Beautiful SECLUDED cabin!! We’re blessed to have been able to celebrate our anniversary for some much appreciated rest and relaxation. The cabin is well stocked and easily allows for home away from home! Clean, electric fireplace and thoughtful host are only the tip of the long list of perks here. While there enjoyed the locals hospitality while visiting the Daniel Boone National Forrest Visitor center, the Brick Ice Cream & Coffee, and the Turtlecreek Hamdmade Pottery. Hiking is right up the bend for a wonderful nature experience. Will definitely be back!
Cabin was very cozy and a comfortable place to hang out at the end of the day. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything you would need to prepare food. Great indoor and outdoor spaces to relax. Firewood provided. Great stay. Be prepared to enjoy the scenery as you wind up amd down the hills to the cabin. Great drive to enjoy the view of the beauty Eastern Kentucky has to offer.
Communication from the host was phenomenal. The cabin was very clean, nicely decorated and very secluded and quiet. Perfect little cabin for a weekend getaway to get away from it all. We were less than 30 mins from Natural Bridge Rd in Slade which is where our event was located for the weekend. Beautiful scenery and all the nature that you could want. Note that it’s located on a one lane rd and passing other cars/trucks can be challenging in spots because there are several places along the rd that you cannot drop off on either side to pass. I’ve saved this cabin in my favorites for future visits and would highly recommend it to others.
The cabin was very cute, clean and well stocked, as advertised. We felt that we had privacy and the owner was quick to check in with us to make sure we were satisfied. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
I had rented this cabin for two nights, shortly after arriving, I was already reaching out to try and stay a third night. The host was great, the cabin was perfect. I will definitely be staying here again.
Beautiful property, cabin has everything you need. Erica is a very gracious host, ready to help at anytime with questions. If you’re seeking solitude and quiet, this is a great place to get that!

Thank you Karen so much!!! We hope you’ll visit again!!
Loved the cabin! Beautifully decorated and had everything needed. Secluded and close to nature. Really loved the personal touches of popcorn and s’mores! Easy check in and check out. Had a great time unwinding!
Cabin was beautifully decorated and very clean. It was wonderfully peaceful and secluded. The only sounds to listen to were the birds singing and the bull frogs croaking in the small pond down the hill from the cabin. A great place to get away from everything.
My daughter and I stayed at this very clean and super cute property while visiting RRG. It was such a peaceful setting and had everything you need to feel right at home. The cabin is off the beaten path, which is something we were looking for, so prepare to drive a bit if you are planning on visiting Natural Bridge and the other local attractions. We had a great stay and hope to return!
We stayed four nights at this cabin in the Red River Gorge area. The pictures accurately depict the property and the host was helpful with anything we needed. The cabin was well equipped and decorated nicely. Pick up groceries before your arrival as the winding roads make for a longer trip to the store.
We had a lovely time in the cabin! It was cute, clean, and well-maintained. Our host was friendly and responsive to any questions we had. It’s tucked in the woods, away from distractions, but includes reliable wi-fi and streaming options. There’s a fire pit as well. It was the perfect mix of relaxing with the technology to do a little work if you are so inclined!
If VRBO has a superhost designation, these folks should get it! The cabin is gorgeous, and looked exactly like the photos. There were enough amenities and kind touches that I felt like we were in a spa. The surrounding land is lovely, and fun to explore. Our kids loved the loft with its ping pong table and beds. The hosts were extremely responsive and answered all questions immediately. I would highly recommend this cabin and these hosts!

Thank you so much for your kind words!! We enjoyed having your sweet family stay at The Willow!! I hope you’ll visit again soon!!
This cabin is a retreat! Hammocks in the trees and on the porch... so peaceful! It is secluded, so nowhere is quick to get to, so plan accordingly! Lots of things to do & eat, but lots of things are closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, so check that out ahead of time. The owners are super quick to respond to any questions, so helpful. We would definitely stay again!
We had a great weekend at Red River Gorge. This was the perfect spot for me and my 2 kids. We had never been here before so did not know what to expect. We got a little confused about the directions but our host was very quick to respond and helped us get there safely.
The cabin itself was clean, scenic and comfortable. Only about a 25 minute drive to the state park and attractions.
Games and ping pong table were an added bonus for the kids. I HIGHLY recommend staying here. 👍👍
This place was absolutely AMAZING! This was our first stay ever in Kentucky and Erica set the bar high... If you are looking for a quiet secluded place to stay and just get away, this is it! There was no traffic, we sat on the front porch in the morning drinking our coffee and had a deer grazing right in front of us the whole time. The cabin itself is IMMACULATE...so clean and the sweet little touches just add to it. We went kayaking at Red River Gorge while we were there and its maybe a 30 min drive from the cabin. Overall just an awesome weekend getaway! Thank you Erica for the hospitality!!!

Thank you so much for you kind words!!! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay, come back and visit anytime!!! 😊
We had a great time staying at the cabin! Everything was clean, well stocked, and so cute. Erica was a wonderful communicator and responded very quickly with any questions we had. The cabin is quite isolated, so it was very peaceful and a chance to connect with nature. The only downside was the drive there - so many miles of curvy, rolling hills to get to Red River Gorge and back. It took much longer to get to Red River Gorge than we expected (almost an hour), which ended up limiting our hiking time. Other than that it was a great trip!

Thank you so much for your kind words, I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay!! My only regret is I wish you had mentioned your concern with the drive, it seems as though GPS/Google Maps is having issues with sending some of my guests on “wild goose chases”, the actual drive from the cabin to the RRG should only be about 20 minutes. I believe the confusion is there are multiple, multiple ways of coming to and from and for some reason In the past couple of weeks the longer routes seem to be the ones given. I apologize. I have taken note of your response and I’m updating directions for future guest. Come back and see us anytime!!
About the host
Hosted by Erica Jones
Hi!! My name is Erica Jones. I am a mother, a wife and a small catering business owner. My passions in life include my family, the outdoors and cooking (of course). Having the luxury of being able to call the Red River Gorge my home is one of my favorite blessings. That’s why I love having the opportunity to share this little piece of heaven with you as my guest.
Why they chose this property
Why this property?? Why not!? This property has everything (in my opinion). Seclusion. The world we live in today is scary and uncertain, at The Willow, it’s as if the worries of the world are far away!! Comfort. I try my best to make our home as comfortable and inviting as I can. Here you are welcome, here you can relax!
What makes this property unique
Although The Willow is off of the beaten path, we’re still not far from local attractions. We are pretty much smack dab in the middle of several local attractions such as Red River Gorge (home of some of the best hiking around), Natural Bridge State Park, Kentucky Dragway ( featured on Street Outlaws), and Hollerwood ATV park. Here for a wedding? The Willow is 10 miles from the popular Events by Jenny Lea wedding barns and venues.
