The Casa da Vigia is a cottage situated in a waterfront location with a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean. This house was recently built on the house of an old whaling and official whaling. At the beginning of whaling, in the parish of Calheta de Nesquim, the site was used for whale watching to have a very broad view of the sea. Upstairs has a 2 bedroom apartment for up to 4 people. It has 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a kitchen and common room. It has a laundry room, a large terrace with wonderful views over the village and the immensity of the sea and furniture to relax and dine outdoors.
The house has an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and wood oven.
The water heating is done with solar energy through two panels and thermo-accumulator.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt für eine knappe Woche

Der Kontakt mit Fatima war sehr freundlich und sie konnte uns einige Tipps geben. Das Haus war sehr geräumig für uns 3 Personen. Durchaus auch für mehr Personen geeignet. Die Küche hatte alles zu bieten was man sich gewünscht hat. Die Zufahrt ist mit einem großen Auto sicherlich schwerer zu befahren, aber sonst wirklich alles top! Liebend gerne wieder :-)

Fatima is a wonderful host. She very warm to welcome us, hospitable and kind to show us the house and amenities and very helpful to facilitate any issues. Also, she’s nice to recommend best restaurants to eat and islands to visit. Overall we had a great time staying in Pico Island especially to her place. Her house is so beautiful, fully equipped and very clean. Her house is very highly recommendable.

Great stay at Casa da Vigia

This is our second stay at Casa da Vigia. The decision to come back was an easy one based on a very positive first experience. The home is an amazing place with a beautiful view of the ocean. The home is equipped with all amenities required to make it feel like home away from home. Sra Fatima is very pleasant and extremely accommodating. Would highly recommend this location for your next visit to Pico. Can't wait to go back again!!

The villa was elegantly modern but with an old world flavor. The ocean view was awesome!! Fatima & Helios were wonderful during our stay and even assisted us in locating family. We would definetly recommend fabulous hidden gem!! Hope to return soon for a longer stay. Obrigado Fatima & Helios!

Die Fewo ist traumhaft gelegen und war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit eingerichtet.

Ein großes Kompliment an unsere Gastgeberin: in dieser tollen Ferienwohnung kann man sich nur wohlfühlen! Das Willkommenskörbchen mit regionalen Produkten machte Appetit auf mehr und war eine sehr nette Geste. Die Ausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Die Lage des Hauses bietet einen traumhaften Blick auf den Atlantik. Schon im Vorfeld der Reise und während unseres Aufenthalts gab es einen sehr guten Kontakt zu unserer Vermieterin. Besser kann Individualurlaub nicht sein!

Tolles Haus mit besten Urlaubsbedingungen

Fatima ist eine ganz nette Vermieterin. Ein Präsentkorb mit Wein Käse Brot erwartete uns beim Eintritt in das anspruchsvolle Haus. Die Lage ist einmalig schön, sehr ruhig und mit allem Erforderlichen ausgestattet. Es liegt östlich der Insel in touristenarmer Region. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht--> das Ideale.

Schöne, ruhige Wohnung - sehr nette Vermieterin

Das erste Mal auf den Azoren, um Meeressäuger zu sehen und zu wandern - das war ein wunderbares Erlebnis. Auch begründet durch die erholsame Zeit in der gut eingerichteten Ferienwohnung mit herrlichem Blick aufs Meer, einschließlich Equipment zur Walbeobachtung. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit an Dona Fatima da Soares. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Tolle Ferienwohnung

Wir fühlten uns in der saueberen gepflegen Ferienwohnung sehr wohl. Von der Terasse aus hat man einen super freien Blick auf den Atlantik somit konnten wir mehrmals am Abend den Delfinen beim Spielen zuschauen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und haben uns sofort wertvolle Tipps gegeben. Für uns ist es klar, dass wir sicher wiederkommen werden.

Loved the house and location. Very quaint.

The home was wonderful and Fatima was a gracious host that provided everything we needed for a great trip. The location was fabulous, overlooking the ocean, quiet, solitude. We really enjoyed our time here and will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely perfect!

What a fantastic apartment! So clean and new, spacious, everything functional and comfortable, fantastic location! We could not have asked for something better and in the 4 years visiting the Azorean islands, this was our best stay. Highly recommended!

This is a beautiful property with all the amenities of home stunning views. I can say it is the best place to stay in Calheta de Nesquim, Pico, Acores. I would definitely spend a few months here in the summer without missing home. Thank you Sra Fatima and Sr. Helio.

Perfecte vakantiewoning voorzien van alle gemakken

Prima appartement , in rustig dorpje Calheta, met uitzicht op zee. Ruime slaapkamers, maar liefst 3 luxe badkamers en een grote living met goed uitgeruste keuken: koffiemachine, koel/vrieskast, 4- pitsinductiekooplaat, overvloedige hoeveelheid bestek en goede pannen. Er staat een televisie en er is een goede wifi-verbinding. Alles is schoon en nauwelijks gebruikt, aangezien de woning vorig jaar is gebouwd. De eigenaresse is zeer vriendelijk en servicegericht. Een auto is nodig, winkels zijn op enige afstand. Grote supermarkt op 16 km. Peter

Excellent Stay. Hospitable Owners

My family and I stayed here for eight nights. Our stay could not have been better. This is a lovely house with wonderful owners. Upon arrival, we we were greeted by the owner Fatima. She seemed to know we were tired from a long journey and had prepared a gift basket for us with some essential Azorean food items to get our trip started. What a nice gesture by the owner and her family. We found the house situated on a hillside with wonderful views of the ocean. One day, we saw dolphins from our patio area. Great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or wine and watch the view. Tranquility is an understatement. Next to the patio is a grill house which is an indoor enclosure designed for barbecuing. It is equipped with wood and was a wonderful addition to the house as we used it to grill our fresh meats. Fatima and Helio did a wonderful job with the grounds and gardens. The landscaping is beautiful and the property is surrounded by a banana plantation and vineyard. At one point during our stay, Fatima and Helio brought us to Helio's cellar where he produces some of the best wine and liquors that I have ever tried. My family and I must thank them for being great hosts and making our stay at their house as wonderful as it was. If you are looking for a tranquil place to stay, this would definitely be my choice and we will return for another stay!

Lovely property. Amazing owners

Myself and two family members stayed here for 8 nights. The house and property exceeded our expectations in every way. Everything was as described in the property summary. When we arrived, we were met by Fátima (the owner) who showed ua around the house. She provided us with a wonderful gift pack of local Pico food with some essentials to get out trip started off nicely. The grounds of the property were surrounded with beautiful gardens, a vineyard, and a banana plantation. There is also a smokehouse on the property that can be used for barbecuing. Also, the view of the ocean is exquisite. We saw dolphins in the ocean from our balcony. Fátima's husband Hélio also amazed us by letting us try his delicious wine and liquor, all of which is truly Azorean. I appreciated the hospitality of both Fátima and Hélio as they went out of their way to make our stay as wonderful as it was. I recommend this house to anyone looking to have a great vacation in a nicely furnished and comfortable home and I am sure I will be back to enjoy this property again.
