Glandore is a laid-back, family-friendly pocket of Adelaide, easy to explore on foot with plenty of green space and a local cafe close by. Just a six-minute walk from home is Glandore Oval, great for watching a local game, letting the kids loose on the playground, or a relaxed stroll around the grounds.

For food and coffee, Beckman Street Deli is a local favourite for breakfast, loved for its warm service, while Summit Cafe at the Glandore Community Centre is a cosy, community-run spot set among green lawns. Chapati House 2 and Miss Maria Rolls are also popular local spots, about a ten-minute walk away. The Community Centre itself is worth a visit too, with a BBQ area, table tennis, green spaces to relax in, and sports equipment hire for a kick with the kids.

When it's time to venture further, everything is close at hand. The tram line is just a 5-minute walk (600m) away, running directly to the Adelaide CBD and to Glenelg beach, making it easy to explore without the car. It's also just an 11-minute drive to Adelaide Airport, handy for guests flying in or out, and about a 12-minute drive to the heart of the Adelaide CBD, or the same to the coast to explore popular spots like Glenelg.
