Aislado Seneca Lake Cottage con vistas al lago

Una cabaña rústica de temporada que era una cabaña de caza de principios de 1900 rodeada de bosques y vistas al lago.
Hay múltiples ventanas y puertas de vidrio que te dan la sensación de que eres uno con tu entorno.

Hay un segundo porche para dormir para aquellos que quieren estar "en pleine air" día y noche. Hay una playa de más de 385 pies que se comparte con Lake House, pero nadie más. No hay vecinos al norte y solo uno al sur de la playa.

Hay 2 canoas, 2 kayaks, 1 bote de remos, hamaca, sillas de jardín, fogata y muelle. Puede pescar en el muelle, pero necesita una licencia de pesca.

We had a great stay in the cottage. The views were beautiful and the location was close to Watkins Glen and wineries while still feeling quite and secluded. Michele was very communicative. She let us know the cabin didnt have central heat but the heaters she provided kept us warm. My husband, our dog and I had a wonderful time.

Loved how secluded it was. Loved the rustic in the woods stay. Sitting on the decks just listening to the waves and nature. There was only a few boats to go bye the whole time we were ther so we didn't have any noise.

Incredible views of the lake. Comfortable beds. Check in was easy. Kitchen was basic but had what we needed. Decks were a great hangout place to enjoy the view. Many stairs to the dock but worth it! Enjoyed the canoes and kayaks and swimming.

Beautiful location with amazing views

The property has two amazing decks with the most beautiful views of the lake. It is built on a hillside so there are many stairs down to the private beach and dock but totally worth it. There was a heatwave while we were there and the air conditioning wasn’t hooked up. I reached out to the owner and after several attempts I located everything for the portable ACs and hooked them up. Unfortunate that I had to do this but it was better than suffering through the 100 degree heat. Michele was very responsive and apologetic over the situation.

A room with a view

This off the beaten path rustic cabin is perfect for a small family. Simply Getting to it felt like an adventure. Tucked out of the way and felt very private. The views are stunning and cannot be beat. The cabin itself is older but very comfortable. Part of its charm we thought. It could use a few updates but it was clean. A note to those with mobility issues: steps getting to the second floor is a very tight spiral staircase, almost a ladder and not suitable for young children either. Additionally the walk from the parking area to the cabin itself is quite steep and with several sets of stairs as well. Overall we had a lovely experience. The owner was communicative and helpful when we had an emergency. We look forward to returning in the future

Wonderful Place !!

My husband and I wanted a secluded waterfront experience along with our Lab. I am so glad I found this listing. The cottage is nestled on a hill overlooking the lake. The view of the lake is beautiful . The covered decks let you sit outside in any weather. I loved watching the sunrise in the morning. The cottage was very comfortable. Michele had plenty of space heaters and blankets . If you are looking for a comfortable lake cottage with amazing views, this is your place. Thanks Michele!!

The house was nice but very musty smelling. I've stayed in other lakefront cottages that didn’t have odor issues.

Rustic Cabin with an Awesome View

We had a wonderful stay at this rustic cabin overlooking the lake. We spent almost all of our time on one of the two spacious decks. Beautiful sunrises and moon rises. Very peaceful. The decks were covered, so still fine in the rain. There were 2 of us and it was very comfortable....6 would be VERY cozy! The water "toys" were all in good shape and easy to use. As well, there were nice adirondeck chairs for around the fire pit lakeside. It was a secluded but very convenient location.....a quick drive into Watkins Glen as well as the local wineries, distilleries and breweries (and of course the creamery around the corner) The cabin was comfortable and equipped with what we needed (yet we did not cook at the cabin). We did read the reviews and were very aware of the steep walk from the parking down to the cabin and then the many steps down to the water. Also the need for a good handling car to get from the parking area up the steep driveway. I moved my car into AWD to get out. The host was very easy to communicate with and we had no problems while we were there. We will go back again and recommend to others. It is perfect if you know what you are getting.

Cozy lake cabin

Everything was awesome. The views and the quiet. The moonlight off the lake. My only note is it is not for someone older in life or handicapped. The land is steep; but that is also part of its charm.

Great Location Cluttered Cabin

We loved the location and having lake access. We didn't love the air conditioners that always turned off because of the humidity. Cabin was cluttered which caused parts to be dirty. No curtains on the windows.

Exactly what we wanted

This rental is exactly as described. Tucked away in the trees with a beautiful view of the lake. Everything you need to relax is provided, and whays not your told to bring. Read the rental description, lots of stairs to the beach but totally worth it. The driveway is kind of steep, but maintained well. We will definitely be back. Owners were pleasant and easy to communicate with.

The most relaxing getaway!

My husband booked this rental for me because of the view, which is amazing. I sat on the living level deck from at least 6:30 am to 10 or 11 am through rain and through sunshine. My son, who also needed a break, sat on the top deck and just relaxed. The recreational items at the beach were perfect for us. Beds were comfy and we all slept very well. We're already looking to rebook when we can.

Spectacular view!

The Cottage was the perfect place for family members to stay during our recent get-together. It was within short walking distance from the Lake House, where other family members were staying. In turn, the Lake House guests enjoyed walking down to the Cottage and shoreline to play and splash around in the Lake. The view of Seneca Lake from the Cottage decks is breathtaking!

Recent Stay

The property is tucked away and nestled directly on the lake which was the selling point for us. Every evening we sat on the dock and enjoyed the view. There are so many things to do within minutes of the property.

Cute Little Cabin

Great weekend retreat. We loved the secluded area, and the lake access was great! The stairs to the lake are very long, however we didn't mind it too much. Our dogs loved the place. I would consider renting the cabin again.

Perfect cottage on Lake Seneca

Wonderful home with basic accommodations you need for a family. Amazing decks that are covered. Unbelievable lake access with dock fire pits great Adirondack chairs and multiple canoes kayaks paddle board and peddle boat. Host is extremely nice and is easy to connect with.

I moved to the area in1987 after growing up in the inner city. I fell in love with the quiet and beauty of Seneca Lake. The tranquility revives me within minutes of being on the lake. I don't get to the Lake as often as I would like but it gives me great pleasure to share the experience with others.

There are minimal modern conveniences and distractions in the cottage but instead, beautiful surroundings and wildlife. If this is what you are looking for, this is the place for you.

Privacy, nature, wonderful sunrise and view . Beach has a dock and extensive seating w/ shaded area. Canoes, kayaks and paddle boat available for guests. Great for swimming and fishing.
