The Space:

Welcome to Vista Azul, a comfortable and modern beachfront studio in the Playa Azul community of Luquillo, Puerto Rico. This airy and thoughtfully designed space is perfect for a peaceful getaway by the ocean, offering everything you need for a relaxing and connected stay.



The studio features a king-size bed, a comfortable sofa, a dining area with ocean views, high-speed internet, and a dedicated work desk. The space combines soft coastal colors, light wood tones, and simple modern décor for a calm beach retreat. One unassigned parking space is included for your convenience.



Guests enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of Playa Azul with great amenities like direct beach access, a large swimming pool, basketball and tennis courts, and a children’s play area.

Located just 15 minutes from El Yunque Rainforest, and close to local beaches, Luquillo’s famous kioskos, and plenty of great restaurants, Vista Azul offers the perfect base for exploring or simply unwinding by the sea.



IMPORTANT: The condominium Playa Azul 3 will be undergoing general refurbishment and construction works starting on March 1st, 2026, and it does not have an end date for now. While this will not impact the apartment directly, there may be noise associated to the works, such as drilling and hammering. Please take this note in consideration before booking.

Vista Azul is all about simple, comfortable beach living. Enjoy slow mornings, walks on the sand, and cozy evenings in a bright, inviting space that feels like your own piece of Luquillo.



PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):



We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.

 



GETTING AROUND & PARKING



Vista Azul includes space for one (1) - please note that the parking spots are unassigned.



We strongly recommend renting a full-size car as there is a multitude of activities within a 15-30-minute drive which you will not want to miss out on. Also, Ubers and Taxis are not readily available in the Luquillo area.





LOCATION



Vista Azul is located in Luquillo Beach, Puerto Rico. Luquillo Beach is well known for its refreshing trade winds and large palm trees, which provide plenty of shade. The location provides quick and easy access to some of the best beaches in Puerto Rico, El Yunque Rainforest, and boat tours and water activities based out of Fajardo.  



There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites:



Chill at the beach! It's one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you are staying at Vista Azul. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and coolers for a long day at the beach.

Lunch or dinner at Los Kioskos de Luquillo. There are over 25 restaurants on the Caribbean beachfront restaurant strip. One of our favorites is "La Parrilla".

Take a surfing lesson right at La Pared Beach. There are multiple surf schools located on this beach and it is a 5-minute walk away from the apartment.  

Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 10-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.

Spend a day in Old San Juan. Vista Azul is a 45 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There is a lot of history to be seen and great food and drinks to be had.

Charter a boat from Fajardo. There are many boats you can charter for day trips to neighboring islands and coral reefs. You can choose from large boats that sell by ticket or smaller boats you can rent out for private trips with a captain.



Other Things to Note:

STARTER AMENITIES



At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay.



All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest.



We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include:



- 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom)

- 3 garbage bags

- 1 roll of paper towels

- 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom)

- 1 dish soap

- 1 dish sponge



Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay.



Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation.





HOUSE RULES



RENTAL AGREEMENT: All bookings require a signed Short-Term Rental Agreement, which will be sent upon confirmation of your reservation. Guests must upload a valid photo ID (no selfies) that matches the name on the credit card used for the booking. The agreement must be signed within 48 hours of booking or prior to entering the property, whichever comes first. Check-in instructions will not be provided until the agreement is completed.



NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated.



NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property.



QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors.



UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable.



MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 2 adults/children at all times, including visitors.



OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund.



TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items.



TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated.



SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted.





CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES



Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that.



If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule.



If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival.



Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you.





TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON



We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues.



Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS



We want your stay at West Indies Vacation Rental to be smooth and enjoyable. You can message us anytime after booking with questions. Starting 5 days before arrival, your designated Property Manager will also be available to answer any additional questions you may have prior to arrival. You’ll get all the essential property information 48 hours before arrival, as well as the Property Manager’s direct contact, so you’ll have support when you need it - before, during, and after your stay.
