IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE YOUR STAY <3
Cleaning
=======
The cleaning is optional avd very much add-on-able lol. We like to keep our rates as pocket-book friendly as possible, so we ask ya to leave the cottage as you found 'er - in a clean, re-rentable state. Some folks aren't keen to herd everyone into cleaning up so, if you'd prefer, we can arrange to have someone else do the bulk of the cleaning for ya, easy peasy. You get a sweet discount if booked in advance (so we have time to line up all our ducks) and the cost depends on your group size:
Wee Barn sweeping (1-6 peeps): regularly $265 +tax or book early for just $165 +tax
Middlin’ Barn Sweeping (7-12 peeps): regularly $395 +tax or book early for just $295 +tax
Biiig Barn Sweeping (7-12 peeps): regularly $495 +tax or book early for just $395 +tax
Indoors
=======
• The wi-fi service is high speed, though it's countryside high speed, yee-haw!
• As we're out in the boonies without access to city pipes, the water is pumped in directly from the lake. It's triple filtered on the way in though, so she comes out fresh as a daisy. There’s also a handy dandy water crock in the kitchen that takes 18L jugs of bottled water (available at all the grocery stores up here in the boonies, if you want to grab one on the way)
• You’ll find 3 full bathrooms + 1 half bathroom
• She’s a true vintage Muskoka cottage 💛 - full of charm, stories, and cozy character. Like any old soul, she’s got a few rough edges here and there, but nothing that gets in the way of a good frolic
Outdoors
=======
• The lake is shallow by the shore (fab for kids & wading, but not ideal for diving or docking boats)
• We keep the shoreline natural with no manicured lawns or heavy alterations. We sort out a six foot area specifically for a toddler wading area, and for the rest we like to leave the vegetation "as she comes" so that the wildlife can make a home in it :)
• Quiet, peaceful surroundings. You’ll have nature as yer neighbor 🌲as well as real-life cottage neighbors 🏡. So, while days are for laughter and lakeside fun, we ask that quiet time be respected after hours to keep the good vibes flowing for everyone

About the host
Hosted by Christine & Rebecca
Pronounced Oh-Gee (short for The Original Grandma), she's a Lakeside Muskoka cottage jammed full of heart & cha cha cha!
One of my favourite childhood memories was playing Skee-ball with my Grandma.
She was particularly adept at a curveball and a compliment, both of which kept me tossing those balls over & over & over again.
To this day, I’m still not great at the curveball, but I can rock a heartfelt compliment any day of the week.
Thanks Grandma!
