Gorgeous Cooks Beach and Mercury Bay views beach house. Close to Cathedral Cove.

My personally designed beach house, built for the sea , island views and sun. Wide decks for entertaining and relaxing, enjoy making your own pizza's
in the wood fired oven and sit at night around the outdoor fire pit in the courtyard.
Three bedrooms, 1; 1 queen , 2nd; 1 queen and day bed, 3rd; 1 set of bunks and king single. Private, ample parking, large decks with sea views. Landscaped tropical gardens.
The very popular Cathedral Cove and Hot Water beach are only a 10 min. drive away

Open plan living, easy walk to beach, cafe / restaurants and local shops.

Great beaches, white sand, safe for swiming, boating, windsurfing, sailing, great fishing off beach , shell fish gathering, walking tracks,or just relaxing.

Attractions; Mercury Bay vineyard serving locally produced wine and seafood platters, unique cafes, tennis courts, golfcourse, kayak tours, sailing and fishing charters, ferry service to Whitianga, great walking tracks and fantastic beaches. Cathederal Cove , Hot Water beach,
and two new boutique breweries only 5 minutes away.

Take a short ferry trip to Whitianga township to explore the local markets , shops and restaurants or relax in the beautiful and pampering Lost Springs Resort.

There are diving, sailing, fishing charters available to explore the Bay and outer islands.

Cooks Beach is a great destination for a relaxing holiday, soak up the sun, meet the locals, atmosphere, music, vineyard, cafes, beach walks , tennis, golf, sunrises and sunsets over the
sea.
My beach house is more suited to adults and older children as there are stairs, and the decks are 900mm from the ground.

It has been interior designed and landscaped by me and set up as a " home at the beach" with great care,and passion for treasures I have found and collected in my travels. I enjoy sharing my home with others and expect all visitors to enjoy it and respect it as I do.

Both the gas hob and oven were not working properly and needs to be updated.Kitchen bench stools old and very uncomfortable. Outdoor furniture also old and needing upgrading.Be warned there are no insect screens and the mossies bombarded us at night.

Wonderful location & peaceful setting

We had a wonderful stay at Suzy's place. Great spot just minutes from the beach and with stunning views throughout the day or night. Suzy was quick to replace the fridge which suddenly and randomly broke on Christmas Day and made sure we were able to keep our food fresh while that was happening. Very accommodating and great host.

Magnificent views of Cooks beach & quirky comfortable holiday home

This was a special location. We loved the options for outside living - downstairs deck, upstairs deck (off master) and the backyard with pizza oven. The house is stocked with everything you might need and more. Suzy was great communicating with us re the impending arrival of cyclone Gabrielle, and offer to stay longer if we got stuck. We recommend this as a holiday spot !

Incredible Place and Area

The photos of this place doesn’t do it justice. Magnificently beautiful. The view is incredible. We didn’t want to leave! There is lots of hiking right there. Easy to get to many beautiful spots and easy beautiful walk to the beach. Close drive to the ferry landing if you want to go to the lost spring or eat downtown. Also the other direction has great food and shops as well. Super close to cathedral cove and hot water beach. The house was also decorated so cute. We felt right at home. Perfect stay! Hope to come back in a few years. We will definitely stay again

"Spectacular" Stay at Suzy's - Cook Beach

Suzy's holiday home is spectacular! She has created a french flair inside and out. Her creativeness was wonderful to embrace. The view, the outdoor entertainment areas, and all the beautiful decor made it such an interesting stay. We were lucky enough to meet Suzy during our stay and learnt about the build of her home and items she has collected over the years. She was an incredible host and an inspiration to our family. We hope to revisit again and will certainly tell friends about Suzy and her home. We had such a great stay!

I designed , built and landscaped my beach house in 2010, overlooking Mercury Bay. I have
lived and worked here as a landscape and interior designer for 20 years and love the area.

Why they chose this property

The magic views all year round of the sea, sunrises and moon scapes over the sea, easy short walk to our 2km long white sandy beach with great swimming, kayaking and fishing were the draw cards that brought me back here as did
my parents when they settled here in the 1980's.

What makes this property unique

Private , subtropical landscaped grounds, bush backdrop, wood fired pizza oven, 2 kayaks
to explore the beaches, caves and private beach. Only a short drive to Cathedral Cove , Hot Water beach. Short drive to the passenger ferry which takes you to Whitianga.
