It is a lovely bach and great location. There were a few issues that needed resolving. 1) It didn't have the bbq that was advertised which was disappointing, however the Waiheke Pure company did find one when I contacted them. It was functional.2) the cutlery is minimal. We had 3 staying , so the bach only had 3 knives for eating. Again I contacted Waiheke Pure and they brought round some more knives and forks which made eating much more enjoyable.3) the bach has a washing machine which is great. However to dry clothes on the clothesline there were no pegs. Again I contacted Waiheke Pure and they brought some round.4) one of the lights above the sink had been broken before we arrived. The bulb and part of the broken fitting had been removed and put in a cupboard. The issue was that the broken bulb holder, still attached to the wooden beam above the sink area, had not been replaced and so this exposed a live wire - very dangerous and not appropriate in a rental. We contacted Waiheke Pure who arranged for an electrician to come and mend the broken light fitting. He arrived after 2 days and was very efficient. He told me that it had been very dangerous to leave the fitting exposed live.5) the 'leaving instructions' told me to 'stack any dirty plates and utensils in the dishwasher'. However the bach doesn't have a dishwasher, so I'd recommend removing that from the instructions.6) the outside did not have a table for eating for 3 people. I contacted Waiheke pure
Stayed 8 nights in Jan 2026
