For the Price check in at 4 was a bit much since we lost most the day before we had to of to a wedding function then early echo out of 10am. Allot of money for less than 2 days. But the property was very mice and well maintained and we liked it very much.Thank you

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house is lovely and we spent lots of time out on the lake on paddleboards and sitting by the fire pit. We also did a wine tour around Seneca Lake as well as a hike at Watkins Glen - both were close and easy to get to from the house. The owner was very responsive and helpful with a few questions we had before arriving. Highly recommend!

We had a nice stay. The house is conveniently located on a nice lake and you can walk down the grassy hill to get to the waterfront. The outdoor patio space is pleasant and wooded. The bed is comfortable and the living space is as well. The water does have a sulfur odor but the water seemed clean. The host was very helpful and communicated clearly as we navigated questions.

This property was not as advertised, in several significant ways and i will cover just few of them.The "second half bathroom" is in the basement, separated only by curtains — not what any reasonable guest would consider a functional bathroom. And while the home is advertised as "lakefront with private dock," it actually sits about 200 yards from the water, across a road with dock in between two other properties that are actually lakefront houses. "Near the lake" would be accurate; "lakefront" is not.The kitchen appears untouched for decades, and the cookware was so worn it was effectively unusable. The property was also not clean upon arrival.Communication with the owner was another disappointment. When we reported the cleanliness issues, the entire response was "I am sorry" — no offer to fix anything. When I mentioned the propane tank for the grill was empty, the owner suggested I go refill it myself.I've used VRBO many times, and this was by far my worst experience. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property. Guests should be aware that the listing does not accurately represent what they will find.

Great location, bright home!

Great location close to Watkins Glenn Park as well as a reasonable drive to the Corning glass museum. Beautiful view of the lake. A great outdoor deck area and multitiered outdoor areas that were fun for both my boys and our English Bulldog! It was a little too cold to take advantage of the paddle boards, kayaks and canoes, but a very cool amenity for warmer weather! Our host was very responsive and kind. The house met our needs.

Thoughtful owners

The home is clean, well equipped and centrally located. We enjoyed using the kayak, paddle board in canoe. The AC kept us comfortable in high heat. Everything was clean. Visitors to the house should know that it is probably not friendly for those with young children or elderly. The bathtub was difficult for my husband with achey knees to get in and out of, and was not comfortable to stand in. They have a water cooler to get drinking water from but the water has an extremely strong sulfur smell. In the words of my teenager, “I feel like I’m showering in fart spray.” It is harmless but stinky. There is plenty of nice outdoor space but the entry deck has a massively warped deck with boards crooked and elevated. We were paying close attention as we walked but I tripped one evening on a section that I hadn’t noticed was warped, smashed my hand into the deck and spent my vacation with a swollen, bruised hand. I think this is an issue that should be addressed asap. I did not communicate this with the owner because there is no quick fix and I wanted to vacation, not track down someone to complain. Overall, we appreciated the cleanliness, thoughtful stocking of necessities, and central location to waterfalls, parks, Corning Glass Museum.

We had a great time during our stay. The house and property are gorgeous - we took full advantage of canoeing each morning and swimming off the dock. The property is super local to lots of hiking trails, close to the wine trail, and overall a great stay for our little family (including the dog!)
