About Mary Rachel
Lotus Lake House was purchased for family getaways but we are now proud to share our slice of heaven with people from all over the world.
Mary Rachel purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Mary Rachel chose Floral City
The Dudley families have been vacationing in this beautiful, rustic, secluded neighborhood since 1968.
What makes this Cottage unique
Lotus is the ideal RELAXATION STATION. Coffee on the rockers overlooking the lake first thing in the morning is one of our favorite places in the entire world. You won't want to leave the three rocking chairs. We have a row boat waiting at all times. There is a bike trail .2 miles from lotus. Bikes can be rented .9 miles away. There are many options to set up for, a croquet championship, corn hole or badminton tournaments. Guests have caught nice fish in the lake.
Please consider the following guidelines when booking this property:
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
So enjoyed our stay at Lotus Point this weekend! This perfect lakefront house has everything you need to feel right at home from the moment you walk in the door! Thank you for a wonderful weekend at the lake, enjoying all that quaint and beautiful Floral City has to offer. :)
Oasis vacation getaway
Beautiful and spacious well appointed home situated privately on lakefront property. So quiet, private and peaceful; we felt like we were on vacation without ever having to leave the premises. The owner Mary promptly addressed all questions; the manager Marlene kindly mailed us items we left behind.
As for the house, we were a party of four, and had so much space. The kitchen is spectacular and filled with dishes and gadgets. Appliances were moderned and maintained in the kitchen and laundry area.
The rental is 20 minutes south of Inverness, where we did grocery store and drug store runs, and went to a movie. The rental is an hour’s drive north of Tampa city, where we flew in to the international airport and visited one day. Otherwise we did extensive hiking on trails in the state park system and city of Inverness; we also camped in the state park. Drive times to these areas ranged 20 to 45 minutes.
We hope to come back to this area for more outdoor fun, and hopefully to this same VRBO.
Great lake home if you want some space to spread out.
A great little lake home with lots of space in the kitchen and living areas. Loved the screened porch with the rockers overlooking the pond. The owner was very friendly and attentive. We also rented the sister cabin across the pond because we had multiple family members staying in town, which was very convenient.
This is the second time my family and I have stayed in this cottage. We visit family in the area every year. Usually, we plan some day trips as there is so much to see and do. However, this year, we made no plans. We decided to relax at the cottage because we loved it so much last year. We did shop at a few flea markets and have a few drinks at the Shamrock, but, other than that, we just relaxed, played games, sat on the dock, took the boat out a few times, and just enjoyed each others company. It was perfect.
The cabin is clean and well equipped and even better than the pictures. Mary is very polite and helpful.
Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy this cottage. We will be back.
We loved our stay
We loved our stay. The view of the lake was beautiful. My sister enjoyed going out on the dock. Thats where she spent most of her time. The yard is spacious. The house is clean and most basic needs are supplied like a washer and dryer lol. My only con or advice i may say is that if you have any issues, call the Misses. The Sir doesnt like to be disturbed. There is a combination lock at the gate of the property. Id suggest people get the combination before you get to the property. Beside that, we would definetly go again to this property. Thanks!!
Peace & Tranquility
Our stay was idyllic. If we were not sleeping or out biking/running/walking on the Withlacochee Trail, we were in the screened porch - savoring the sight of the mossy oaks and the serene lake, the sounds of the birds and frogs and the sussration of the leaves, reveling in the warmth and the sensation of gentle breezes on my skin. I miss the limpkin (aka the "night crier"). My only complaint is that I cannot call this place Home!
