We stayed at Ben‘s place for a fishing trip. There was plenty of parking for our boats and the drive under carport was an added bonus! Super safe at the end of a dead end street, Everything was as described in the listing. It was spotless and fit our needs well. Would stay there again.
Visited the surrounding areas for several days. House was clean, area was very quite, safe. Would probably stay here again when and if we are in the area.
Great place if you are in the area; plenty of space, very clean and comfortable.
All twin beds except the king bed in master was only down fall if traveling with couples.
We stayed here on a work trip. 3 guys. Very peaceful house in a nice neighborhood. Nice to have a washer/dryer onsite for work clothes and the wood stove was great on the cold nites. Would definitely stay here again.

Boyd, thanks for the kind review, I hope you found the local restaurant suggestions good. You guys are welcome back any time!
Property was clean and as listed. However, there was a slight smell of smoke. The house was well stocked with supplies and we enjoyed our stay overall.

Robert, thanks for staying at The Ridge Cabin, Sorry about the slight smell of smoke, and as you know there is a a wood burning fire place. We have had the rental since 2019, and you are the first guest to ever note a slight smell of smoke. Unfortunately, also it is possible a prior guest might not have followed the no smoking rules.
Thanks for the review and I will look into it. 8-5-2021
The home was great. The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that to get to the beds on the first floor, you had to go outside to get to them. We didn't use those. Also, I and my wife have bad knees, and the steps were a little tough. But overall, our stay was great
This is a great place off the beaten path but still close to town and the lake. Our only issue was we were unaware that there was only showers there and no bath tub. Our toddler didn't really like the shower. Other than that we loved it and will most likely visit this place again real soon.

Thanks for your stay, and I look forward to you visiting again real soon.
All I can say is Wow! My husband and I, along with our dogs, rented this cozy mountain top property for a Family Reunion over Labor Weekend. We were blown away by the sheer beauty of this property, which sits on a generous sized lot with views of Guntersville Lake through the trees. The home was immaculate, and the king sized bed in the master bedroom was VERY comfortable! What we enjoyed the most was the two-level porches, one screened and the other open yet "dog proof." This is where we spent the majority of time when we were not at the reunion in Guntersville State Park. Also, this property was so close to the State Park that it only took us around 20 minutes to make the trip to our reunion venue!Highly recommend this beautiful property, and we will be back next year!
This was an exceptionally good experience for our girlfriends retreat. The property was clean and comfortable. We even had a visitor each morning and night - Trixie, the neighborhood greeter dog. Be sure to bring treats! (I left some for the next folks). We were surprised at the drive up to the property. Be prepared for the ultimate in steep mountain roads, but this would not deter us from staying again. The neighborhood was quiet, serene, and emersed in nature.Ben was an excellent host and was very quick to communicate with me regarding our upcoming trip!5 stars for sure.Dr. Melissa Tanner
Great communication with owner. Pics had me thinking I was closer to water and walking trail, but leaves were beautiful. Probably my misinterpretation. Also did not realize all living area was up two flights of stairs. Loved boat area for son’s boat and access to garage. Extremely nice owner!

Patti, I am glad your sons fishing tournament went well. And he had all the boat storage he needed. We have 5 properties around Guntersville Lake, Maybe one of the others would be a better fit next time you are here for a fishing tournament. Just inquire and I will give you the VRBO id numbers.
Thanks
William
Consider soap, shampoo, and body wash. Also consider having drinks and snacks in the unit. Have an honor system for $1, $2, etc snacks and drinks. It’s an easy profit center for you too. Many VRBO sites are doing this. We also put the keys on a more sturdy key ring to prevent them from falling off.
Overall your VRBO is excellent. Take care. Jake.

Jacob, Thanks for your suggestions. I will give them a try.
We needed a place to rest prior to and after our family picnic. This little place was a nice, comfortable place for our family to relax. I would only suggest laundering the pillows and cases. Other than that it was the best.
I accidentally left items at the place and need to pick. I can't find contact info to the host. It was on the refrigerator, but I am no longer there. HELP!!
Y’all if you’re looking for a quaint little place to stay this place is awesome. The full upstairs has two bedrooms, one bath, living room kitchen combo. The downstairs is almost like an apartment of it’s own. He has one bedroom, the laundry room, a bathroom, a microwave, and a sink. It would be very nice if you had middle-aged children traveling with you they would love the thought of being on their own, but you have the comfort of knowing they are still in the same house. The flowers and the landscaping are amazing. I think we’re here for our visit at the perfect time to see the beauty of all the flowers blooming. I would definitely recommend this house and give it a 100% positive review there honestly was no drawbacks to this house , I could go on and on about the day going back in the view of the lake that people y’all really got to see this place. So much to offer and the price is perfect.
