Place was really nice and clean. Short bike ride to beach. The kitchen had all the amenities to bake or cook in the kitchen.

Palmetto Dunes delivered on just about every front for our family vacation. The resort itself is beautifully maintained — lush grounds, easy beach access, and a real sense of space that keeps it from ever feeling crowded even during peak summer season.Fishing was a highlight. We looked into charters out of Shelter Cove Marina right on the resort property, which couldn’t have been more convenient. The inshore options — redfish, sharks, the works — made it easy to tailor the trip for the whole family.Pickleball was another win. The courts at Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center are well-kept, and while evening slots require reservations (call ahead — online booking isn’t available for those times), it was worth the effort to lock one down.Location is tough to beat. Shelter Cove Marina is steps away, the beach is gorgeous, and you’re close enough to town for groceries, dining, and shopping without feeling like you’re in the middle of everything. If I had one tip for future guests: book fishing charters and court times early — summer fills up fast. And check the tide schedule if you’re planning beach time or fishing, since the tidal swings here are significant.Would absolutely return.

Thank you for such a wonderful and detailed review! We're thrilled Palmetto Dunes provided such a great setting for your family vacation. It sounds like you truly made the most of everything the area has to offer, from beautiful beach days and fishing adventures to time on the pickleball courts. We especially appreciate you sharing your tips for future visitors about reserving fishing charters and court times early during the busy summer season. The convenient access to Shelter Cove, dining, shopping, and outdoor activities really does make Palmetto Dunes a fantastic home base for experiencing Hilton Head. Thank you for choosing Island Rentals of Hilton Head. We're so happy to hear you would return and look forward to welcoming your family back for another memorable island getaway!

The unit was perfect and so well designed and appointed. The kitchen had room for our food in the pantry, which was wonderful and helped keep the counters clear. The unit was clean, equipped with everything we needed and offered no disappointments. We even booked a return while we stayed. I highly recommend the unit.

I loved the fact that it was pet friendly. The location was great; it was close to everything. Although the place was clean...the bathroom needed to be recleaned, and the shower rod was rusty as well as the shower curtain needed to be replaced. The air fryer also had rust on the inside, so that too needed to be replaced.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re glad the pet-friendly policy and location worked well for you. I’m sorry the bathroom and a few items fell short of expectations — that shouldn’t have happened. We’ve shared your feedback with housekeeping and the owner so the bathroom will be re-cleaned and the shower rod, curtain, and air fryer will be replaced or repaired as needed. We appreciate you letting us know and hope to welcome you back to Hilton Head.
