Te Kouma, Coromandel. Steps away from safe swimming beach and fishing access.

Located on the beautiful Te Kouma Road, this peaceful bay is the ideal location for families, fishing groups or for a quiet peaceful weekend away. The sandy beach is ideal for safe swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking or just laying on the beach.

There are many fishing charters available from Hannaford's Wharf and boat launching from the beach or Sugar Loaf Ramp, all within close walking distance. This is the Kingfish and Snapper fishing playground with many mussel farms and islands to fish around. We have 2 beach kayaks and a paddle board available for your use. A local Kayak company is also available to hire extra stand up paddle boards or kayaks that can be delivered to the beach.

The house also has access to the games room, kayaks and paddle board. Additional mattresses available on request.

There is plenty of room to park your boat (see the Ts & Cs for boat access to property) and a filleting station to prepare your days catch before cooking your meal. There is a bait freezer in the games room.

300m: Hannaford's Wharf
750m: Sugar Loaf Boat Ramp
10 minute drive: Coromandel Township
15 minute drive: Driving Creek Railway, Zipline and Pottery Experiences
7 minute drive : Start of the 309 Road, where you will find The Waterworks Fun Waterpark, Waiau Kauri Grove and Waterfalls and scenic country drive through to Whitianga.

Strictly NO Smoking or Vaping indoors.
No pets. Please respect the local wildlife, you will often see quail, tūī and kererū from the deck.
Do not use Bathroom towels on the beach/outdoors.

CLEANING: A compulsory cleaning fee of $140 will be added to your booking confirmation per stay.

LINEN: Supplied on beds. Beach towels and extra linen available for hire on request.
(Extra linen NZ$15 per person, pack of 5 beach towels $25)

We had a wonderful time. Very relaxed. Something for all ages, table tennis, basket ball, games, sky TV. Boat ramp nearby and even fish that wanted to be caught.Perfect for our family of 3 generations.

Great holiday

This is a great place to stay. The house is located close to a nice town with grocery store and many nice restaurants for breakfast and dinners The house clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Lynley was very helpful when we had any questions or needed anything. Enjoyed Coramendel

Family trip

We stayed for 2 nights and went to see the waterfall, trainride and zipline in Driving Creek and did some fishing. We had a lovely dinner in Coromandel town and the other night we used the barbecue at the house.

Gorgeous big spacious place

Amazing place for two families to stay at. We had such a lovely time enjoying the view; the facilities and the kayaks. Beds were comfy and the kitchens were well provisioned. We will be back!!

Lovely spot - heaps of space

Great house - very clean and tidy. Plenty of space to spread out. Lots of parking. Easy access to boat ramps and beaches.House had everything we needed - could do with a bit more light in the living area as a number of the light fittings were broken. Kitchen was well supplied.Overall we had a great stay and will definitely book again.

Nice for families

I was happy that everything necessary for a comfortable family holiday was providedThe view was great, lots of space, lots of activities for kids If we stayed longer an extra washing line might have been goodWas clean on arrival, beds were comfortableI thought it was as good as or even better than promised. Great for two families with young children. Very comfortable bed upstairs and good furniture providing fantastic views.Only downsides were lack of wifi and spotty cell phone coverage. Great experience overall, thank you!

Full of character in the lap of serenity

I can not think of anything which was missing. Very well organised and equipped. Books, toys, kayak, TT table, dart, loaded kitchen, stunning sea view, fruit trees, …our group had a fulfilling summer together. Only thing missing was internet…but it was awesome to be apart from it, we had a quality time with no phones. Could not stop myself to visit again…cheers

Relaxing family-friendly spot close to the beach

After a check-in hiccup due to Bookabach sending the wrong access code, we managed to get in. Communication direct with the owner was really good after that. Easy place to stay with kitchen facilities upstairs and down and BBQs. Lovely big deck with awesome views. Paddles for each kayak would have been great, rather than just one, but otherwise no complaints. It had everything we needed for a relaxing beach holiday with small children in a peaceful area. Friendly, helpful neighbours, including the kereru! Even caught some fish! Plus got given some bigger ones off the nearby wharf when a charter boat came in. We would stay again.

Absolutely Brillant!!

This place is awesome!! Exactly as described. Location is great, with plenty of car and boat parking, also close to ramps for launching. SUPER clean, tidy and fresh. The retro feel is refreshing and relaxing. Beds are comfy, cupboards well equipped. The owner is pleasant and friendly to deal with and very helpful. The only fault I would say is the shower could do with more pressure. We can't wait to get back there and stay again, felt like a true holiday. Many thanks for having us :)

Location was amazing

We loved our long weekend so much. Was a bit of a shock for everyone not having wifi or service inside the house, but made up for it with fishing, swimming, DVDs and hanging out together, including chilling in the sun outside. Beds were really comfy and had everything we needed. Thank you! Will definitely be back x

Beautiful Spot

A great little bach with everything you need for a weekend away fishing. Plenty of parking for the boat, a short drive to the beach to launch (or ramp) and a filleting bench back at the house to filet the days catch. Will definitely be back to stay again.

Sitting on the couch outside and just relax and enjoy the silence. 👍 The retro interior was cool and the place was spotless and very tidy. The whole family enjoyed this place. We will definitely book this place again.

Had a fantastic family holiday at this bach. Well set out, and so close to the beach for walking our kayaks to the water - it ticked all the boxes. The communication was great and we would definitely recommend this place!
