Located at Cape Foulwind, a short drive from Westport, the cabin enjoys unobstructed views of the Tasman Ocean and The Steeples Rocks.

The Cape Rocks allows you to enjoy the beauty of the rugged West Coast right at your doorstep! Take a short walk to the pristine, quiet beaches or view the seals on the popular Lighthouse walkway. Finish off your day with a drink and meal at the local pub or enjoy beautiful local food at the famous Bayhouse restaurant.

You will leave The Cape Rocks feeling refreshed and re-invigorated!

Breath taking view in tranquillity

Stunning view and peaceful environment. Good place for retreat. The bed is small for 2 adult and 1 child. Far from it everything’s perfect. Highly recommend!

Friendly Wekas

The host was great at communicating even though she was living in Canada. The property was cosy and homely. We loved the tame Wekas right outside the front door.

Great place to stay in unique setting

Brilliant place for two people to stay, we had stunning hot sunny days and was hoping for one rain day to watch the mood of the sea.Lots to do nearby and a good base to venture to Karamea or inland up the Buller river

Kiwi bach, par excellence!

Really well presented - a lovely 'Kiwi bach', with all the mod cons, and in a gorgeous, oft unsung part of Aotearoa. A total bonus - no sandflies!! Superb communication with Lucretia very much appreciated.

„Clifftop“ beautiful little house in a beautiful location

Perfect setting on top of the cliffs with great views, nice pattio. Do not miss the walk down to the beach! Place is perfect for two peiple but can easily accomodate three. We only spent one night, would have loved to stay longer. Perfect place for a stopover when exploring the West coast

Perfect spot

Great stay in a cosy spot. Perfect for watching the West Coast weather and a good base for some on foot exploration. Enjoyed watching the weka and the tavern round the corner.

Cape delight

Had a lovely , quiet, relaxing time here. communication was good and clear set of guides to house and keys. terrific views of the ocean, which was in full roar while there. beautiful cape walk around lighthouse and seal colony. Wind was invigorating to say the least, but not a scrap of litter to be see on the beaches and walks! Flaxes shimmered in the wind and sun, really blew the cob-webs out!. A short drive to Westport to some to the best pies you'll ever get ya teeth into, a must esp' is ya a non-kiwi and not used to real pies made properly. The house was clean, spacious, well appointed and had really nice unfussy setup. If your considering...just go, its a really great get-away you'll love. Wekas will entertain you as you relax. Great spot for all, mind the first step on the beach front though, its a bit of a goodun.

Winter bike trail

Lovely weather. Kawatiri bike trail is superb. Pub food really nice - very substantial! A great weekend.

Cape escape

Perfect location for a getaway to unwind, and connect with the environment. Cape Foulwind Clifftops bach will not disappoint. Communication with host seamless. The bach was pristine clean, warm and has everything you need . . . a home away from home. We are outdoor people and enjoyed the walking tracks close by. This is one place we will return too.

Fabulous little house in special location

Lucretia's house is a special place to stay in the Cape Foulwind area. Very warm & comfortable, with lovely Kiwi kitsch touches. It is tucked away (almost) on the end of a wee road, yet just minutes' walk from the Star Tavern and one of the most spectacular overlooks on the Kawatiri Coastal Trail. My friend and I had a fabulous time there and I look forward to returning.

A little piece of paradise

The Cape Rocks is the perfect place for a relaxing and peaceful few days away. Its tucked down the end of the road, so there's no passing traffic, and the only sounds you hear are the sea, and the odd Weka. The bach is warm, clean and comfortable and has everything you need for a lovely few days away. We enjoyed lots of lovely beach walks and it was a real bonus to be able to bring our dog along. 10 minutes to town for groceries. Perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.
