Had a fantastic stay and Gibbs Glade villa. The house was spotlessly clean, with a well maintained garden and pool and great outdoor space. Everything required for a relaxing stay was provided. Beautiful beach is a short walk away but a car is needed if you want to explore the island further. Chanice was always responsive and helpful with any queries. I can't fault anything!

I had an amazing stay at this villa in Barbados. From the moment I arrived, everything was clean, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described. The space was comfortable, relaxing, and felt like a true home away from home.The location was perfect—close to the beach, restaurants, and everything I needed throughout my trip. I especially loved how peaceful and private the property was.Our host was kind, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. Check-in was simple, communication was easy, and any small questions we had were answered right away.I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation in Barbados.

We had a great time. The house is comfortable and large enough to relax in the beautiful lush space. Rooms are comfortable. The outdoor space is fantastic. Less than a 10min walk to the beach. Definitely worth the money!

Simply Beautiful!

I would like to thank Charmaine and team for such an amazing stay at Gibbs Glade Villa. From booking to check out, the process was flawless and the actual villa was beyond anything we could imagine. We had all the expected conveniences and beyond, especially when traveling with little ones the fear is that something essential would be left at home, but this villa was equipped with everything! We spent our final day at the beach and in packing to head to the beach I realised that I forgot our beach bag at home, but right there at the front door were 2 beach baskets that held all our stuff. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful villa and also recommending to our friends and family. Our boys will never forget this vacation!

Lovely villa but a few hiccups

The villa is well presented, situated ten minutes walk from two of the best beaches on the island, Gibbes and Mullins. It is large and open plan, with two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom each with plenty of storage and AC as standard. Two of the bedrooms are en suite whilst the third bedroom has the use of the 'family bathroom'. All bathrooms are clean and reasonably modern. The beds and bedding are of excellent standard. The fourth bedroom is in a garden room the other side of the pool and is smaller than the villa bedrooms. It has an adequate en-suite bathroom, also on the small side. The AC unit in the room leaked the day we arrived and resulted in soaked through mattress/pillows and bedding. We had to strip the bed and make the best of it until it was repaired the next day. The engineer told us the unit was dirty. The kitchen is large and modern and has most of the accessories you would expect. However, the drawers in the fridge were broken which resulted in limited storage space for bottles etc. Not what we expected. A spotlight in the kitchen flashed constantly but was not replaced during our 10 day stay despite more than one request. The highlight of the villa is the outdoor space, with a BBQ, large seating area for dinner and a separate lounging area. The pool area is great. However, there were only six sunbeds despite us being a party of 7. The cleaner (Shan) was helpful but communications with the housekeeper were slow. In summary, a nice stay.

Just wonderful

we chose this location as we have been to this part of the island before and were able to have other family staying in a villa close by. It is our favourite area- so quiet but so close to the beach , easy to catch buses from the main road and drive the beautiful spots to visit in the north. The property is so clean and well looked after . We couldn't imagine why we might need a housekeeper and gardener so often, but in fact it kept the house, garden and pool area looking so good, clean and tidy. The communication with the owner is quick , seamless and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped - we were able to cook many family meals without struggle, the air con works perfectly and the daytime breezes keep the house cool in the day. The little cottage was perfect for a young couple and the mini gym was used by our group. Mullins and Gibbes beaches are so close, -all in all couldn't be better. Thanks Maria.

Lovely villa

GGV is a lovely, well appointed villa. The grounds are good for a small/medium group - there are 8 loungers around the pool but if you are indoors then you can only sit 4 to watch the TV indoors, and then a further great separate TV lounge for another 2 people. There were just 2 of us and we are used to a lot of space! Sophia and Trevor were very nice but arrived by 7am every day. They were very respectful and really helpful so you just need to work out what works best with you for cleaning and help etc. My only small complaint would be that its really really dangerous to walk by the pool when its wet - either from the rain or cleaning .

Gibbs Glade

Absolutely perfect for a family and friend attending a wedding. Owner and host couldn't have been more knowledgable or helpful. The whole stay was fun from start to finish. Great location - short walk to the beach - and everything one could need at the Villa itself. We'll be back!

Pure relaxation

We finally got to Gibbs Glade Villa at our third attempt due to Covid and it was more than worth the wait. Maria was incredibly accommodating and patient through the whole process and a fount of good advice and information. She arranged Fast Track (well worth it) and pick up at the airport which made the arrival experience a breeze and everything was ready for us at the Villa. When we got there, Sophia was very respectful and helpful and we saw the care she took in looking after the villa as was the case with the garden. It is a real home from home with everything thought of and very comfortable. The terrace is where we spent most of the time either eating, chatting, reading or just relaxing. The location is perfect as Mullins Beach and Gibbs Beach are both just 5 minutes away. Mullins is busier with sea sports and the great Sea Shed with great food, cocktails and beach loungers. Gibbs is a little paradise, never busy and a picture postcard Caribbean beach. You must also try Local & Co. in Speightstown which is relatively new, uses local ingredients and is very high quality. We have been going to Barbados for 15 years and tried lots of different and very nice villas but this is the best and the one we will definitely return to.

Paradise!

We returned last week after 17 amazing days at GGV. I can honestly say that it was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. We are a family of 5 (3 grown up kids who still come away as we pay for them!!) and from the moment we walked through the door we felt at home. The villa had everything you need and if you had a question whether it was about the villa or Barbados Sophia (housekeeper) was always on hand to help, she was truly amazing. My experience was great from start to finish as Maria (owner) helped with everything from booking/fast track/car hire/food delivery/pcr info etc. Nothing was too much trouble. The area was fantastic and I think Gibbs beach will always be my favourite beach in the world - clear turquoise water, white sand and usually just us on the beach. Mullins was also great, we loved cocktails at Adrians while we watched the sunset and dinner at Seashed was always perfect. We travelled all over the island mainly by car but I think one of our best experiences was the yellow bus (not for the faint hearted!!). We always felt safe as they take covid seriously but never felt it affected our stay. We felt very lucky to be in the villa as a hotel would have meant a different type of curfew (ours was cocktails by the pool!). Writing about this makes me feel sad to be sitting in my office in London but we will definitely go back. Thanks again for the best summer x

Perfect private villa near the beach, shops and restaurants

Excellent location, beautifully decorated and maintained, safe quiet neighbourhood, near shops and restaurants, and with lots of space. We have just had 3 weeks at Gibbs Glade villa, and can only say positive things about it. With plenty of space, the house is fully equipped with everything you need, high speed internet, beautiful gardens, lovely style of decor, and within easy reach of many beaches and Speightstown or Holetown for groceries, bars and restaurants. Whilst Barbados is different because of Covid, and many places are still closed, we found plenty to do. And having the beaches almost to ourselves, was a dream come true for us. The icing on the cake was Sophia our amazing housekeeper, and Trevor who kept the garden beautifully trimmed and cleared. Sophia will look after your every need, and is a mine of information for the island. Don't hesitate to come to Barbados and give the island and locals some support, they are handling Covid better than anywhere I know in the world, and I've never felt safer. We have moved on to another property now as we want to see all areas of the island over the next 5 weeks, but we will miss Gibbs Glade and we will certainly miss Sophia!. Don't hesitate to book!

Great house in Gibbes

This is a large, well-equipped house in a very quiet neighbourhood, just a short walk from the beach. The owner was very helpful with the arrangements and the staff were very good. And it's a good house for children. Our 7, 3 and 1 yr olds loved it, especially the pool. And spotlessly clean. We took the bus to Holetown and Speightstown for shopping and walked to local restaurants, Sea-Shed, Heinz, Bombas and Da Outback are all good. We had a wonderful stay and hope to do it again next year.

Fantastic Gibbs Glade

This was our seventh stay at GGV, once again we had a fantastic time, the staff were very friendly & hard working. Sophia the new house keeper was a star, nothing was too much trouble. The villa as always had everything we needed, plus of course is only a very short walk to the lovely Gibbs beach.

Beautiful property and staff.

From beginning to end, Maria and her team were AMAZING! We travelled as a group of 6 to Barbados for my 40th birthday. Once we arrived at the villa, we were not disappointed. The proerty is beautiful (pics do not do it justice), very well maintained and equipped with everything we could possibly need, with lots of room for all 6 of us plus some. Maria answered my millions of questions over the year of planning this trip, was patient with our ever changing plans (we had one couple cancel), suggested the awesome catamaran tour we took and set up a chef for my birthday dinner which was a bajan feast. The house is super close to two beaches, with easy access to transit for touring the island. Maria and the GGV team's attention to detail and friendly interactions make this villa a must if traveling to Barbados. Sophia was our house keeper. Again, she was amazing. I can't say enough good things about how awesome it was to have her with us. She provided us with advice, suggestions and a reminder to always wear our sunscreen! 🤣 We looked forward to seeing her every day. We were well taken care of, and even a bit spoiled by Maria and her team. I would 100% recommend GGV, and hope to be back soon!

A great house. With assistance for all your needs at your finger tips. I didn’t realize the house was cleaned every day when I booked it. It was by a fantastic lady who could help with everything. My teenage kids loved it. We even had access to the private and fantastic Royal Westmoreland Golf Club. If you’re a golfer this house is for you.

Absolutely perfect - perfect location, beautiful home & truly first class stay

Location: if you haven’t been to Barbados before, GGV if located north of Holetown near the Mullins beach. We hired a car and went all over but at the end of the day, Gibbs and Mullins beaches are the best - 5 mins walk from the villa. It’s as close to Paradise as you’ll get. The Villa is incredibly well kept, it has everything you could imagine including Sophia who is the daily housekeeper - the place is always immaculate (no mean feat. with 2 small kids about!!) We all loved our stay here. The communication with us and the host was quick and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I can’t rate this stay highly enough, it was exceptional in every way. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Luxury week in luxury villa

We are five adults who spend wonderful week at Gibbs Glade Villa in October 2019. There would have been room also for more people. Three of bedrooms are in main building and one is in the pool house. They all have air conditioning (so it’s easy to sleep) and a private bathroom. The villa has lots of space and the terrace is large and comfortable. We spend almost every evening there outside. Sometimes we grilled there, which is another option for eating out. In a studio house there is a sofa and large tv but we didn’t need that. Also the pool area is great. There are sun beds for six persons and also chairs and umbrellas. It was good to have waching machine in a villa so we didn’t need to pack so many clothes with us. Sophia took good care of the house and cleaning and Trevor did gardening. Deborah visited to see that everything is ok. Also the pool guys came to clean the pool. The Gibbs Beach is only 5 min to walk. We went there every morning to swim. Water is clean and clear – and warm. We also saw many outstanding sunsets there. Also Mullins Beach is very close and there is more activities like sunbeds, water skiing, bar, restaurants etc. The buses drive very often in both directions but we had a rental car. So it was easier to explore the island. We also went to a catamaran cruise (Good Time Too) as recommended and that day was great. We can highly recommend Gibbs Glade Villa and hopefully someday we can go back there!

Excellent Villa

Gibbes Glade is a wonderful villa. The place is very well kitted out, and there are staff in everyday to help maintain a high standard of living. We throughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend this place. Maria keeps in contact on a daily basis and the manager will check in most days to help with anything too.

Perfect in every way

We have recently returned from a wonderful 10 night stay at GGV where we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We were a party of eight comprising of two families with 3 teenagers and an 11 year old and the villa was ideal for our group. Everything from the initial booking to the help, support and guidance offered by Maria and her incredible team was just perfect. We had had the most amazing time and made wonderful memories to cherish and we cannot thank Maria enough for all the care, attention to detail and guidance she gave to enable us to have a truly memorable experience. Maria's recommendations were spot on; we will never, ever forget the Good Times catamaran cruise where we swam with turtles - I was so overwhelmed by the experience, it made me cry! The villa is a wonderful sanctuary where we enjoyed outdoor meals, swimming and games and where we shared much laughter and far too many rum punches! The monkeys even visited us one afternoon which was a huge treat for us all. Tonya and Natalie were so friendly and always there to help if needed and Donald is such a wonderful gentleman who went out of his way to show us the local sights. It is rare today to find people who care so much about the happiness of others and we would like to thank Maria and her fabulous team for their attention to detail, their genuine care and for making our special holiday and our 25th wedding celebrations ones to truly remember....we loved every single moment and we will be back... Thank you Maria!

Wonderful 2 Week Stay

We have recently returned from a 2 week holiday at GGV. Upon arrival the house was immaculately maintained and was better than the pictures show. The pool and surroundings were excellently maintained. The BBQ was great, and we cooked on it most nights when we didn't go out for dinner, enjoying the large veranda. The highlight of being around the pool was a visit by a troop of monkeys one afternoon causally strolling along the fence. Gibbs Beach was a short walk and always nice and quiet. Mullins Beach although closer was a lot busier and more touristy, but the local rum punch was excellent so worth a visit just for that! Would highly recommend Tides, Lone Star and Cin Cin for dinner, and the Cliff Beach Club for lunch. Oistins Friday Fish Fry in our opinion is a night not to be missed but go open minded (we ate at Pat's place and thoroughly enjoyed it). Another must do is a catamaran trip - we used Silvermoon and had a brilliant day. Great crew, great boat, great food and drink. Swimming with the turtles was an amazing experience for the whole family. The reason we have given 4 out of 5 is purely because we felt that air conditioning would be a valuable addition to the main living area. This would allow the doors to be kept shut and hopefully the mosquitoes at bay, as we did all suffer from multiple bites whilst in the house. This would not deter us from returning to GGV in the future. Maria is an absolute star, with quick responses throughout, especially with arranging fast track security, transfers, shopping and any other queries we had. Barbados and GGV you were a delight and we had a fantastic time.
