Summary:

A delightful self-contained cottage located in the original house built in the 1920s. You will be captivated by the art deco ceiling ornaments along with the fireplace in the dining area, and surrounding gardens featuring the magnificent Magnolia. The spacious cottage features the main bedroom with a split system (heating and cooling) and ensuite bathroom, a full-size country-style kitchen and dining area complete with a woodfire heater, and a laundry.



The Space:

Your senses will be touched from the moment you enter through the gate.



We're located in the midst of the main tourist area of the Dandenong Ranges a 55 min. drive from the CBD. It's only a 2 min. drive away from the charming Sassafras and Olinda Villages. The national parks and other well-known tourist attractions are also close by.



We are located on a 3.25-acre property surrounded by a very picturesque 90-year-old garden, which can be explored via a 250m walking track. A beautiful creek flows through the forest, a small walk away from the house.



Please note that we welcome children, however, the garden has tall trees, and steep and slippery rocks as it is within the Dandenong Ranges. Parents are advised to keep watch of their little ones.



Guest Access:

You will have full access to explore the garden and forest on the property.



There is access to free wifi.



Getting Around:

It is possible to get to us via public transport with the closes bus stop approx. 160m away. and connections to the trains. However we recommend that you drive to experience all the specials things that the Dandenong Ranges have on offer.

Features: Queen bed / Dining table (6 seaters) / One fireplace (kitchen) / Smart TV / Full-size kitchen containing a fridge, stove, toaster, kettle, microwave, glassware, crockery, and cutlery / Iron and ironing board



Inclusions: A selection of tea / Nespresso machine with capsules / One box of firewood and kindling will be provided (You’ll get one box with 5 firewood pieces, 4 fire starters, and kindling) / Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and soap / Linen and towels / Access to the beautiful art garden.



We provide basic supplies like shampoo, body wash and toilet paper to make your stay more comfortable. For long stays, these may not last the entire time. If you are planning to use the fireplace throughout your stay, we recommend bringing more firewood/kindling from the local supermarket or petrol station on your way to the accommodation.



Please note that this suite is part of an entire property where multiple suites are available for rent. However, each suite has its own entrance, kitchen/kitchenette, and bathroom.



As our property is located in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges National Park, we appreciate that you will understand the garden and landscaping around the suite is a work in progress. We maintain and care for our gardens ourselves because we love gardening; However, the rich nature of this area makes these activities long and constant, especially when battling the dreaded weeds.



Other things to note

Children are welcome but the property is within the Onlinda forest and nature.



We have a storage shed in front of the suite with restricted access to guests. A photo of the shed is provided in our listing.



Interaction with Guests:

The suite has full privacy, however, there are other suites in the complex that may be rented separately.

The guests will check-in online and codes to access the suite will be provided online.
