This comfortable villa is set in a quiet urbanisation on a mountaintop overlooking the Mediterranean. The 180 degree views from the front of the villa are quite stunning - all the rooms benefit from this. To the rear is an enclosed totally private 9x5m swimming pool where one can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. All rooms have hot/cold air conditioning making the property suitable for year round rental. The villa layout ideally suits two couples rather than children. One bedroom is located down three steps from the lounge, the other is accessed from an external staircase. Quirky but interesting. The lounge, diner and kitchen are open plan. The villa has been refitted with quality furnishings and is fully equipped to make your stay a real pleasure in an unusual and relaxing environment.

Please note: due to the quiet location, external staircase to the double bed bedroom and unfenced pool area this is not suitable for young children.

Fantastic villa - highly recommend

Michael made the stay fantastic from start to finish. From booking to our arrival and our departure. Nothing was too much trouble. The villa has everything you need and more. The pool was lovely and refreshing after a day in the sun. Would recommend to anyone. We hope to book again for next year.

A Slice of Paradise

It would be hard for this review not to descend into a litany of superlatives. The house was amazing. Scrupulously clean, fantastically equipped and Michael as a host was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The peace and tranquillity was truly unforgettable. We will definitely try to return in the future.

Fantastic getaway, v quiet location, everything you would possibly need was provided. Lovely pool, great for a peaceful relaxation. Ideal for two couples but probably not suitable for a family, but this is stated in the description. Michael v. friendly host who kept his distance after initial intro. Only suggestion would be a one-way see-thru screen in the downstairs bedroom when you open the curtains - nearly got caught out dressing/changing when Michael walked past a couple of times, and we didn't want to have to keep the curtains closed.

Brilliant villa in a wonderful location with beautiful views. Amazing secluded garden and pool area which lends itself to a relaxing holiday whilst forgetting the world outside. Wouldn’t be right to not mention Michael whose friendly welcome started us off well and who was on hand if required but totally left us to enjoy our time there.

Perfect house

We had a very nice week at this place. The house was exceptionally clean and organised. You can find everything you need. The pool area is totally private and away from other eyes. The owner was very friendly. And the view was amazing.

Baeutiful, tranquil location

Beautiful, tranquil location high in the mountains. The villa was lovely and we felt very at home. We were lucky and enjoyed a few good days even in Feb so were able to use the outside area and pool. I would love to go back in summer to fully take advantage of the facilities. The villa is well stocked and owner is nearby if you need anything.

This villa is beautiful, the pool is fantastic and the views from all rooms are stunning. The villa has everything you could wish for. We had a fabulous few days here - it’s so tranquil and private. Thank you Michael for making our stay perfect ... I can’t recommend this villa highly enough.

Lovely villa with lovely views, very clean and very well equipped.

Lovely property, stunning views, car needed as a little off the beaten track, but overall 5 stars. The area is lovely, just be aware though late September quite a few of the local restaurants close early or the close compleaty.

Superb property

The property was clinically clean which impressed us! It was exactly as described with panoramic views over and across the valley right down to the sea. It was an idllyic villa for a tranquil, relaxing holiday. Michael, the owner, was incredibly helpful before we arrived and during our stay. As our flights were ridiculous times he was flexible and acccmodating. We couldn't rate this villa and Michael highly enough.

Incredible views all the way down to the coast from this comfortable apartment

We booked this apartment after reading the previous reviews and were not disappointed. The views are amazing, very peaceful location (make sure you have a car with some reasonable power to get up the mountain and the steep drive!) and clean/comfortable apartment. Fantastic pool area.

excellent villa, in beautiful surroundings

we have stayed at Michaels casita, quite a few times now , and an excellent standard has always been maintained,the villa is always immaculate, with very comfortable beds and everything you need, it is very peaceful, and has great views, Michael lives next door and is on hand if you need anything, you will need a car,saying that you are very excessable to Benidoleig, Orba and many more villages and towns, most with very good restaurants and bars , which Michael will be happy to recommend. The beach at Denia is about 15mins away,there is certainly plenty of places to visit,or you can just relax around the pool, I would not hesitate to recommend this villa, and if you do stay here, you will have a wonderful time

Fantastic villa - an escape from the real world!

We had a wonderful stay at Michael's Casita which enabled us to relax and recharge. It is located in a wonderful setting in a mountain urbanization with the most amazing views that you can sit and just look at for ages. The inside of the villa is very modern and comfortable with everything you need to be self catering and lovely rain showers in the bathrooms. For shopping, there is a Carrefour at Ondara which is only a 10 minute drive where there is also a nice indoor shopping complex. Aldi is also there and Lidl is about a 20 minute drive. The most surreal but enjoyable thing for us was the silence which was so welcoming and relaxing making you feel totally removed from the world. The back of the villa is a sun trap and there is a lovely patio area with a large pool (we couldn't use it as it was too cold but in the summer it would be fabulous). The owner Michael lives next door and very friendly and welcoming. He is on hand should you need anything and he can give you recommendations for restaurants and days out. We spent our days relaxing and touring the wonderful scenic mountains in a Fiat 500 which just about made it up the steep roads (you might want to consider something more powerful). The area was littered with wonderful orange trees and it was only a 15 minute drive to the coast. We would highly recommend this villa to those who want to get away from it all and experience a slice of real spanish life in beautiful setting.

Beautiful Villa in a tranquil area

We had a lovely week in Benidoleig - the Villa is lovely on the inside as well as the outside and the setting is fabulous and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting outside in the mornings and evenings and spending time by the pool in between - the inside of the property is spacious and comfortable too. Michael is very friendly and welcoming (as are his dogs) and really helpful - the Villa is kept to a very high standard and we very much hope to return

Hello, my name is Michael and I am the proud owner of the casita that you have just looked at. I also live next door. I moved to Spain 12 years ago initially on a 'try it and see' basis. My plans changed and instead of moving to Javea I was offered a property inland. My initial disappointment changed the moment I arrived. The countryside and the people are fantastic. Here I can live in the real Spain without all the tourists! If I want that, a quick drive takes me to the bustle of the coastal towns. So my move to this property was based on the pleasure of living in the peace and quiet, but all the other options available to me within a few minutes drive.

So whilst I am here to welcome you , I am on hand for any help or information you may need (while being aware of your need for privacy).

Why they chose this property

The North Costa Blanca (Marina Alta) provides the very best environment for healthy living and natural beauty. The joy of seeing the stars at night as there is no air pollution to hide them! The mountainous landscape with rich green valleys. The heady scent of orange blossom. The Med and its sandy beaches. The quaint little Spanish villages. The food, the wine and the people................. OK I could go on, but this really is one of the most beautiful parts of the world and my decision to move here was very easy. Living on top of a mountain enables one to enjoy the breathtaking vista of the sea, mountains, valley, orange groves and the little villages clinging to the foothills. With the changing light the view never ceases to change. It provides a real 'get away from it all' feel.

What makes this property unique

It's an interesting mix of peace and quiet, but without being isolated. Take in the views and decide which part of this beautiful area to go and see more of. This villa feels different from many others because it's the right size for a holiday home - space and comforts, but no unnecessary wasted space. The private enclosed 9x5m pool is, of course, a real pleasure. But should you feel the need for a bigger pool the Pool Bar just down the road is freely available, or it's just a 15 minute drive to the sea. The Pool Bar also provides snacks and evening meals as well as a tennis court!

With the unspoiled countryside and mountain ranges this part of the world is perfect for walkers or cyclists. There are organised trips available or one can make own arrangements.
