New for 2026: Enjoy access to the exclusive Village Beach Club included with your stay!

Newly remodeled three-bedroom property separate from the rest of The Nags Head Beach Inn, The Culpepper Cottage is unique from its peers; as it comes equipped with a beautiful kitchen with microwave, oven, and full-size fridge, a dining area with seating for six, a lovely sitting area with a large, flat-screen TV, and, of course, enough comfy bedding to happily accommodate a small group looking to enjoy Nags Head in style. You will find luxury sleeping in one of the two King En Suites or the Two Full Bedroom En Suite. A washer and dryer are available inside the unit.

To top it off, also exclusive to The Culpepper Cottage, is its own entrance, allowing for privacy and comfort during your visit. Add in aspects like the soothing paint job and beautiful artwork, and this property truly is the crowning jewel of the Nags Head Beach Inn!

This historic hotel property is perfectly situated just off the beach road at milepost 10.5. All of the accommodations feature the KEES standard amenity packages including soap amenity dispensers, K-Cup Machines, cooking supplies, high-quality linens and towels and free Wi-Fi access. Centrally located in Nags Head, this property is convenient to everything that the Outer Banks has to offer while maintaining the feel of a private retreat. Take advantage of the KEES Flex-Stay system where there are no check in day restrictions or mandatory 7-night minimums. Minimum age at check-in is 21.

Guests of our home enjoy access to the exclusive Village Beach Club, a premier oceanfront retreat in the heart of Nags Head, just 4.4 miles from Nags Head Beach Inn.

This private club offers a large oceanfront pool, kiddie pool, parking, and direct beach access with showers and changing facilities, making it easy to go from sand to poolside in mere minutes. Enjoy events and activities for all ages such as kids' camps, daily live music and entertainment, a wellness and recreation program, and six brand new pickleball courts! Also new for 2026 is Gather, a coastal restaurant and bar open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It's the ideal spot to unwind for a day on the Outer Banks.

Access to the pool and beach is free. Parking passes are required for the Village Beach Club. Pricing is dynamic based on demand, with a maximum of $15 per day or $45 per week. The Village Beach Club pool is open from May 20 to October 1. The pool is open daily from 8:00am to 7:00pm with lap swimming available from 8:00am to 9:00am.

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

Overall nice place, great beach access. The 2 upstairs bedrooms stayed too hot, there a fans in each, still hot hot, the ac was great downstairs, they need to put in some kind of small ac's upstairs. The toaster does not work, there is no bleander ,bummer. If these things are addressed, i would have rated excellent fir everything. And go back to the Culpepper cottage

Charming cottage

We loved the historic charm of the Cottage. It was a perfect size for our family for a 3 night stay. Also, it is a very short walk to the ocean and very close to anything you would need.

The cottage was nice. Plenty of room for 5 adults. Great location: close to beach, restaurants, ice cream shop. Only complaint we have is that the TVs in the upstairs bedrooms didn’t have any channels.

We picked this place for its proximity to the beach and it really delivered on that. We were less than a block away and that was great! The cottage overall was spacious but didn't seem very well cleaned or maintained. The kitchen was a nice size and decently stocked and it was nice that there was a washer/dryer we could use.

Everything was good except dirty dishes and pots on arrival. They offered to send a housekeeper which we declined. We asked for extra dishwasher pods and they dropped them off for us within an hour. The house itself was clean except for some wrappers near sofa. Great location! Beach right across the street. Grocery store a couple of blocks away and several restaurants within walking distance. We had a nice stay.
Pot was in drawer. Looks like burnt beans. We cleaned it the best we could.

Our stay was enjoyable! Truthfully for what you pay you can’t beat what you get! The access to the ocean was perfect! Yes there is a lot of traffic in the area, but that is everywhere! The communication is great with the company! We didn’t have the WiFi info when arrived but they sent us the information almost immediately! As far as cleanliness, you can defiantly tell they attempted. Could maybe be a little better as far as bathrooms but again that’s just minor. Overall it was great experience!

We just returned from our stay this afternoon. We had a quick family trip of 5 people representing three groups based on our work schedules. So the layout of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was perfect. It had modern conveniences and appearance with the charm of a Nag Heads Cottage. Wish we could have stayed longer based on the convenience of the cottage. Even though it was on the "second row", it was an easy walk to the beach. Next door to great ice cream shop and very convenient getting to the main highway to travel either way.Even with the heat and humidity, the porch with a fan we brought, was a good hangout place. Would highly recommend. We would stay again.

We never received a check in code and spent an hour on the phone with someone trying to get into our unit. They lied on the phone and said the cleaning crew was still inside when that wasn’t true, as we were outside the unit trying to get in. Once inside, It looked like nobody came in to clean, just threw new towels on the bed- there was hair in the showers and yogurt bites all over the kitchen and dining room floor. The location of the unit was absolutely amazing and perfect, but very disappointed in the rest of the experience.
