Unique Island Getaway On Prior Lake!

The property is completely booked for the 2024 season.

Experience the very best of lake life on your own private island! Bring your boat or rent a boat to spend some time at this newly renovated 3 bedroom home located on a private island on Prior Lake. Situated on Upper Prior Lake, the home offers 360 degree views of the lake including amazing sunrises and sunsets. It doesn't get better than this!
Walk into the newly furnished living room and you will notice a big screen tv with cable television and comfortable seating. Attached to the living room is the updated kitchen and dining room. The dining room is furnished with a massive round table perfect for a big family dinner or a round of cards. The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer combo with lots of room to store food. You will enjoy pristine white cabinets, a new oven with stovetop, microwave and dishwasher plus many, many kitchen items to meet your vacation needs. We also have high-speed internet and Wifi to stay connected to the non-island world.
Each of the 3 private bedrooms have gorgeous views of the lake! The master bedroom has a spacious king bed, closet, and two windows looking out over the water to the south and west. The second bedroom has a queen bed, large closet and also has two sets of windows to enjoy the lake views to the south and east. Our third bedroom has two twin beds, a large closet, and a window looking out over the water to the east. We have beds for 6 guests. Please browse through the photos to see how amazing these bedroom spaces are!
Outside is set-up for fully enjoying summer on the lake! There is a huge wraparound deck, gas grill, picnic tables, fire pit with grate for grilling, paddle boards, paddle boats, kayaks and many other “outdoor toys”. We have 3 docks on the west side of the island that are perfect for fishing, jumping off and relaxing on. Our swimming beach is weed- free and we have endless lakeshore to play on! The fishing right around the island is amazing, too! Want to have dinner out? We are just a short boat ride away from Charlie’s on Prior.
Lone Tree Island is only accessible by boat and we do not offer transportation. Bring your boat (we have a boat slip and car parking available) or rent one from the Prior Lake Pontoon rentals.

Rare find on Prior Lake

This is our second stay at Lone Tree Island. What an amazing property. We had some non-island medical issues come up during our stay and the property manager did everything they could to help us out. If you haven't stayed here, you NEED to! Can't wait to come back next year!

Paradise in Minnesota

Lone Tree Island is an amazing place to check-out for a bit. This is my family's 3rd year visiting, and the kids are already planning for the 4th! Leave your shoes at the landing and prepare to land on an amazing all sand island located on Upper Prior Lake. A quick boat ride will land you at Charlie's for some great food, otherwise load in your groceries because the island has everything you need to stay for a week!

special & charming

Lone Tree Island is such a special getaway! Our friends & family were delighted to spend time enjoying the lake and bonding in this super cute location. Couldn't believe how well taken care of the beaches were. Great fire pit area. All three bedrooms are spacious. Good linens, kitchen cabinets loaded with helpful items, nice touches such as beach towels, smores sticks, etc, firewood & starters, etc. Everyone slept well and loved being here...thank you!!

Private retreat

We’ve been here a few times now with the kids and grandparents. Love that the dogs can stay and play on the beach, and there is always something for the kids to do next (sand, swim, kayak). Great spot.

A fun experience, of course the fact that we had perfect weather certainly helped!

Lots of room, clean, we’ll equipped, comfortable. The all around deck is wonderful! Having Bally sports was nice so we could watch the Twins games. One suggestion, not a huge deal, but all the doors are squeaky, a little WD40 would be nice.

Island Getaway

our experience was awesome. The island was a perfect getaway. Even though you had many people around you boating you felt like you were exclusive. Kathryn was a great manager and help us with any questions. Very comfortable beds and enjoyed the beach and with paddle boards and kayaks. Thank you for sharing the island.

So, so great!

This property is amazing and so are the owners and property manager. We planned our friend's 50th party here and rented a pontoon from Knotty Oar in coordination. We hit a snag in said plan but with some help from the three above, we were able to save our weekend! To say they have gone above and beyond is an understatement! Once inside the cabin, everything was perfect...clean, quiet, had every single thing we could have needed and enough room for a couple extra people to visit during the day to celebrate the birthday girl. We could not have asked for more and I can not recommend this place enough. If you are on the fence, don't be and just reserve it...you will not be sorry!

Great views

We had a great 3 nights at Lone Tree Island to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary. We loved being surrounded by water, and we enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets. We hope to be back - such a nice and clean place!

Nice Getaway

We had a great time in this unique home. Nothing like having your own island. Well stocked and clean. Owner was responsive. To echo reviews, having to handle the garbage was a pain considering the boat was loaded with other things...but not a huge deal.

Perfect Getaway

This property has it all! We had 6 adults and the house had plenty of space to host us comfortably. We had one rainy day during our stay and the dining table is the perfect rainy day board game table! The weather was incredible throughout our weekend and we were able to enjoy the beach area which is perfect and kept weed free for the ultimate enjoyment! You are just secluded enough to have worry free enjoyment and get the private island feel, but also such a quick boat ride to shore to run out if you forgot anything!

Lone Tree is Amazing

Our stay at Lone Tree Island was one to remember! The property is wonderfully situated on Upper Prior Lake on an all sand island. Being able walk throughout the property barefoot was amazing! The house is well stocked and great for a family or group. Fishing off the dock was great. Parking area and boat slip worked well, but we spent most of our time on the island or water. Property manager was great to work with and very responsive. One of a kind, Amazing property!

Best vacation spot ever

My family (2 adults, 1 child, 2 dogs) stayed here for 10 glorious days while visiting family in MN. The house was amazing - beautiful wood everywhere, 3 spacious bedrooms, and an open floor plan. The kitchen had everything we could have needed, and we cooked dinner most nights. There are windows on all sides so you never miss a view. And air conditioning was a real treat given it was 90+ and humid during much of our stay. The island is just the right size, there are trees for shade and privacy, and it was well equipped with water toys. The sandy swim area was perfect for our 8yo to play every day. We fished right off the docks and consistently caught sunnies and bass. The few times we ate out we just took the boat over to Charlie’s on Prior and got great service and tasty food. The designated parking was so helpful and allowed us to easily get in and out to pick up groceries or shuttle visitors. We love, love, love this place and can’t wait to return. Oh, and last but not least, our dogs had the time of their lives swimming and running. L

Great family time at the beach!

We had a wonderful time at this unique and beautiful property, it is just perfect for a family and friend get together, everything was wonderful, the only hard part was disposing of our own trash off the island, we had several loads since we had several visitors, you definitely need a boat to come and go and the parking of vehicles at the launch can be challenging at times But overall it’s really a magical experience that was worth the effort!

Great Family Vacation

Everything was as described. My 3 and 5 year olds had a great time swimming and playing in the sand. There was a nice big area between the docks with minimal weeds and not too deep. The house had everything we needed. We would love to come again sometime. :)

Awesome island getaway on a lake

Unique place to stay on a lake having the whole island. Great place to play on the lake, great place to relax and enjoy the island with the family Including the dog. Ollie the dog had the best time being able to chase the ducks and cranes, dip his toes in the water and jump on and off the boat. The family had fun around the bonfire at night, play a few rounds of bags and relaxed around the big table for meals. Charlie’s on prior was fun boating over even with the dog and welcomed with great boat parking service. Super fun place would for sure come back. Thanks again.

Wonderful place to stay!!

We had a lovely week staying at Lone Tree Island. The furniture and bedding was stylish and comfortable. We loved the big round kitchen table which was great for eating and putting together a puzzle on the rainy days. We also enjoyed the fire pit area which had 4 comfortable metal chairs and a picnic table nearby. The weather was cool and rainy during our stay so we didn’t get much use out of beach area, but it is well maintained. We brought our dogs and it was so nice not worrying about leashes or neighboring dogs. They loved exploring on their own and getting their feet wet. Thanks for allowing pets!! We brought our own small boat and spent as much time fishing as possible. Prior lake was easy to navigate and there was no issues with using the public boat launch. We would definitely stay here again!!

Most amazingly unique getaway!

The property was absolutely amazing! I could not imagine a better vacation. We had a small group of friends and our dogs and everyone enjoyed nonstop lake fun! The entire property is very well maintained inside and out. Kathryn was extremely quick to respond to any questions and was so helpful and communicative for our entire stay. I really hope we will be able to come back next year!
