Welcome to stunningly beautiful and Brand New Sandpiper Shanty on Chincoteague Island, located in the very heart of our Little Island by the Sea! This amazing Custom Home was just completed in August 2025, and is the sister house to ever-popular Seahorse Shanty, almost right next door! And if you can believe it, it is every bit as gorgeous, and also welcomes your well-trained dog (2 max) at no additional cost - because hey, dogs are family, too! And its great mid-Island location means you’re less than 10 minutes from Assateague National Seashore, where our famous Wild Ponies roam free!

As you enter Sandpiper Shanty, you’ll be swept away by the Colors of Sand and Sea, beachy flooring reminiscent of a stroll on a rustic boardwalk, and its gorgeous decor. Kick off your Flip Flops and let the fun begin….

The spacious Living Area is perfect for kicking back after a fun-filled day at the Beach and enjoying Free WiFi and Flat Screen Smart TV. With comfy seating for all, it’s a wonderful place to gather and share stories of the day’s adventures. There’s even a cozy Fireplace for those chilly Off-Season Stays - one of our favorite times here on Chincoteague! Adorned in high-end furnishings and tons of original art, it encompasses everything we love about our Island.

Just off the Living Area is the Well-Stocked Kitchen and Dining Area, both of which will thrill the Chef in your family! With Stainless Appliances, Quartz Countertops, and a HUGE Center Island with lots of seating, it truly is a dream Kitchen. Dine in the comfort of Central AC in the Dining Area, or on the Screened Porch, surrounded by Shade Trees, and take in that salty, sweet sea breeze. And ahhh, you can almost hear the breeze rustling the tall Pines, can’t you?

Sandpiper Shanty is perfect for a large family, or 2 families to share, and sleeps 10 in pure comfort and style. The Primary Bedroom is located on the 1st Floor,and is dressed in serene Coastal Colors and a Sandpiper Theme, sure to bring a restful night’s sleep. With a Walk-in Closet, Flat Screen TV, and Attached Full Bath, it’s made for sweet dreams. In the Attached Full Bath, you’ll find a gorgeous Double Vanity and Walk-in Shower. Also on the 1st Floor is a Half Bath, which is convenient to the Living Area and Kitchen.

Wandering upstairs, you’ll find 2 more Bedrooms, plus a Bonus Bunk Room. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are decked out with comfy Queen Beds, beautiful Bedding, and Flat Screen Smart TVs. The Bunk Room will thrill the kids with 2 sets of Twin Bunkbeds (sleeping 4 total) and huge Barn Doors. Another Full Bath with Tub/Shower Combo is upstairs and convenient to all Bedrooms.
All of this, and only a few miles from the Beach! Whether you enjoy fishing, shell-combing, or searching for ponies, Assateague has something for everyone, and is hands down one of the most stunning, natural beaches in America - no boardwalks, no shops, just Mother Nature at her finest.

Owner has exterior security camera. Friendly Dogs welcome at no additional fee and must be approved in advance - 2 max., and current on Vaccinations and Flea/Tick Preventative.
