Thank you for staying at our new home, which was renovated in 2020. You were our very first guest at CPDS Villa 2 (although we have owned and rented other Langosta homes since 2013). We are happy that you found it gorgeous, but surprised your visit was not better. As you mention, sand and dust is common in the high season and can blow in quickly, if doors and windows are left open. Our housekeeping performs a full cleaning and inspection, prior to each guest check-in, including all counters, bathrooms, and bedding. We re-confirmed this was done for your stay. Also, the internet was upgraded just prior to your arrival with new routers and modems installed. These were safely placed next to the locked hot water closet, and now permanently attached to the wall. Our guest experience is very important to us, as noted with our COVID testing assistance, and these issues would have been easy to address and resolve, if we only knew about them. In fact, we reach out to each guest upon check-in, but didn’t receive any feedback. However, Mikel exchanged several messages with you, where you described your stay as “super.” But sometimes things happen outside of our control, such as being unable to extend your stay b/c we had new guests arriving the next day. We hope this didn’t influence your review.

We must respond to this review, which does not accurately reflect the property or events during their stay. Our property manager, Mikel, provided access and disarmed the alarm remotely because the guests didn't contact him until they showed at the property. He stopped by the next day, made some minor repairs, and confirmed the guests were fine. The dishwasher had a broken clip on the top rack, which was repaired. The refrigerator had two issues: the ice maker hose dripped water under the unit when in use. The next day, it stopped cooling, and ultimately a replacement unit was ordered. Note: Mikel can let staff into the house, so guests are not required to be home for repairs. When we learned of the main refrigerator issue, we apologized and offered an appropriate refund for the inconvenience, plus any food loss. The guests wrote several accusatory messages, which were not aligned with discussions on site, and the guests demanded an unreasonable refund. When this was declined, they wrote another hostile message, which included name calling for Mikel and his staff. We continually strive for the best customer experience possible. Inevitably, things break or issues happen, and we make every attempt to resolve them quickly and make it right. But sometimes, guests are unable find happiness, even in paradise... or they look for reasons to seek a refund for their vacation. We hope that our excellent track record speaks for itself and is not tarnished by this review.

Jessica, thank you for staying with us and so glad we were able to exceed your expectations. Our concierge, property manager, and support team (cleaners, landscapers, maintenance) all work hard to provide guests with the best experience possible. Christina, thank you for staying with us! We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit, and it reminds us of our first visit, where we couldn't wait to return (and maybe move there permanently, someday). You had a wide range of guest ages, so it's wonderful to know that our home could accommodate everyone well. In addition to keeping the place clean (it does get dusty during the dry season), we run two large de-humidifiers in between guests, which helps with keeping the air fresh and avoid getting too humid inside.
