Amazing cabin and location! All the amenities were perfect and exactly as described, and it was an awesome place for a weekend exploring Ely and nearby hiking!We would definitely book it again in the future!

Booked for a snowmobile/snowboarding trip. The location is perfect to access the snowmobile trails and 30 minutes to Giants Ridge. The house is set up perfectly for families and the sauna is great! I would definitely book again!!

This cabin was large enough for 8 adults to sleep. Lots of extra blankets available. AC is not throughout the cabin, only in the living room, so the Bedrooms were a little warm. One bedroom had a ceiling fan and other fans were provided, which helped. Basement space is unfinished but still decent. Kitchen could have been a little better equipped with more utensils for cooking and containers for food storage but there were plenty of pots and pans and two refrigerators! The lake access from the dock is VERY tricky. Very shallow and rocky. Need a spotter to help navigate. Nice fire pit and plenty of camping chairs available. Overall very good stay. We might stay again if it was a little cheaper, but I will shop around more first. 2200 for 3 nights is kinda crazy.

Cabin was great, lake access was horrible. Rock filled river, with no communication from owners. Needless to say our weekend was cut short. Dark water, no markings, no communication. Hole in pontoon.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the cabin itself, though we’re sorry to hear the lake access experience impacted your stay. There is a map provided both in the cabin and in the guest handbook prior to check-in that outlines the recommended boating path and identifies shallow and rocky areas near the access point. We understand lake navigation can still be challenging depending on current water conditions, and we appreciate the feedback. To help future guests, we will make the map and navigation details even more prominent in our guest materials moving forward.

Pros: Impeccably clean, well appointed kitchen. Comfy living room, deck with a view of the channel. Sauna works well and is very relaxing. Washer and dryer work well. Comfortable beds and bedding. When we ran out of bottled water, the property managment company brought more within 48 hours. The lawn and other outside areas are well maintained, and the dock is safe and pretty.The Roku TVs are a nice plus.Cons: The cabin is not on Lake Vermilion proper. It's on the very shallow channel leading to the lake, but getting to the lake, even on the included pedal boat, requires navigating rocks. Despite the sign in the photos with an arrow saying "go jump in the lake," the very first instruction upon arrival is to NOT jump in the lake because you'll hurt yourself. The "den" with extra beds is not really a den, it's a mostly unfinished daylight basement/shop with a concrete floor. The property is reasonably well maintained but mostly because of plywood covering up what used to be a bathtub upstairs. A lot of unfinished stuff downstairs in the "den", including heat/water/etc. and exposed pipes, as well as florescent lights.

Cabin was clean with plenty of room. Internet was good and host was great at communicating. Channel is a bit difficult to navigate but once you understand it, it’s not bad just make sure you follow the map. Highly recommended Cliffs guide service if you’re not familiar with the lake or channel. Fishing was tough due to weather but you can expect perfect conditions all of the time. Even through may fly hatch, 20mph winds, and cold/rain we were still able to put fish in the boat.
