We are nine 70 year old high school friends from Cincinnati, Ohio and are time in Coeur D’Alene was perfect! Accommodations, location, views of the lake, walkability couldn’t have been better!Thank you’
This is an amazing place to gather and the perfect hub for exploring Coeur d’Alene, Spokane, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana. Thanks for the opportunity to enjoy this historic home with three generations of visiting family!
We had a lovely stay! Check-in was fantastic, and the host was extremely accommodating. The lakefront location is absolutely beautiful and perfect for families. We spent most of our time relaxing on the front lawn and enjoying the incredible lake view. The home is a bit dated but comfortable, and we were able to make the bathroom arrangement work well for our group. For planning purposes, three upstairs bedrooms share one full bathroom, there is a half bath on the main floor, and another full bathroom is located on the basement level near the game room. The primary bedroom also has a full bathroom, which we shared with our family as needed.Overall, it was a wonderful family getaway, and the beautiful lakefront setting truly made our stay special.

A 1907 house is dated by definition, I guess. And, full disclosure, the second floor full bathroom serves 4 bedrooms, not 3. Some years ago we upgraded to an 80 gallon hot water heater in response to feed back. The water pressure is quite good even with the third floor shower, so the three showers and one tub manage fairly well, further feedback has indicated. But, admittedly, the house is not like a hotel with a shower for every room. I am glad you experienced an enjoyable stay—made possible by my conscientious crew. DrG
Great place and perfect for hosting extended family. The only thing we didn’t like is the oven does not work well and takes twice as long to cook than expected.

I am glad your family get together went well since families are (to use sales jargon) our target demographic. Regarding the built- in oven , it admittedly is fairly old and I have thought myself that it is a tad small. But I have not previously received any complaints despite 18 years of customer Thanksgivings and Christmases. Nonetheless, I will definitely look into whether we should update and what updates are possible (given the limitations imposed by the cabinetry). I much appreciate constructive observations by guests as my best guide for improvement. Thanks! Dr G
Location, location, location! We could not have had a more perfect property. Lake access across a non busy, one way road, to a grassy area was perfect for swimming at any time. Also, the enclosed sitting rooms allowed us to sit and enjoy the lake view even if the weather was keeping us inside. It is a short to the resort, downtown to shops and eateries, and to Tubbs hill. A park was just 2 houses down where the kids played pickleball, had fun at the kids play area, and we all enjoyed the outdoor jazz/ R&B live concert at the band shell.Aside from that, the house was very clean, had all the cooking utensils, cook wear, and spices you need. The middle floor was perfect for our 2 daughters and their families. We loved the privacy of the 3rd floor suite. The property manager was there when needed, and check in and out was very easy.If anything could have been better, The oven is small, although there are 2 of them, which was helpful. However, do not plan to used a 10 x 13 cookie sheet, it will not fit. Also, the carpet on the stairs and 2nd floor is due for a change.I would certainly rebook this property next time I am in Coeur d Alene.

Thank you very much for the detailed and constructive review. I am indebted to my friendly and very conscientious team. Interestingly, the deficiencies you flagged are the very ones I myself have noted. I agree that the built-in double oven is somewhat small. I would replace it in a minute but for the major remodel that would be required. I also agree that the stairwell and second floor carpet, although cleaned regularly, is showing its age and will need to be replaced before too long. In the meantime I will take heart that we have kept up this beautiful old house pretty well if there are no other notable deficiencies. One of the reasons for that, of course, is that my team and I pay very close attention to constructive criticism from sharp-eyed clients. I hope to see you back again soon.
All went well and we enjoyed the location. The home was comfortable and functional. Might want to check listing for number of bathrooms for accurate accounting. Our family made some fantastic memories during our stay. Many thanks!

I am glad you enjoyed the house. Regarding bathrooms, I’m not quite sure where there could be confusion. The master ad in VRBO (which is the only one I can influence) clearly indicates using symbols that there are 4 toilets (one on each floor), 3 showers with one being a shower/tub combination. There may be subsidiary ads associated with VRBO (e.g. Expedia, et al) that are less clear, but I have no means of correcting those. Hopefully my reply here will help other travelers avoid confusion. Thanks! Dr G
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this lakehouse in Coeur d’Alene. The location couldn’t have been better—close to everything, incredibly convenient, yet still peaceful and relaxing. Great for all ages. The home was spotless and beautifully designed. The layout was ideal, with all main bedrooms on the second floor and a private primary suite on the third floor showcasing breathtaking lake views. The basement game room was a great feature—set apart so noise didn’t carry into the sleeping areas—while the lower levels offered plenty of space to spread out and entertain. The views truly set this property apart. Waking up to the lake each morning was unforgettable and made the entire stay feel special. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-located, and relaxing getaway.

Thank you very much for the very kind words. Your thoughtful and thorough review is much appreciated. Of course my conscientious, hardworking, experienced, and friendly team do all the hard work and have their heart in it every day. I have had a most fortunate relationship with their extended family for many years such that my renters do not have to deal with an impersonal service company. I am very glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again. DrG
This was an amazing house and fit my Birthday holiday plans for my family and Grandkids! Also very close to the Santa cruise for the little kids too! Loved coming here and will come back for sure.

Thank you very much. I am always happy to hear praise for my cleaning and maintenance team and to hear clients enjoyed themselves!
The host prioritizes a family friendly experience! The property manager, Roni, is wonderful, extrememly attentive and accessible and does everything to make our stay top notch! This is our 7th year of thoroughly enjoying this property. A resounding 5 Star experience!!
Our family had a wonderful stay in this beautiful lake front home! It was comfortable and roomy enough for all 11 of us to enjoy family meals, games, and a relaxing time together. We loved the quiet mornings with knitting and coffee watching the lake activity from the sunrooms, went for afternoon walks along the beach, strolled to an amazing park with our grandchildren just down the street, went geocaching just a few blocks away, and enjoyed Gooey sundaes at the resort just a 10 minute walk away. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with all the pans, dinnerware, and utensils we needed, the bedrooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated, there were shelves of toys, books, games, and puzzles. Extras like umbrellas, beach chairs, and window seat cushions were thoughtfully available. All in all a beautiful stay for our family gathering.

Thank you for your detailed and positive review. As you noted, my conscientious team and I aim to please a full range of ages, including infants and toddlers. This year we switched out the thermostats for ones that are simpler to operate, so I am particularly happy to hear you were warm. Thanks again. Hopefully we will see you again next year. DrG
Our stay in July was wonderful. Easy check-in and communication. The house was plenty big to accommodate our group with space to spare. The access to the lake right in front of the house was a huge plus! Would stay again!
