Upon arrival we had issues checking in as there wasn’t enough cell service. We drove back out to pick up signal so I could open the email to get instructions. The place could use some tlc. Starting with the beds as they’re all like a futon mattress. The carpet was dingy with stains, there was dust on all vents and the left front door wouldn’t lock. The downstairs toilet struggled to flush, also had a musty odor and the refrigerator leaked water. We cleaned up water everyday from the fridge. All shower liners had mold on them and we had a bear visit both vehicles, leaving marks on the doors. This place is ran down like the rest of Gatlinburg. Also, it’s thirty minutes to town. Doesn’t matter which direction you travel.

We as a family get together for Christmas every year and have enjoyed staying in the Smokey’s for the last couple of years. I like how close this cabin is to Gatlinburg and the little shops on the way to downtown Gatlinburg.
