Birthday celebration

My children and grandchildren stayed with me at the Coconut Hut to celebrate my birthday. The house was clean, comfortable, and in a great location to walk to the beach. I intend to rebook!

Great place

Our family enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was quiet. The pool was refreshing. This is a pet friendly house, although the yard was not enclosed. It worked fine for our very well behaved dogs but would have been nice to have an enclosure.

House was great

The house was great. I found the kitchen wasnt stocked as well as I would have liked, the grill has a grate that doesnt fit the grill and will fall into the grill. This is not ideal when trying to cook on it.

Very clean property. A little farther to the beach but that was OK. Lots of appliances and dishes, just not enough wine glasses for the large group. Plastic wine glasses would have been fine.

Family reunion

Recently rented this unit with some family members and other family members rented an adjacent unit. Our overall experience was good! It had everything we needed. It is quite a walk to the beach as it is one of the units closest to the entrance- I would recommend renting a golf cart- we just drove our cars down to the beach which worked out well.

First beach house experience

The house was cute, conveniently located to the beach yet away from the noise of nearby town. The bunk room and game room are separate from the house so be warned your littles must go outside, down a shaky stair from bunk room, then enter a back door to the home before they are with you. We had to put an adult in with them for safety.

Disappointing to say the least

Enjoyed our stay, but disappointing to say the least. The house felt like it was filled with leftovers. The master bedroom's king bed was two mismatched twin mattresses. There was no dresser for clothes and about 8 clothes hangers. No hair dryer, no wine opener, mismatched tupperware with no lids. Just FYI bbq is charcoal, not electric. There was no lighter. And the bunk room is completely separate from the house. We enjoyed the location and golf cart, but definitely would not stay again here. I did call property management about the hair dryer, wine opener and lighter for bbq. They delivered them about 24 hours later.

VISIT TO MUSTANG ISLAND

Nice place to stay with a couple of recommendations to make it better. Shower head in master bath needs replacing. It was mostly clogged up and very few of the nozzle sprayers worked. Dining chairs were sub par. Several of the plastic chairs were cracked. Garbage from the last guests was sitting in bags outside and smelled badly with flies all around it. We had to put them in trash cans and put the trash out on trash day. We did not use grill but it had not been cleaned from the last time it was used. Other than those items, we enjoyed the house and it was very convenient to the beach.

Coconut Hut Surfgiving

The house is nice and clean with beautiful decorations. The air conditioner needs to be replaced with a bigger unit. So very Thankful we only had one day of hot weather. The house was very hot even though we did like the note said to never turn the A/C below 74. Great location.

Place was clean and comfortable. Community pool was not so clean.

House was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the game room. Community pool was foggy and water had a green tint so we not chose to swim in the it. Nice neighborhood but house was located at the main entrance so traffic was a little heavy at times.

The property is nice but had not been cleaned when we arrived. They did have someone come and clean that evening and refunded the entire cleaning fee. Property is very nice and accommodated our party.

Annual Family Vacay

We loved the house. Perfect size for our family of 10. Room for personal time and family time. The kids especially enjoyed the game room. The house was so cutely decorated and The boardwalk was a big plus. We would love to stay again.

Great birthday weekend getaway

Had a great time and the home was very clean. The only bad I had to say is I wished they had more bath towels. The beach is close and walkable. Our next trip the kids want to rent a golf cart to ride to and from beach.

Too expensive to be so far from beach

There are a lot of rules to keep the property nice (which is very understandible) rules on what, how to wash, what is expected to be done before you leave (includes taking the trash to the street) so imagine my frustration when the first night we are there a one of the blue PLASTIC chairs ( you can see them in the picture around the table) broke in half. Day 2, another one broke, Day 3, the next one, also the last because we got tired of falling on our butts! I called each time one broke and let the manager know the break was along the same line where obviously the chair (s) had broken before and were glued. The house is a very comfortable size, the game room was certainly a plus. When looking at the pictures of the beach broad walk, I thought the beach was closer than what is was. I would suggest renting a golf cart because if you don't, beware, golf carts have the right of way on the broad walk.
