Irma`s Place—A Historic Garden Cottage

This character-filled cottage pairs heritage charm with a relaxed, homely feel. From the moment you arrive, the traditional façade, white picket fence and verandah set a welcoming tone, leading into interiors that balance period details with contemporary styling. High ceilings, soft lighting and carefully chosen furnishings create an easy sense of comfort throughout.

Inside, two separate living areas offer flexibility for your stay. The main living room invites you to settle in on the generous sofa, perfect for evenings with a film or quiet downtime, while heating and cooling ensure year-round comfort. A second sitting room provides a more peaceful retreat—ideal for reading, enjoying a coffee, or simply disconnecting from the day. A sofa bed is available for two additional guests.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed to cook with ease, from a gas cooktop and oven to a Nespresso machine for slow mornings. Gather around the dining table for meals together, or open the space out toward the backyard for a more relaxed indoor-outdoor flow. Step outside to a private, leafy backyard where an undercover patio creates an inviting setting for long lunches or evening barbecues. Surrounded by greenery, it’s a quiet spot to unwind after a day in the city.

Each of the three bedrooms is designed as a calm retreat, with king beds, pedestal fans, soft linens, and blockout blinds supporting a restful night’s sleep. Built-in wardrobes and thoughtful storage make longer stays feel effortless. The bathroom includes a shower over bath and practical storage, while a separate toilet and dedicated laundry with washer and dryer add everyday convenience.

Additional features include WiFi, keyless entry for seamless access, split-system heating and cooling in the living area and kitchen, and off-street parking suited to smaller vehicles only. Any damage to vehicles or our fencing will be the responsibility of the guest. There may be street parking available.

A portacot and high chair are available to hire for a fee. Should you require them, please let us know upon booking.

Please treat the our home as if it were your own. Kindly leave the property in a tidy condition upon departure. Unexpected additional cleaning cost will be forwarded to you.

$200AUD cleaning/deodorising fee charged if guest is found to have been smoking in the property.

CHECK OUT: Check out strictly at 10AM. Additional charges will be incurred for our cleaners time if not vacant upon their arrival. We charge $30AUD for the first 30 minutes, and $60AUD for every 30-minutes after this.

LOST KEYS/LOCKOUTS: Please keep the property key with you all the time during your stay. Lost key/emergency key delivery charges will be $180AUD plus key replacement fee or cost of a locksmith.

LOST PROPERTY: For any items left behind - the host will hold the item for a maximum of 30 days from check-out date after which time they will be considered abandoned and disposed of or donated. During the 30 day collection period, collection can be arranged by way of the guest providing a prepaid postage bag to a supplied address or the item can be collected in person at an agreed time and location.
