This is an older cabin, but it is a great value for the price. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean and we enjoyed our time there.

Perfect, secluded get-away!

This cabin was very clean and had all the amenities for preparing and cooking meals. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. A very nice place to come "home" to after a day of hiking or fishing nearby.

Great Place to Disconnect

This is a great little cabin to disconnect at! The road is a little rough - glad we brought the truck and not the Prius. House had everything we needed. Almost zero cell service - so keep that in mind if you need service. We could send out messages occasionally in certain spots. Get your map in and out with screenshots before you head out!

Peaceful, remote cabin

Very comfortable and cozy. The hosts were very welcoming and checked with us to see whether we needed anything. There is a charcoal grill and fire pit out front. The goats are really cute and freindly. The road was in good condition, but can be impassible when the water is high. About 40 minutes to the Merimac Caverns.

Great place for a staycation

House was clean. Has a rustic old time charm to it. A good place to get away from all the electronics in the world. There was very random phone service in the area. Good thing to warn your children if they live on the phone. A nice creek was nearby and was relaxing to check out. The river access nearby does not have a gravel bar but makes for a great fishing spot.

Little hidden cottage

Very well kept nice place a little hard to find . secluded no phone service or wifi We lost power do to the storm that knocked out power for 4000 ppl We made do w what we were given.

Great place to in-plug

The cabin was in a great area surrounded by nature on the side of a mountain. There was no internet or cell service, but there was cable so we were able to watch the NBA playoffs without the distractions of our phones. The roads are very rough on the way to the cabin

Very basic cabin. Clean and comfy. The shower pressure is awful so they may want to change the shower head. We had a really great time! We spent the day at Blue Springs creek whic is pretty close.

Beautiful View

This house was very cozy, clean and comfortable. For me and 3 of my adult daughters, it was perfect. The view was gorgeous. One issue, a small map of the roads would have been nice because the roads are not marked. Had some trouble finding places and there is no cell reception for gps. But 5 out of 5 stars!!!

Wonderful way to disconnect

I loved that this place has no wifi, no cable and no cell service. I hope that never changes! The older reveiws mentioned old furniture, but the furniture is in great shape, It looks like a new set. We liked everything about this stay. The one thing we did not like were the numerous signs around the cabin about charges if there is damage. I would think this is a given for any vacation rental, however, if there needs to be a sign, I think one would be fine.

Couches and chair just springs. Sink to bottom when sit. I had to sleep on couch to be close to br. Have artificial knees could not do stairs. Left day early for that reason.

Are you country enough?

The owners are quite nice and friendly. The road in is not for the faint of heart nor for those without an SUV. Of course the owners have no control over this but the ticks were absolutely horrible. Even with spray and careful inspection we dealt with many many many ticks! My only complaint about the house was that the twin bed mattress and foldable frame were in very poor condition.

Any car but a truck will scrape on the bottom so beware if you drive anything besides that. It’s about a 2 mile drive on gravel road. Mosquitos outside are large swarms so bring spray. The towels smelled like cigarettes despite their no smoking policy and there are no washers on site. When contacted, the host was very rude and said this was not possible, even though I have a voicemail of him telling his wife to forget the towels and worry about the linens after my reservation had “slipped through the cracks.” The goats are on the owners property, not visible from house. The house itself was nice, and is very close to Huzzah conservation site and plenty of places in the Meremac to swim. Just make sure to grab your groceries beforehand as Walmart is a thirty minute drive away. The photo is from the bottom of the very steep driveway! Nice area with a couple of downsides!
