MAUI is PARADISE at Kihei Alii Kai C307 - Quiet side of complex.

Welcome to Maui and our beautifully tropical décor 1 bedroom, 3rd floor condo – C307 in Kihei Alii Kai. We are in the upper building on the "quiet side of the complex", close to the parking lot and elevator access. The grounds are beautiful tropical fauna.

We boast a very large Lanai with a beautiful quiet view as we are on a private road with off street parking and elevator to the 3rd floor.

Upgraded kitchen with all amenities, Queen size bed with closet and dresser space, ceiling fan to help cool the bedroom. Living room has wonderful trade winds when you open the lanai door, but there is also A/C if needed, and a ceiling fan. Washer and dryer are inside the condo. Bathroom has an updated walk in Shower for your pleasure. Hair dryer and large mirror.

Start your morning on the lanai with Maui coffee or a short walk to the local bakery for a fresh cinnamon roll, or one of the several coffee shops, then off to the beautiful KAM1 beach. There are beach chairs, mats, and beach towels for your personal use. There are so many other activities on Maui, just ask and I will help you plan some fun activities or places to see.

We have a 50" HDTV, games, cards, books, DVD player and more if you choose to spend time inside. Free secure WiFi with easy access while sitting on the lanai.

Our complex has a beautiful pool, jacuzzi, and sauna with locked access just a short walk from our condo. There is a BBQ, outdoor eating area plus a pickleball/tennis court just steps from our condo. There is also another BBQ and seating down by the pool. The parking garage is very well lit at night, and we have security cameras around the complex.

Our wonderful KAM 1 beach is just a very short walk down our road for sunbathing and snorkeling and during whale season, you may see them out playing. There are also coffee shops, restaurants, clothing, art, jewelry, grocery shopping, massage, Boss Frog rental, and many other fine facilities just steps from our complex.

Loved the area and proximity to the beach, shops, restaurants etc A little laid back vibe which is great for Maui. The amenities at the condo were great. The hosts were great to communicate with and provided all kinds of information about touring Maui Would definitely stay again!

Relaxing and comfort,

My wife and I have visited Kihei a number of times and are so lucky to have found accommodation that was really so accommodating . From the actual property to the very helpful host everything was perfect. Great location minutes from the beach, near convenient shopping and restaurants.

We enjoyed the convenient location of this condo. A block from a beautiful beach, easy to travel out of town to other island places. Clean, with everything g we needed to have a wonderful vacation. We loved the beach chairs and beach umbrella! Highly recommended.

Great Place To Stay

Thank you, Elaine and Don, for the use of your lovely condo. We had a wonderful stay and felt very at home. The location was ideal. It was just a short jaunt to the beach and it was close to restaurants and shops. We had everything we needed. Thanks, Elaine, for your prompt attention to the few things we required. Wonderful stay in Kihei

We love Kihei and visit at least every other year! We were very happy with our stay at Don and Elaine's place! It was perfectly located to all of our favorite places! It had all the amenities that we needed - including beach chairs and an umbrella (things we normally would need to rent). The accommodations were great, and the kitchen was spacious. We were careful not to use the air-conditioning much (since we knew it was expensive), but that made it rather warm at times. We would definitely recommend this place!

A beautiful getaway

What a lovely stay. 10/10 would return. Clean, beautifully designed interior made the stay very enjoyable. The toy box was our favorite as we got to use the boogie boards, chairs and snorkel equipment. The bed was comfortable and so was the pullout bed. Only downside is that AC takes a moment to cool the bedroom so we used the pullout bed the first night we got in. Location is a short walk to the best sunset spot on the island. Loved staying in Kihei! A great central point to everything. Elaine’s suggestions made the trip more enjoyable. Thank you for everything!

Maui Paradise

We loved our stay at the Kihei Alli Kai Condo complex. The condo is so clean and quiet and so convenient. It is a 5 minute walk to one of the best beaches in Kihei, Kamoale I and it is just a bit further to walk to II and III for snorkeling. There are also lots of shops and restaurants that you can walk to from the condo. The condo had a great selection of beach gear for our use-chairs, snorkel gear (we brought our own thought), umbrellas and boogie boards. Our teenage son loved using the boogie boards at the beach in the afternoon. The pool was heated and we went for a swim in the pool and jacuzzi every night. And the sofabed in the living room was very comfortable and the lanai was perfect for bird watching.

Very nice

Unit was comfortable, well equipped and close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Parking was easy because this unit is located near the rear of the building close to the guest parking. Unfortunately, the mattress is old and sinks in the middle so we really did not sleep well. We kept rolling into each other! I also bought myself a fluffy pillow because the pillows were too flat for me. We plan to stay at Kihei Ali'i Kai again but will probably try another unit.

Great place to stay in Maui

Great affordable place to stay in Maui. The living area was large. It was nice having everything we needed in kitchen. And also having washer and dryer. We wished we would have packed half the clothes we brought and just did laundry more. Awesome location to access anywhere in island easily. Just a short walk to yummy restaurants and food trucks and the beach. It was also amazing to have beach chairs and umbrellas. We used them everyday. We thought the bed and pillows were comfortable. The apartment was clean and we felt safe there. Only downside we found was the bedroom was far from the air conditioner so it was the hottest room in condo. But it did cool off eventually. Also the community hot tub wasn’t open and we were looking forward to that (but the condo owners can’t control when the community is doing maintenance on a community aspect, just be aware if part of why you’re renting is the pool/hot tub it could be closed your stay and you won’t know until arrival). Overall would stay again and recommended others to do so also.

Noisy bedroom

The bedroom headboard is next to a window that is on a walkway that many people use since this unit is close to the elevator. Their voices are very loud in the bedroom even when these people talk normally. Parents calling after their kids is worst. And of course there is little privacy. This host is terrible at communications. It took several e-mails and two phone calls on the 2 days before our arrival to finally get the lock box number. Her 4-page contract (which you have to sign) says she will send that information 2-weeks before arrival. She did not do that. She also charges the credit card fees so be sure to add that $35 to you total cost. There are many good places to stay in this area of Kihei. We will not be coming back to this place.

Great place

I was a little hesitant to rent a condo since I wanted some more private place, but it turned out pretty well. I guess because of Covid there weren't many people around and the building was very quiet. I liked the apartment and lanai, everything was nice and clean except the kitchen countertop was covered with brown dust, but it's ok, no big deal, and no shampoo or body wash in the bathroom. This place has a beautiful swimming pool and hot tub, and even a sauna! Just what we needed after long hike since the hot water was kind of limited after 7 pm or just the heater was off? So we had all those just for ourselves, no one else was using a pool at this time. One more thing, when you come to Hawaii you kind of expect (or am I spoiled?) that you would be greeted with bottle of cold water and/or some local fruits? That what we got in other places we have visited. But knowing the host doesn't live on premises it is understandable. The other thing we didn't know when we came at night that building C is at the end of the road and has its own big parking lot, so we spent some time looking for the right place.

Great place in a wonderful location

Elaine and Don were a pleasure to work with. Their condo was very nice and we feel lucky to have been able to stay there. It’s located in a great spot, with easy access to the parking lot, pool and sauna. Check in process was a breeze - Elaine sent an email that contained everything we would need to know. One of our favorite things about the apartment - no need to carry an additional key with you. There’s a door code you can use to lock and unlock the deadbolt, which we appreciated so much as we were often in our swim attire with little or no pockets for extra keys. Lots of amenities in the complex and Elaine and Dons apartment. We loved the fully stocked kitchen and found ourselves at Foodland quite often getting groceries for some of our meals. Just a short walk to Kam I or II with the beach chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear and sand mats provided by Elaine and Don made for easy and relaxing beach days for us. Two small things I didn’t find, and potentially overlooked; a cooler and a beach bag. Outside of that, we had everything we needed in the condo, leaving us plenty of room in our suitcases for gifts for the kiddos. We were able to pack lighter too thanks to the in-unit washer and dryer. We found ourselves using the drying rack on the lanai to air dry our towels and swimsuits after a day at the beach. Check out process was just as smooth - leave the place just as good if not better than you found it and hit the lock button on the door on your way out.

Just be aware hosts can charge you and keep your money

Excited to go to Maui..booked for 10 nights had to change my booking to 9 nights did it within hosts time frame for a refund have a credit for $250 for Friday night during memorial weekend. Owner said to wait 14 days after check out to check with housekeeping basically you clean everything towels sheets dishes. Left it clean. Password is written down wrong for Internet, kitchen faucet does not have weight under it to hold hand held piece of faucet in place, shelf has a crack in it on right side door of fridge, and big hole under sink. They must of had a leak and never sheet rocked or hot mud it. 12 days after my stay I asked owner where my $250 they said they had to wait for housekeeping to give it back. I said this is not right. We could go to court over this then they said they owned their condo for 20 years I said how many deposits have you kept in 20 years and they went straight to leaving me a review I said are you crazy you want me to leave you an all 1 star review. I asked them 15 days later why they where keeping my $250 no reply and they charged my account additional $46.15 for fees. shady owners. If you expect money back or change your reservation in their time frame don't expect it back....

WONDERFUL TIME SPENT IN A CLEAN LOCATION

First of all, I would like to thank Elaine for being ever so helpful with a concerned solo traveler. She was more than gracious in assisting me with ideas of how to plan my itinerary. Elaine, I sincerely thank you for all of your assistance. The description of the location was accurate and concise. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner was more than helpful. I would recommend this location to those that are looking for a place that is central to the island. It may not be in the touristy area, but it was in the middle of the island and I was able to make it to all of the areas that I wanted to visit with minimal fuss or any traffic(that includes the weekend). Elaine has a binder with the local restarants within walking or (if needed)driving distance. BEFORE you go out shopping for groceries read the tips that she has prepared in the binder. I will admit that I over-packed on this trip because I was not sure as to what amenities were available. (DUH! I should have read the AMENITIES part!) I believe I read one of the reviews that had concerns about the light coming in the bedroom window. I did not have a problem with the light. Most of the time I awoke prior to sunrise. (Tip: If you are from the East Coast and wish to see the sunrise on Hakeakala, do it on the first morning there, you WILL wake up early enough to see the sunrise - I woke at 2am. I wanted to see the stars (I have some GREAT photos of the stars and the sunrise). Take a trip to Maui's Winery - a little out of the way, BUT they have a refreshing pineapple wine (Hula O'Maui rated 90 points 2012) and a raspberry Framboise sinfully rich and perfect with ANYTHING chocolate. There are two beaches that are few minutes away from the location that are clean and have restrooms. (The beaches seem to have a lot more people at sunset) Again, I would like to say "thank you" to Elaine for her assistance in the planning of this "bucket list" trip. I will be back. Mahalo!

I was raised in Oregon and made my first trip to the islands in 1967. I immediately fell in love with Maui and after many more trips knew I would one day have a 'second home' on Maui, which happened on one of my trips in 1999! I got married on the beach in front of Mama's Fish House in 2005 and come over every year to enjoy and update my condo. I manage all bookings personally and love talking to my future and especially returning guests. I have made many friends over the years and they 'welcome me home' each time I arrive. This is truly my 'second family'.
MAUI IS MY HAPPY PLACE!

Why they chose this property

I was visiting with friends in 1999 when I started looking for condos and fell in love with C-307 at Kihei Alii Kai. While boarding the airplane to come home, I received a call that the owners accepted my offer and I was going to own 'my condo in paradise'. I have traveled to many places and the people in Hawaii are by far the warmest, most friendly, loving, people I know. I make new friends on every trip.

What makes this property unique

I love sitting on the lanai, it is very large, nicely furnished and so quiet and peaceful with a lovely view. Since the BBQ is on the same level and steps from the condo, you can enjoy dinner on the Lanai even though there are many wonderful restaurants close by. KAM I beach is just a very short walk, about 150 feet from the condo and so beautiful for walking, snorkeling, swimming, and sunbathing. In the evening, we enjoy watching the Sunset and then going to the Jacuzzi and meeting new friends. There is also the Maui bus you can hop a ride on or check on the many activities that Kihei has to offer.
