Family reunion

Really a great place. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the views. It rained (poured)the entire first day trapping 20 adults and 13 children (15 to 1) inside. Everyone had somewhere to sit and visit. The kids had plenty to do. games on top floor, movies on the bottom floor.

Disaster

To begin with, on the way there; 3 hours before arriving; we received a phone call stating we were given the wrong cabin, that it wasn’t rentable. We had rented this cabin in February, our arrival day was December 27th. we had already ordered groceries to be delivered there. As we were unable to cancel the order we have no idea where our $500 in groceries went. While staying there was a thunder storm which caused water in bedroom floors, there was one leak onto one of the guests sleeping in the bed. We had to put pots around to catch leaking water, the refrigerator leaked and had to put a pot to catch that water also. The shower door fell off while my 70 year old mother took a shower. The maintenance man did come but said that water leaking inside of the cabin is NORMAL being that it stormed?? I tried emailing with the contact information given but I still have not received a responce. This cabin was not worth the money.

We are so sorry that you all didn't have the experience you had hoped for. We had terrible rain showers and storms that week that caused some issues. The cabin that you had originally reserved was under some repairs, so we didn't feel that moving you to the cabin directly next door with the exact same layout would have caused any issues, since there are only 2 cabins on that road and they are side by side. We apologize for the confusion this may have caused. We had actually had the shower door worked on that day, and have spoken with the company that we used. We are so glad that no one was injured. We have taken care of the leaks, which do occur from time to time in real log cabins. The leaks were not from the roof, but from the sideways rains. The windows have been sealed to stop this from happening again. Again, we are sorry that your group had issues and hope that you will visit the Smokies again sometime.

Reunion

The view was amazing!! We had 2 bear sittings and that was awesome!! The walls are very thin and the noise from the game room was loud on the main floor.

Great Cabin

The view was unreal. Saw a black bear. Great size cabin with nice beds.
