Scenic Views: Breathtaking, and uninterrupted mountain vistas. Watch the sunrise with a cup of coffee or unwind with a glass of wine as the sun sets and if you listen carefully, you will hear the peaceful sounds of the waterfall just below the cabin!

Warm & Inviting Interior: Featuring a wood-burning stone fireplace, and well-outfitted kitchen, the open layout is perfect for gathering with loved ones. Cabin includes two spacious bedrooms, each with plush bedding and ample storage. We are kid and dog* friendly and we provide 2 portable gates and a highchair.
• Main floor bedroom has queen bed and chair for relaxing.
• The primary bedroom upstairs has a king bed, Smart TV, sitting area and recliner and faux fireplace.
• The queen sofa bed in the loft provides extra sleeping options as well as another deck for enjoying the majestic long-range mountain views.

Relaxing Hot Tub: Soak in the private hot tub while enjoying the serene mountain views. If you’re lucky, you will hear a hawk or an owl at night. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure!

Outdoor Adventures: Explore nearby hiking trails, go fishing in pristine Elk Creek, fly through the mountains on Leatherwood’s zip-line course, take a horseback trail ride or simply stroll through the picturesque surroundings. In winter, enjoy skiing and snowboarding at nearby resorts only an hour away. Pack a snack or picnic in the fully outfitted classic picnic basket for your adventures hiking through the miles of trails, fishing, biking, or horseback riding.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, gated Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains’ pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, playground and tennis and pickleball courts, creek tubing (seasonal) and zip-lining, on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).

Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.
