Cousin ski trip

We drove up from NC and VA. It was warm, but skiing was still pretty good. We love the location of mountain lodge. Close to the slopes, split rock pool and the village.

Great location, dated

Great spot. Location was excellent. My only issues were the kitchen faucet barely worked, water only trickled out. The sleeper sofa was worst that most sleeper sofas and that’s saying a lot.

Does the trick, but nothing to write home about

If all you're looking for is a "bare necessities" place to crash close to the slopes, this place does the trick. We were late booking our trip, so this was our only "on-mountain" option. Location was great, and lockers at Mountain Lodge are the best of any lodging (despite minimal extra fee). But this place was sparse in terms of kitchen items, feels dated and a little hodge podge in terms of decor.

Clean and very functional

The unit was clean and functioned just fine for the most part. We had some problems with low water pressure during peak shower times of the day but not a disaster. The unit is located on the far end of the building from the slope access as well.

A Stay @ Snowshoe Mountain Lodge

The location is excellent for skiing at Snowshoe mountain. It does have a nice view of a portion of the slopes. The unit itself is very dated but for the price it's fine. Beds were reasonably comfortable but really need to be replaced. The sleeper sofa needs to be replaced. They also lack adequate amount of pillows and they need to be replaced. Our trip was a father-daughter friend trip and the condo was fine for that but I would not bring my wives to this condo and until they replace the sleeper sofa I would not bring more than four people to this condo. The owners and managers did everything they could to make sure our trip went well and we did enjoy our stay and like I said in the beginning the price was very good so with that said I recommend renting this unit.

Light in kitchen wasn’t working, microwave didn’t rotate and we had to manually rotate food so it doesn’t burn on one side, pillows were wrapped in plastic over which they put pillowcases and there is only one pillow per person. Utensils had old food stuck so we had to wash everything before use and there is no typical shampoo and body wash in bathroom, bar soap. View is gorgeous and lodge is nice, there is no dedicated exercise room and cardio equipment is in play area. Staff is very nice and location is perfect, literally ski in and out.

Nice Location and Pretty View

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The location was convenient to the slopes and it has a nice view out of the window since it is a corner unit. Make sure you read all of the booking details before reserving because, although the property lists that it sleeps 8, they ask you to list all the names of the people who will be staying at the property and will charge you an additional fee of $X per person, per night for parties over 5 people. We ended up only having 4 people, but had originally planned on 8, and I noticed this detail after booking. This would have resulted in an a significant additional expense. Overall, the property itself was great and the communication with the property managers was quick and friendly, just keep the pricing structure in mind if you do decide to stay here.

Quick stay at Snowshoe.

Great time at Snowshoe. Initial price is reasonable, but expensive way to stay with add ons. It more than doubled with last Property management fee charged once you get there However, that seems to be the way Snowshoe has set up nightly accommodations. It was helpful to have a place because too far from Richmond to drive, ski, and then drive back. We enjoyed our stay and the conditions were fantastic. Would stay again. But only one night because of expense.

Located within Mountain Lodge at Snowshoe Mountain Resort, this two-bedroom, two-bath condominium offers direct slope access near the Ballhooter Lift, placing skiing, lessons, rentals, dining, and Snowshoe Village activities just steps from your door. Guests can arrive, park once, and enjoy the resort entirely on foot or by shuttle throughout their stay.

The layout is thoughtfully planned for shared trips, sleeping up to eight guests across two private bedrooms and a sleeper sofa. A king bedroom with en-suite bath provides privacy for couples, while the second bedroom’s queen-over-king bunk is ideal for families or mixed-age groups. With two full bathrooms, mornings and après-ski evenings stay comfortable and efficient.

The open living area is bright and welcoming, with large windows offering mountain views and natural light. A fully equipped kitchen with dining space supports easy breakfasts, group meals, and relaxed evenings, while the living space provides a comfortable place to unwind or plan the next day.

Staying in Mountain Lodge includes access to shared on-site resort amenities, including West Virginia’s first indoor Glice skating rink, arcade areas, elevator access, and close proximity to ski school and village services. A full housekeeping package with professionally laundered linens, towels, and essential supplies is included to ensure a smooth, low-friction stay.
