Welcome to your relaxing island retreat at Colony Inn Unit 03, on beautiful Sanibel Island! Professionally managed by Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals this unit is perfectly situated just steps from the sparkling Gulf waters and sandy beaches, this charming getaway places you in the heart of one of Sanibel's most beloved communities. Enjoy easy access to world-famous shelling, local restaurants, boutique shopping, and scenic bike trails, all while surrounded by the peaceful tropical atmosphere that makes Colony Inn so special.

Inside, you'll find a light and inviting space designed with comfort in mind. The spacious living area is ideal for relaxing after a day in the sun, with plenty of cozy seating for movie nights, conversations, or simply unwinding in true island style. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and is fully equipped for preparing everything from beach-day snacks to family meals.

The primary bedroom offers a calming escape with two double-size bed, perfect for restful nights after exploring all that Sanibel Island has to offer. For additional sleeping arrangements there is a queen sleeper sofa.

Whether you're spending your days lounging on the beach, searching for seashells along the shoreline, or enjoying breathtaking sunset views over the Gulf, this coastal retreat is the perfect place to make lasting vacation memories.

House Rule: No smoking. No burning candles inside of lodging. No parties. No Pets.

Laundry facilities are conveniently located on each floor of both buildings for guest use.

Please Note : We're continuing our efforts to maintain and improve the property with enhancements taking place at Building 2 from May 4th through end of June 2026. During this time Building 2 is closed. Work will be conducted Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM to approximately 3:30 PM.

Guests in Building 1 and around the pool area should experience minimal impact, though occasional daytime renovation noise may be heard. For safety, some areas of the grounds may be temporarily restricted while work is underway.

The place had everything we needed for a weekend with my daughter and granddaughter. The pool was nice and it was only a short walk to the beach. The beach had a bit of seaweed but we drove to another beach our second day. Had a great time in the pool it was very warm

Beautiful Refresh

It was wonderful to finally return since hurricane Ian and see the Island and Colony Inn thriving again. The updated remodel of our unit was very comfortable. The ice machine on site was a very useful amenity and you can't beat this place to have a beautiful beach within walking distance.

A very beautiful, quiet location, just a 2-minute walk from the beach. Free loan of parasol and beach chair The pool is very pleasant. The terrace with the mosquito net is very nice. The bedding is very comfortable. Shops and restaurants very close by. Everything was perfect.

The accomodations were clean and comfortable and the host was prompt with responding to my messages. It was nice being so close to the beach since beach parking is expensive. I chose this rental because it advertised a heated pool. The pool was closed and under construction. Very disappointing.

The amenities are still under construction and the pool was unavailable. But the worst part was we tried to check in and the codes did not work and it took an hour to rectify the situation. no one was on duty and we arrived at 4:00 pm. Keep[ in mind I was rehabbing from and achilleas tendon injury and walking all over the facility was awfull.

We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially after traveling and arriving at check-in time, and we regret that no one was immediately available to assist you. We are also sorry that the amenities were still under construction and that the pool was unavailable during your stay. We do our best to communicate this in advance, but we understand how disappointing this can be. Most importantly, we truly regret the added discomfort this situation caused you while you were rehabilitating from an Achilles tendon injury. Having to walk around the property under those circumstances is understandably difficult, and we are very sorry that your arrival experience added unnecessary strain at a time when comfort and ease were especially important. Your feedback is taken seriously, and we are reviewing our procedures to ensure smoother check-ins and better on-site support going forward.
