This space is a nice stay in Calgary and, for the budget price we got it at a solid value for money. Check in and check out were smooth and easy, and the host was attentive and communicative. You know it was clean, and all the various policies and everything is all very clearly posted. The whole experience was very turnkey. There were a few things that could be improved. The very large television in the very small kitchen area is an odd choice, and it was a little bit difficult to use due to what I think was probably a bad network connection. But the apartment also does not have a good space to sit or gather in it. The absence of a living room or similar area means that you're going to spend time either lounging on a bed in one of the bedrooms, or sitting in the uncomfortable dining room furniture trying to watch the comically large television. It's perfectly reasonable if your goal is to have a place to sleep and you're spending your day in the city somewhere else, but it isn't in and of itself a pleasant place to spend a lot of time. I think this could be fairly easily remedied; both of the bedrooms are large enough to accommodate sitting chairs or a side table or something else that could make them pleasant places to sit.Finally, the listing description says that it's the entire house. The listing is actually only for a basement apartment. The photos they've attached make that pretty clear, but I wouldn't want anybody else thinking they're getting the entire property.
