Our smart, airy apartment situated 200m away from Outdoor Lido and Tennis Courts, and minutes walk from Ski lifts & Thermal Spa is awesome for a group of 4 or small family wanting to explore the best in outdoor sports & lifestyle the Pyrenees has to offer.
Luton itself is a fantastic town, with so much to offer in Summer, Winter and in between, and with it being almost on the Spanish border, there are plenty of opportunities for day trips to Spain too.
The apartment itself has a south-facing balcony with beautiful mountain views, a double bedroom with en suite, a comfy sofa bed in the living room, an excellently appointed kitchen and a toilet room. There is also storage in the basement cave where skis etc. can be kept safe.

Week in Luchon

Central location, close to bars/restaurants, shops, and river Parking was easy, street is busy and a little noisy with traffic during the day, at night it was quiet and peaceful. Nice views of the mountain from the balcony. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, had everything we needed.

Perfect location!

This lovely apartment is nicely decorated and has everything you need. The only negative is the fact the bedroom can get a bit warm in the summer. We bought a fan which helped. Very clean and fresh. We enjoyed our stay!

Brilliant apartment

The apartment was in a great location, a short walk from the shops and cafes and next to a beautiful tree shaded park and sports area. Fantastic views of the mountains, freshest of air. The flat had everything we needed, we felt so comfortable there. A very beautiful part of the Pyrenees. The only downside was that the lido was closed for refurbishment (didn't look as if work was starting very soon) and the thermal spas were only open to doctor referrals as also being refurbished, so no swimming within walking distance. We did however find rivers and a lake to swim in not too far away. We will definitely return!

Appartement trĂšs sympathique

Oui certes il peut manquer du WiFi, un micro-onde et surtout surtout une rampe à l'escalier mais j'ai adoré ce lieu J'y ai passé quatre semaines formidables. Situation idéale, charme fou, literie bonne. Tout y est bien pensé Cosy. On s'y sent bien comme à la maison. J'y reviendrai Je recommandé chaudement.

Lovely apartment in a great location

We had a great time at this apartment. It is really well situated for the town and the ski lift. We used the 20% off vouchers for the ski hire and the hire shop, which was at the bottom of the ski lift, let us store our skis and boots there when not in use. The apartment was quiet, apart from the roadworks outside, which I think are due to finish in March. Although we were there in February we still sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the sunshine. The kitchen is well equipped and the town has lots of individual shops with friendly welcoming staff. We will be back.

L’appartement est bien situĂ© mais nous ne sommes pas restĂ©s parce que bous avons trouvĂ© des puces/punaises dans le lit Ă  notre arrivĂ©e. Nous avons avisĂ© le propriĂ©taire qui, n'habitant pas dans la rĂ©gion, a dĂ» envoyer sa personne de mĂ©nage pour constater. Cette personne a trouvĂ© l’appartement « convenable » selon elle!!! Elle prĂ©tend que les bestioles sautant dans le lit venaient de la fenĂȘtre! Cependant, il Ă©tait hors de question de remettre les pieds dans l'appartement. Nous sommes soucieux lorsque nous passons d’appartement en appartement de ne pas traĂźner de bestioles avec nous. Nous voyageons beaucoup et louer un appartement est notre mode prĂ©fĂ©rĂ©. Nous n'avons jamais eu de problĂšmes avec homelidays (plus de 10 appartements) jusqu’à maintenant. Notre aventure avec Nick s est mal terminĂ©e car il n’a pas acceptĂ© de nous rembourser la totalitĂ© du sĂ©jour. Nous avons dĂ» payer en double notre sĂ©jour Ă  BagnĂšres-de-Luchon, ce qui a mis ombrage Ă  notre voyage PyrĂ©nĂ©es/Portugal. Nous retenons qu’il est toujours prĂ©fĂ©rable de faire affaire avec un propriĂ©taire sur place qui prend soin de son logement et qui peut aider plutĂŽt qu’empocher simplement l’argent.

Un méchant escalier

Appartement agrĂ©ablement situĂ© avec une place de parking libre devant la porte de l’immeuble.Il est propre et correspond Ă  l’annonce.MAIS,pour y accĂ©der il faut emprunter un escalier mal Ă©clairĂ© qui n’a pas de rampe,difficile pour des gens ĂągĂ©s encombrĂ©s de leur bagage. Ceci a dĂ©jĂ  Ă©tĂ© signalĂ© par d autres locataires.Comme le propriĂ©taire vit en Angleterre il ne vient pas souvent ,sans doute ,assister aux assemblĂ©es gĂ©nĂ©rales,pour essayer d amĂ©liorer les problĂšmes de l’escalier. Sur la majoritĂ© des boĂźtes Ă  lettres il y avait Ă©galement des noms anglais.Ces propriĂ©taires anglais ne semblaient pas ĂȘtre prĂ©sents lorsque nous y Ă©tions. LaVMC ne marche pas le propriĂ©taire le sait il?Dommage.

Luchon ha sido un descubrimiento,nos ha encantado. Apartamento muy acogedor, luminoso,equipado con todo excepto microondas. Los radiadores calientan enseguida el apartamento. Edredones de sobra en caso de tener frío. Nick tiene multitud de películas,libros de montaña interesantes ademås de juegos de entretenimiento.La ubicación es ideal, cerca de todo, hay un parque precioso al lado,con årboles centenarios,donde pasear con el perro,en caso de viajar con el. Volveremos a Luchon y si fuera posible,en este apartamento.

Great apartment in a lovely location

My husband and I spent a few days in this lovely apartment in Luchon. First off, the communication by the owner is spectacular. He responded to all of my emails and inquiries very quickly. The apartment is very comfortable for two people and is in a great location within walking distance to everything you need. There was no wi-fi working in the apartment, but we were able to find some through our AT&T Passport app, so it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. I would definitely return to this lovely apartment and to Luchon if given the chance.

Nous avons passĂ© un trĂšs agrĂ©able sĂ©jour avec nos deux enfants et notre petit chien. L'appartement et l'immeuble sont agrĂ©ables, rĂ©cemment rĂ©novĂ©s et la dĂ©coration est au gout du jour. L'exposition est idĂ©ale et l'appartement est lumineux avec une belle hauteur sous plafond. Le canapĂ© convertible est trĂšs simple Ă  manƓuvrer, les couchages sont confortables. La cuisine amĂ©nagĂ©e neuve est trĂšs fonctionnelle. A deux pas d'un jardin public, beaucoup de stationnement tout prĂšs, les thermes au bout de la rue. et les propriĂ©taires sont trĂšs sympathiques !

Why they chose this property

Fantastic balcony with great views of the mountains, and access to the most fantastic town in the Pyrenees.

The beautiful Alleé d'Etigny, with its restaurants, shops, Thermal Spa and Ski lift is 2 minutes away. The Lido, complete with Tennis Courts and mini Golf course is less than 200m in the opposite, and you can almost throw a stone into Spain from the balcony.

The Tour de France regularly visits the town also, a must see for any cycling enthusiast.

It's a perfect base from which to explore the mountains, Climb Aneto (the highest peak in the Pyrenees) or other Peaks, Ski, Cycle and venture to the surrounding cities inc. Toulouse (90 mins), Biarritz (2 hrs) and Bordeaux (3 hours), not to mention Bilbao (3 hours) and Barcelona (4 hours).

Skiing; 2 local resorts, Superbagneres and Peyragoudes, with a lift to Superbagneres from the town centre.
Cycling; opportunities to ride the multiple Tour de France cols that surround the town
Walking & Climbing; we've climbed Mt Aneto (we can suggest tour companies if you want to too), and you're in the very centre of the entire mountain range, if you like walking, you'll never want to leave!
Outdoor lifestyle; Winter sports a plenty, swimming, rafting, canyoning, Glider flights, Golf, mini Golf, Tennis (clay courts), the best Surfing in Europe in Biarritz!
Restaurants are seriously awesome, and Alleé d'Etigny is magical at night.
The Thermal Spa is not to be missed, excellent for health and wellness.
Wildlife is also abundant.
