We absolutely loved our stay here. It was the perfect place for our family. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We chose this property for our wedding stay and it couldn’t have been more special. The hosts were also incredibly friendly and helpful which made our stay even better.

The location was good and the view was amazing, but unfortunately the property itself was very disappointing.The biggest issue was the white/cream leather couch. It was extremely dirty, heavily stained and discoloured. The photos speak for themselves. When I raised this with the Bachcare agent, I was told it was “old style furniture.” Sorry, but I completely disagree. I respect old furniture—old furniture can still be clean. This was not about style or age; it was simply extremely dirty and poorly maintained. Other furniture was also badly worn and splitting at the seams.The TV was another headache. It took over an hour with the agent just to get it working. Worse, it was mounted at a ridiculous upward angle towards the ceiling, making you watch with your head tilted up and even stand to use the remote properly. The owner said this was to avoid reflection from the sliding glass door. Amazing answer—surely blinds or curtains would be a more sensible solution!Basic amenities were also missing: no tissues, almost-finished kitchen paper towel, and no soap, shampoo or body wash.For accommodation at this price, this felt like cheap hospitality and unnecessary cost-cutting. Great view, but I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Thanks Amit, we agree, its probably best to look elsewhere next time, all the things mentioned we feel are personal taste as this is someone's home. There is an angle for the TV, but this hasn't been a problem for viewing as it is already quite high up the wall. We will check though why it was taking so long to get it going that day as usually done quite a head of time - It is a big house to be that close to the surf beach, and in the peak times as well as the quiet it still holds its worth. Beautiful home in ideal location

My family and myself had a great stay. There was everything we needed in the kitchen, the home was very clean and nice and modern, and the location was ideal.

Great property. What a view!

Clean and welcoming, this was a wonderful property for a bunch of Mum's escaping the kids for the weekend. Perfect location, friendly and helpful shuttle service and the views!

Great location and fantastic views. Was a great size house for us (8 adults and 2 children) the main lounge and kitchen area accomated us comfortably.

Manawhai group stay

Fantastic property for a large group, amazing ocean views and plenty of space. Property manager was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Will absolutely be coming back here again.

Close to the beach, spacious home great for groups

We had a lovely stay, the property is spacious and the large deck just perfect for meals and afternoon drinks. Close to the beach which is great. The kitchen is well equipped, great water pressure in the bathrooms and excellent parking for multiple cars.

Winter escape

Fabulous house to share a winter escape. Spacious and very close to beach walks. Beautiful views for time spent indoors and large gas fire gives a cosy vibe.

We loved the house. It was comfortable with a lovely kitchen. The open rooms and the deck really brought nature in. Conveniently located next to a beautiful beach and hiking trail.

Amazing weekend Away at Spits End.

The property is very well maintained and equipped. The views from the lounge/kitchen area are amazing. The location is also very handy with the house only being a 5-minute walk to the beach which has amazing walks, or the supermarket. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

Fantastic!

View from the main lounge and top 2 bedrooms is absolutely gorgeous. House is a short walk to the beach. Fantastic house for our large family group. With 2 x bedrooms downstairs plus 2 bathrooms and separate toilet. We highly recommend the property and would stay there again.

Mangawhai treat

This is second time we’ve rented this property. It’s well situated, close to beaches and very comfortable. Indoor dining table could be bigger (for larger groups) however everything was well appointed and a delight.
