Sleeps 6 comfortably with a king in the master, a king in the 2nd BR and a queen sleeper in the living area.

The Space:
Enjoy a wonderful getaway at this beachfront, beautifully decorated 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium located at 7000 Seawall, in the Dawn Condos. Great amenities at an affordable rate! Facilities include 2 pools, hot tub, BBQ areas, gated parking and fitness center. This 2nd floor unit offers a private balcony, living area with beach views, full kitchen, washer and dryer in unit, master bedroom with private bathroom. Sleeps 6 comfortably with a king in the master, a king in the 2nd bedroom and a queen sleeper in the living area. Conveniently located across from the beach and Wal-mart, easy access to Moody Gardens, Galveston Convention Center, Schlitterbahn and all of Galveston's festivities. Gated parking on premises, $30 paid directly to condos upon check-in.

Guest Access:
As a guest at Island Dream @ Dawn Condos guests have access to the gated parking lot with unassigned parking spaces, a private entrance to unit 1025 leading to the living, dining, kitchen areas, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a private balcony. Condo amenities include a 2 pools- 1 heated, fitness room and BBQ areas.

The Neighborhood:
Dawn Condos are located on Seawall Blvd, across from the beach and short walk to stores and restaurants.

Getting Around:
This location is close to restaurants, shopping, just a mile to Schlitterbahn and Moody Gardens, not to mention, directly across the street from the sand and beach! Trolley stop is located on seawall, in front of complex.

Other Things to Note:
Rentals include furnishings, linens, kitchen equipment, appliances, heating and air conditioning.
What to bring: A. We do not furnish foods of any kind such as seasonings, condiments, etc., grilling supplies such as fluid, charcoal, personal soaps such as shampoo body wash, etc. or cleaning supplies such as dish soap, laundry soap, etc. B. A "starter" supply of paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. are in each unit, the renter is responsible for additional products during their stay. C. Beach and Pool items: towels, chairs, umbrellas, sun block, repellents and toys!

The condo itself was nice and very spacious. Loved the location. The only think I was very unhappy about is the uncleanliness of the place. The second bedroom had a not so pleasant smell.. the pillows did not smell good. I had to throw one off the bed and later realized it had a big stain on it. The bathroom rugs were dirty as well. The headboard in the master bedroom was very dusty. The place could use a good deep cleaning and would be PERFECT!

Great Complex - Condo was okay

The condo is well located in a great complex. The pool was fantastic and the grounds well maintained. The condo itself was okay, not great, but okay. It was mostly clean and the kitchen was mostly well stocked (they warn you they don't provide anything). There were some condition issues. The hall bathroom shower is in need of attention - a very dirty (mold, mildew, etc) shower curtain liner, cracking grout that may have been moldy, and a PVC pipe that was sticking out of the ceiling and looked to be surrounded by mold, There were also not enough towels and no hand towels for the guest bath. It was only two of us, so we were okay, but if it had been more we would not have had enough. The towels that were there were pretty threadbare, as were the sheets. There were also no beach towels provided and that was not stated in the information anywhere (that we saw) so we had to buy some. None of these things are a huge deal, but they added up. In all, we'd stay at the complex again but might choose a different unit.

Lovely escape overlooking the gulf

We've never taken a family vacation to the beach before so this was new for us. Staying in this condo made it perfect. It's right across Seawall Blvd. from the beach with dozens of restaurants and shops in both directions. The condo is comfortable and spacious and the balcony is the perfect place for morning coffee or just watching the moonlight reflect off the water late at night. It has everything you need and everything actually works! Don't hesitate to rent here to enjoy Galveston Island!

Musty Smell

I chose this place due to the great reviews so I’m going to be honest and say it did not live up to what I expected for the price. There is an AWFUL musty/moldy smell that hits you every time you open the door. We sort of eventually got used to it, but it was so bad that I couldn’t sleep the first night. The rug in the living room was dirty, and although we didn’t need to use the high chair that was stored in the master closet, it was yuck. There was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that was provided in a pump in the shower but it wasn’t attached very well and fell off when we tried to use it. The pools were great and the pictures of the property are accurate. The location was also nice as we were able to walk across the street to the beach. Overall, we had a great vacation in Galveston, but this place is just OK-mostly because of the smell.

Great property!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The morning sunrises we saw from the balcony were beautiful. We’ve stayed at the Dawn before so we knew we wanted to stay here again. It’s a very well maintained, clean property. The condo itself was clean and nice. We would absolutely rent this unit again. It’s in a great location, right across the street from the beach and close to stores and restaurants.

Excellent place for family getaway

The beds are comfortable, the view is amazing. We enjoyed our coffee on the patio with an awesome waterfront view. You can expect more street noise here due to being on the main road, especially if the bike rally is going on. Overall, a great stay.

Much Needed fun and relaxation

The property is bigger then what it appears, check-in process was PAINLESS. Beautiful unobstructed view to the beach with easy access. Centrally located to a variety of restaurants, convenience store right next to the property and Walmart directly across the street. Although it started to rain the kids enjoyed the pool after a day at the beach and mommy enjoyed the hot tub (yes in the rain💙). Owner was very responsive to msgs 👏We enjoyed this unit and the view so much we decided to stay and rent another night of course with the owners approval and with no problems whatsoever, our Lil getaway was extended. We will most DEFINITELY be back to Galveston and without hesitation we would definitely re-rent this lil piece of heaven.

Great condo located right on the Seawall

We had a great stay at this condo in the Dawn. It’s located right on the seawall so you have a full view of the gulf. The living area and bedrooms are very comfortable, and the kitchen is well-stocked with plenty of seating. Fast internet, the a/c works really well, and very convenient to have the washer and dryer in the unit. Great stay and we’ll return!

Galveston Condo Beach Stay

Overall this was a good property location. The bed in the guest bedroom was not great and was encased in a plastic bag making sleeping hot and noisy. My biggest complaint would be the nickel and dime stuff you expect to have available at a property for this price. Only enough toilet paper until you rush out the next day to purchase your own. 4 rolls of 2 ply were $3.49 and paper towels $1.29. An extra $5.00 from the management would have made this a higher rating. Also the air conditioning was restricted to no lower than 75 degrees in summer and 65 degrees in winter. None of this is disclosed until the day before you arrive. Seriously annoying to have to start a vacation at the local Walmart for toilet paper because there wasn’t enough on the rolls for 4 people arriving late at night and toileting first thing next morning. All that was there was what the prior guest left behind. Also, all cleaning supplies were on us! No dish liquid and sponge available was dirty & smelly. Probably why some dishes were not very clean as everything is to be washed by guest and put away upon leaving. The condo needs a good airing out as it smelled very musty from the moisture.

First VRBO Experience

We were impressed with communication with property manager prior to check in. The condo was exactly as expected, and we were happily surprised there was a keurig machine to make morning coffee and sunrises easier to enjoy! For our very first VRBO stay, we were very impressed and happy we went with this instead of traditional hotel stay.

Excellent property- beach and pools- kid friendly

We ended up staying an extra day. The condo is secure by car and walking. The beach is across the street and there are two pools on the property. The condo was clean and had all amenities needed. We were also able to have groceries delivered. I received an immediate response from the prop owner when I sent them a message.
