayaking!) I am staying this weekend for my birthday and chances are the flys will be gone. That is what the mountains give you we shouldn't get a 3 star because of the mountains... But you can rate it how you would like I can't wait for this weekend! Kids will be swimming, boating, dirt bikes, mountain bikes and even popping some flys! Josh - owner
I read some of the reviews before booking, so I want to make sure mine is detailed because this place was perfect! It was just big enough for myself, my husband, and our 3 boys. There is the other cabin but even though you can see it through the trees it’s a good ways away. We had plenty of privacy and more than enough room for our wild boys to run without bothering neighbors. The river was gorgeous and we even hiked to see other parts and there’s one area close by with TONS of beautiful huge butterflies! This was the perfect get away for those like us trying to get off electronics and just play, get dirty, and reconnect. It was the perfect stay! Yes there are flies and bugs, but it never felt overwhelming or anything. Overall it’s very clean and we had the best time!! The owner is super available which made it easy to text if we did have questions or needed anything.

3 boys!! Sounds like our crew until the neighbors moved in with 4 girls, and our boys are getting old! But they all love it and the girls love the river and my daughter picked that for this week for her and her girl friends for her 11th birthday, FLOAT SWIM and CAMP at the cabin!
I hope you guys come back soon and get to enjoy a little warmer water! Sounds like you guys love the outdoors and adventure!

Our stay at this rental property presented both advantages and challenges. Initially, locating the property took a bit longer than anticipated; however, we were grateful for the detailed directions provided by the owners, which were crucial as the GPS led us to a location significantly distant from the specified gate. The VRBO listing boasted stunning views and was conveniently situated near a grocery store and Runestone Park. The kitchen was adequately equipped, allowing us to prepare most of our meals comfortably.
Upon arrival, the gate was open and we immediately lost access to both Wi-Fi and cellular service. To use our phones, it was necessary to drive some distance down the mountain. This inconvenience could have been mitigated if a printed list of instructions had been available in the cabin. At one point, we faced an issue where the gate to the dirt road leading to the cabin was locked (I didn't think about making sure we had the gate code due to the gate being open). Without phone access, we were unable to retrieve the gate code. Consequently, we were essentially trapped until one of us walked far enough down the road to regain cell service.
The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the hot tub and outdoor shower. The hot tub was pleasantly relaxing and warm, while the outdoor shower offered excellent water pressure, particularly in contrast to the shower inside the cabin.
We would choose to stay here again, but we will most certainly come more prepared!

That is some bad timing! My wife sends out the welcome email and it has the info on the gate and the code to the house... Weird how you guys got the code to the house but didn't see the code to the gate? But very clear on the directions and codes that you will not have service when you drop down the hill! But so glad you enjoyed the cabin and enjoyed the outdoor shower, we love that place and we also stayed at the cabins over this July 4th weekend and we swam in the river and hit the outdoor shower! Come back anytime and be sure and check the email as the codes will have changed by that point

Not terrible but not exactly what we wanted
We had a great time spending time together for our Anniversary however there were some major downsides to our stay. We wanted peace and quiet t to ourselves with NO kids.. yes the rental in the details say they have another cabin near by but I reached out to the owner to find out how secluded it was and was assured u could use the outdoor shower no problem so secluded enough. Not accurate statement if u don't want to be arrested because kids are around and played right in front of our cabin. The cabin is a little ways away but we could see it plan as day from our door step. The water front access was occupied by kids playing in their kayaks the either time. Yelling and playing as to be expected by kids but this was a romantic quiet get away we desperately needed. The sights around were great, the cabin lacked some essentials that were needed and the couch was nasty with stains so we didn't sit on it. We ended up finding a great local fishing spot away from it all and enjoyed quiet time but that's not what we were looking for nor lead to believe what we were renting. Any other time complaining wouldn't be necessary except maybe clean or replace that couch and add some essentials that are needed... new sponge paper towels and wash towels to where they don't smell horrible like they sat in a washer for a day to mold then dried. It's a cabin and it's not secluded at all keep in mind there are 3 RV hook up literally next to this cabin so shower outside is impossible. It has great potential to being a good family get together spot.

I am glad you did find things you like about our cabin. The two cabins you cannot see from each other. I am sorry you did not feel comfortable with the kids in the river from the other cabin. We love for families to enjoy our cabins and also couples like yourself. The RV spots do not have any RV's at them. We do not rent these spots out to public people and you also have a large tree line between the cabin and these 3 RV spots that do not have any RV's. I have also bought some new towels for the cabin!
