About the home
“Sunset Cove Hideaway” is a large, delightful double-storey family home in Sunset Strip just a short drive from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs is a central hallway that leads past the front Lounge Room (with TV & chromecast) and Bedroom 6, to the large central open plan Kitchen/Dining (with walk in Pantry). A separate hallway provides access to Bedroom 4 (with BIR), Bedroom 5 with a BIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet), another Bathroom (with bath & shower), a separate Toilet and a Laundry (with washing machine) that leads out to a side Deck. The rear Living Room (with TV & chromecast) leads out to the rear Covered Deck.
Upstairs is a Games Room with Fuzbol table, Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR), access to the rear Balcony and the enormous Bedroom 1 with an attached Retreat, WIR and ensuite (with shower, toilet & double vanity).
Outdoor Areas
The enormous ground floor rear covered Deck (with gas BBQ and seating for 18 people) overlooks the fully enclosed rear yard, which is perfect for children. The side Deck (accessed off the Laundry) has an outdoor shower, and there is a covered upstairs Balcony (with seating for 2). There is parking for 2 cars in the Double Carport (with covered entry to the home) plus space for 2 more vehicles (cars and/or a boat) in the driveway. There is also street parking at the end of the street for any excess vehicles.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners; one in the Living Room downstairs and the other in Bedroom 1, wall mounted electric heating in the front Lounge, Dining Room and downstairs Bathroom, plus five additional stand-alone heaters (one in each of bedrooms 2 to 6) and two fans (stored in Bedrooms 2 and 3) which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 14 beds, accommodating up to 18 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Upstairs): One Queen bed, One set of Single bunks and two Single beds
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Double bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): One set of Single bunks
Bedroom 4 (Downstairs): Two sets of Single bunks
Bedroom 5 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 6 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
