Nerreman Cottage is a beautifully restored c1919 farmhouse set on 5 acres in the picturesque Wollombi Valley - conveniently located a 15 minute walk from the historic Wollombi Village.

Attending a wedding in Wollombi? We are a 6 minute drive from Redleaf, a 4 minute drive from The Woodhouse and a 7 minute drive from Mystwood.

The perfect stay for couples and small groups seeking a slow, relaxing, country escape.

The charming 100 year-old cottage fronts the Wollombi Brook and overlooks undulating grassed paddocks with a beautiful mountain backdrop.

The cottage has been lovingly restored while retaining its original character and old-world charm. We hope that the cottage will feel like a home away from home and provide everything you need for a relaxing stay.

The cottage's 3 bedrooms comfortably sleep 6. Bedrooms 1 and 2 have queen beds and bedroom 3 has two single beds. All bedrooms have quality linen, ducted heating and cooling and ceiling fans.

The bathroom has a deep claw footed bath with an overhead shower. There is a second toilet in the laundry. Bath towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are all provided.

There is a washing machine in the laundry for longer stays.

The eat-in country kitchen is well equipped and the dining table comfortably seats 6. The pantry is stocked with salt, pepper, oils, coffee, selection of teas, hot chocolate and marshmallows! There is reverse cycle heating and cooling in the kitchen and a ceiling fan.

The living room features a comfy modular lounge, a slow combustion wood fire (we supply firewood in the cooler months), ducted heating and cooling and a ceiling fan. Curl up on the lounge by the fire with a good book or watch your favourite program on the smart TV.

The large back deck has beautiful views over the property and is the perfect spot for summer BBQ’s or lazy days reading a book on the daybed. There are additional cane chairs on both verandahs so there is always a shady – or sunny spot to sit and enjoy the garden and country air.

PLEASE NOTE: Bedroom access is determined by guest numbers. This allows smaller groups to enjoy our home without needing to pay for unused bedrooms. You will have the cottage to yourself and unneeded bedrooms will be closed off. Please let us know if you would like a specific bedroom made available or a bed made up.

Bedrooms that aren't needed will be closed off. 1-4 guests offers 2 bedrooms and 5-6 guests offers 3 bedrooms.

Other things to note:
The property has Telstra and Optus mobile phone reception. Unfortunately there is no Vodafone coverage anywhere in the Wollombi Valley.

The bathroom has a step in bath with shower over so this listing may not suit those who have mobility issues. Portacot available at the property (fitted sheet supplied guests to bring all other linen).

Nerreman Cottage has a strict NO PARTY policy. Please be mindful that sound carries in the valley, particularly at night. We ask that guests are respectful of our neighbours and their privacy.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY : For the safety of our guests and property we have exterior security cameras monitoring the entrance to the property located on the outside of the house pointing towards the white picket gate and one on the little shed in front of the cottage pointing towards the driveway. The cameras do not record inside the house or any private areas.
