About the host
Hosted by Tanya
Hello! I'm Tanya — a married mom of four and a big fan of the outdoors and family adventures. Whether it's the mountains or the beach, our family loves spending time in nature and enjoying all the activities that come with it.
In August 2020, we decided to take the leap and purchase our first vacation home in a place we truly love. We wanted a space that was comfortable, spacious, and perfect for making memories—whether it’s just us or shared with friends and extended family.
We hope you enjoy your stay in our home as much as we have. If you have any questions during your visit, feel free to reach out — I’m always happy to help!
Why they chose this property
Simple Bear Necessities isn't just a place to sleep between Dollywood days — it's where your vacation actually happens.
This spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bath Pigeon Forge home was designed from the ground up for families who want more than four walls and a parking spot. Three king beds mean no one's fighting over the good room. A Pac-Man arcade, air hockey table, Nerf battle wall, and Nintendo Switch keep the kids busy on rainy afternoons (or honestly, any afternoon). And when the day winds down, the private hot tub is waiting.
What sets this cabin apart from the pack: Truly accessible — no stairs, no stress. There are zero steps to enter the home, and the entire main level is stair-free. Everything you need is on one floor: a king bedroom, full bathroom with tub/shower combo, living room, dining room, laundry, and a private outdoor patio with the hot tub. No steep mountain roads to navigate either — the route from the Parkway to your front door is completely flat. Whether you're traveling with elderly parents, young children, strollers, or guests with mobility considerations, this home was built with easy access in mind.
Genuinely close to everything. Dollywood is 2.2 miles away. The Parkway is under a mile. Dolly Parton's Stampede is a 5-minute drive. You're not "near Pigeon Forge" — you're in the middle of it.
Room for the whole crew. Sleeps up to 10 guests across four bedrooms with a dining table that seats 8, plus 3 bar stools at the kitchen island. Enough space that you're together when you want to be, and spread out when you need it.
Seasonal community pool, steps away. The Bear Cove Falls Resort pool is a 3-minute walk — open Memorial Day through Labor Day, no key required.
Pet-friendly. Up to 2 dogs (50 lbs or less) welcome with a paid pet fee. There's even a nearby dog kennel at Doggywood if you're spending a full day at the park.
This is a home built for making memories — not just checking in and checking out. We can't wait to host you.
What makes this property unique
Main-level living for guests who need it.
Simple Bear Necessities is a two-story home, but is great for guests with mobility considerations. The main level has everything you need for a complete stay: a king bedroom, full bathroom with tub/shower combo, living room, dining room, laundry, and a private hot tub on the patio. The second floor is there for everyone else. Three king beds. Three of the four bedrooms have king beds — so the adults in your group all sleep well.
No white-knuckling up a mountain switchback to reach your cabin — a genuine rarity in Pigeon Forge and a real advantage if you're driving a larger vehicle, towing anything, or simply don't want that to be part of your trip.
Entertainment for the whole family. Pac-Man arcade console and a full Nerf battle wall are set up in the upstairs hallway, right outside the kids' bunk room — which also has its own air hockey table and Nintendo Switch with 150+ classic games. It keeps the fun contained upstairs while the living room stays peaceful down below.
The Bear Cove Falls Resort pool is a 3-minute walk from the front door — open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day, 10am to 10pm.
Old Mountain Market and Pizza at the Cove are located at the community entrance. Need a last-minute snack, a bottle of wine, or a forgotten tube of toothpaste? The Old Mountain Market is just a short walk away. And if you only eat one thing during your trip, make it the Philly Cheesesteak pizza at Pizza at the Cove — our guests swear by it.
2.2 miles to Dollywood. Under 1 mile to the Parkway. Location isn't just a bullet point here — it's one of the best-positioned homes in the Bear Cove Falls community. You're close enough to pop back to the cabin mid-day without losing half your afternoon to the car.
Private hot tub — not shared. It's yours for the entirety of your stay. Cleaned, refilled, and ready before you arrive.
