Best Trip Ever

We stayed here for our end of the year field trip, and it was amazing. Absolutely the best experience for our students (and for us!!). It was gorgeous, had tons of games and activities for them, and our students loved every second. I was really appreciative of the large kitchen and dining area because we could all gather at meal times as a whole community. Property owner was super great and responsive. Everything was just amazing. Loved it.

Great Location for a Team

The Spider Lake Retreat was the absolute perfect fit for our youth hockey team. The house was amazing and really helped to make it the best weekend! The boys had so much fun, as did the parents. I’ve received so many messages from other parents on the team who commented on how beautiful the accommodations were and how many lasting memories were made.We will definitely consider the Spider Lake Retreat the next time we are in Traverse City for a hockey weekend, especially with the ice rink being only 10 minutes away!

Family Gathering

We have a blended family of 9 children and their families and I do not know how we could have found better accomodations. It even rained a couple days and it did not stop the fun in any way. The kitchen is very well equipped and the game room has something to entertain every age. The beach is sandy well into swimming area. The bedrooms and whole facility are light and bright with brightly colored artwork. The photographer found endless spots for family portraits. This is a wonderful facility.

Good location for a wedding

My husband and I booked this retreat for our wedding weekend. There was everything we possibly needed! All we needed to bring was food/drinks and our decorations. I would have given this place 5 stars but I found a hidden camera that was actively recording. It was so disappointing, that it was hidden behind their Christmas decor, complete invasion of privacy. So if you choose to book this place, thoroughly check for cameras!!! Other than that it was a great place, plenty of space for all our friends and family.

Grace…I’m sorry that you were upset by the security camera. We have been having issues with someone breaking into our place and drinking and using the game room. The camera is in plain sight normally, so our Christmas decor is not meant to hide it. It sends me motion and sound alerts, but is only activated when we are vacant. We will do a better job of communicating that with our guests in the future. Again, my apologies.

Great location for a group

This is a great property for a group stay. The location on the lake is amazing and we took full advantage of the property for bonfires, an outdoor yoga session and yard games. We stayed with a group of 23 coworkers. The kitchen space was amazing for the meals we cooked as a group as well as a great set up for the catering we brought it. I highly recommend these hosts!
