Best apartment ever

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The host gave us a superb and very warm welcome, making us feel right at home from the start. The apartment is in a fantastic location—it was so easy to get around with public transit right nearby, and we could walk to all the great local attractions. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Great location

We had a wonderful stay in this one bedroom condo. It's within walking distance of the train station, world class art museums, a fantastic park, and lots of wonderful restaurants. We always felt safe walking the neighborhood and surrounding area - even late at night. Special thanks to the owner for assisting us with a taxi reservation on the day of our departure!

4 days in Madrid

Spent 4 days at Cesar’s apartment and found it to be the perfect base to explore Madrid. It was spotlessly clean, had every convenience we could require and was centrally located to walk to all the main areas of Madrid. Cesar and his son were welcoming and very helpful. Highly recommended.

Great location

Good apartment for a couple. Good feeling of space, light and airy. Has everything you need apart from an oven (there is a microwave with grill). Cesar is very helpful and there is loads of information in the apartment. The area is great with loads of restaurants on your doorstep and the walk to the centre is only 25 minutes. I would go again.

Wonderful Location and Quiet Property

Cesar’s apartment was great for our 5 days in Madrid. The proximity to Atocha Station, the Metro and other key sites made it easy to go out and about, come back and rest and then back out for a Madrid evening. Even though you’re in the middle of it all, inside and out, this was one of the most quiet places we’ve stayed. Cesar was very gracious to allow us to drop off our bags prior to check in and assure we had all we needed for a great stay. No reservations in recommending this property to other couples.

Nice apartment with parking underneath

Clean, comfortable apartment with all amenities included. Neighbourhood is handy to Prado Museum and the royal gardens. A small supermarket is next door. Shopping in Sol area is a 13 minute level walk. A/C and Netfix were good to have when relaxing in the evenings. Host was kind and spoke good English. We really liked this place

Extremely Clean and Well Managed Property

The property is located about 1.2km from the Madrid Atocha train station. It’s an easy walk. The flat is also a very close walk to the Anton Marín Metro Station. There are also a number of bus lines nearby. The property is one of the best maintained rentals I have ever stayed at. The owner lives in the same building and genuinely cares about the property. The building is located in a very popular area. At night there are many bars and restaurants nearby. If you are out on the street walking around on a Friday night is is busy and a bit crowded. The great part about the flat is when the windows are closed your hear it. Due to the location of the bedroom, you don’t hear anything other than an occasional person in the hallway of the flat. The Internet connectivity was provided by Telefonica/Movistar. The connection tested with higher upload speeds to the download speeds at 50Mbps/100Mbps. It would be more than enough for any type of remote work or video conferencing.

Superbe appartement près des musées

L'appartement de César est très calme (chambre sur cour), climatisée, avec un garage dans l'immeuble. Il est confortable, avec une vraie cuisine et très bien située ( à 2 pas du triangle d'or d'or des musées Thyssen - Prado - Sofía), du parc el Retiro et de la gare Atocha

Excellente location

Cet appartement est extrêmement bien situé, il est à 5 mn de marche des musée du Prado, de la reine Sophia et Tyssen. IL aussi très proche de la plaza Mayor, du parc Reteiro, de la place Cibéle, de la porte d'Alcala, et des grandes avenues, le palais royal est un peu plus loin mais on peut y aller à pied en 20 minutes. L'appartement est bien agencé, clair et spacieux pour 2 personnes. Il est très propre et rien ne manque, ni dans la cuisine ni dans la salle de bains. Par ailleurs il est possible de garer son véhicule dans le garage en sous-sol qui est très facile d'accès. Il dispose en plus d'un ascenseur. Deux restaurants sont sur une petite place toute proche et une supérette est également proche en bas de l'immeuble. En résumé une location que je recommande fortement, d'ailleurs avec ma femme nous envisageons d'y retourner l'été 2017.

Well located apartment

The owners made checking in and out easy. They were kind enough to store luggage until our train departure. We appreciated that the apartment was quiet even though it was centrally located. We enjoyed having breakfast there in the mornings and found the kitchen equipped for cooking. The bed and pillows were comfortable too A quick walk to the Prado and Thyssen as well as the Sophia, if you’re into museums. I recommend a stay - we enjoyed our five nights there .

Perfection!

We had such a wonderful time staying in this very comfortable and modern apartment. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful (thank you for being so sweet to us). The neighbourhood is fantastic -- so many cafes and restaurants right downstairs, and a grocery store just around the corner. All the museums are within close walking distance. You will be truly in the middle of everything, yet the apartment is quiet and peaceful. And the neighbourhood also has so many bookstores and bakeries -- couldn't be better. I recommend Cervantes restaurant especially for very tasty lunch in a characterful setting.

Excellent Response to Difficut Circumstances

Our apartment could not be located better. There are appealing looking tapas bars and restaurants all around it and a small, well stocked grocery within a hundred yards. The interior was clean, modern and quiet. The kitchen was well outfitted and was even stocked with treats to get us started. The day after we arrived everything began to close. First the museums, then all the restaurants, bars and tapas cafes due to the corona virus. Cesar met with us and explained what was happening. We decided to remain in the apartment since we had booked it for 3 weeks. The apartment has 200 channel cable and books in English. We stayed in, as did all of Spain, except for grocery trips and going to the pharmacy to buy a thermometer at Cesar’s suggestion. Ultimately we left when our Embassy alerted our travel agent that flights out of Spain would end very soon. We left reluctantly with nothing but respect and appreciation for our host Cesar. We could not have asked for a more caring and attentive response from him. Obviously we recommend this accommodation as highly as possible.

Perfect place to stay in Madrid

Cesar could not have been more helpful. Quick to respond to any questions. His apartment is clean, quiet, and in the best location. Walk to everywhere. I would recommend this place highly. There is an elevators so don’t worry about the 4 th floor. Wonderful Tapas everywhere and a short walk to all the major museums . Great stay, Gracias, Cesar

Make sure the full property address is on the info sheets. We arrived with the name of the building and our cabbie had a hard time finding the place. We eventually called Cesar and he came on got us. The place was real nice. Thanks for everything Cesar!

Wow....What a Find

If we could score higher we would. Cesar’s apartment had everything you could possibly need. The location was excellent just a block from the Prado and we walked everywhere. To plaza Sol, plaza Mayer, The Royal Palace. There were lots of bars and restaurants in the street and our favourite bakery across the road, yet it was so quiet in the apartment. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean, the linens on the bed luxurious, the shower was wonderful and never ran out of hot water. Shower wash and shampoo were provided, along with fluffy towels. We used the washing machine and pegs were supplied. Iron and ironing board. We used the TV and even was able to watch our shows in English. Ceasar left a welcome package of milk, orange juice, butter, jams bottled water and cakes and things. The kitchen was equiped with everything you would need if you like to cook. Check in was a breeze. Ceasar lives in the building so was there to meet us and explain how everything works and where everything is and how to get there. He gave us lots of maps and books and told us about a Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition which we otherwise would have missed. Having a car space undercover in the same building was definitely a plus for us as well. The photos don’t do this apartment justice. It is so roomy and modern. We would definitely recommend it to our friends. Thank you for everything Cesar.

Clean, neat. Small, good for 2-3 people. Sofa converts to double bed. Has all conveniences. On pedestrian street with tapas bars and restaurants. Could be noisy in summer. Cesar, the owner was a wonderful host. Goes out of his way to help. Got us our taxi pickup at 4:30am. Close to many sites. 5 min to Prado, hop on hop off bus. 1 min to grocery store. 10 min to Plaza Mayor. Would stay again.

Spotless, comfy apartment in ideal location

We thought this place was perfect. Our host Cesar was gracious and more than accommodating. He stocked the place with milk, juice, breads, tea & coffee, plus maps and tour books for Madrid. The layout was super, with big windows overlooking a plaza but the bedroom in the (quieter) back. The neighborhood was charming, just blocks from the Prado and Parque de Retiro on one side, and an easy walk to Plaza Major on the other. FABULOUS restaurants — Calle de Jesus is named by Rick Steves as having the best tapa joints in town. The kitchen is minimal but perfectly functional — but we never cooked more than breakfast anyway. Highly recommended.

Excellent flat in Madrid’s centre.

Very central in old Madrid, with a good range of independent shops, bars and restaurants. Very welcoming and helpful bilingual host. He left some basics in the fridge on arrival. Very secure with concierge. A family block of flats that was very quiet within and outside. The three main galleries are walking distance. Would stay here again and thoroughly recommended for a couple who wish to self-cater and/or eat out.
