Unpleasant experience
Future bookers beware. We booked this property expecting access to the pool, hot tub, gym, and garden as advertised, but guests booking through Vrbo are not allowed to use any building amenities. This was confirmed by the concierge and signs in the building, despite the host misleading us both in the listing and in direct messages. When we asked for a partial refund for the amenities, he refused and falsely claimed the building chooses who can use amenities. Days later, he quietly edited the listing to remove them,though the “jetted tub” still appears, even though none exists. This felt dishonest and left us extremely disappointed. Other issues added to the frustration: “essentials” were limited to two toilet rolls and one paper towel roll for an entire month. From the start the washer smelt horrible ,so badly we had to step outside while doing laundry. The listing promised a queen bed and pullout, but the “pullout” was a rickety cot unsafe for sleeping, and the couch wasn’t suitable for an adult. The bathroom light sensor left us in the dark within a few minutes, forcing us to buy our own light for showering. Overall, this property was not as advertised and felt misleading at every turn. VRBO provided no support, and the experience left us feeling scammed. Future guests should know the amenities are inaccessible, promised comforts may not exist, and the listing cannot be trusted. We would not stay here again.
