Inside, you’ll find high-end amenities combined with welcoming flourishes that will make this feel like a home away from home.

Exposed beams lend a rustic cottage air, while skylights and clerestory windows ensure ample natural light. The music room is the closest you can get to forest bathing inside: a window overlooking the green, towering trees lets in light while sparking flights of fancy. The open floor plan for the living room and dining room offers expansive views through the French doors onto the deck, and a wall of windows gives you a front row seat to sunsets over the water. On warm evenings, dine al fresco on the deck with the ocean as your backdrop.

In the fully-equipped kitchen, you’ll find top-of-the-line appliances, including a GE oven and 4-top electric stove, a microwave, and more. You’ll also have a refrigerator large enough to store provisions for the whole crew. The table seats 6, and the breakfast bar at the counter provides a cozy spot for two. Spring Ranch, a hidden gem, offers hiking trails along the water. A 5-minute drive north will take you to Mendocino, where you can enjoy shopping, dining, art galleries, museums, and hikes along the headlands. Visit the blowhole and witness the power of the waves as they crash over the rocks, or for a calmer experience, head to Big River Beach and dig your toes into the sand. You can rent kayaks or canoes to paddle up Big River, but if you prefer to stay firmly on land, the Big River Haul Road offers miles of trails up along the estuary.

A little farther north, Fort Bragg features the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, charming railroad and historical displays, shops, galleries, award-winning restaurants, and dessert shops like Cowlicks Ice Cream, which is sure to delight the whole family!
