Bright top floor apartment on the 2nd floor with a large south-facing terrace and free WiFi

This modern apartment with parquet and carpets is located directly on the edge of the forest in a quiet residential street. A complete renovation and refurbishment in 2016 will make the bathroom and kitchen shine in new splendor. The two bedrooms are furnished with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The third sleeping option for 2 people is a comfortable sofa bed with slatted frame, which is located in the spacious living / dining room. In the living area there are 2 comfortable sofas, a satellite TV and stereo with DVD player, and a dining table for 6 people. There is also a washing machine in the new bathroom with a spacious shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with household appliances, there is an additional dining area in it.
A special highlight is the large furnished roof terrace, which offers a wonderful view over the star forest.
The apartment is close to the center. The old town of Freiburg can be reached by public transport in 10 minutes or on foot in 15 minutes. Bicycles can be hired on request.

Beautiful appartment situated in a lovely area with close vicinity to supermarket and tram line.Sabine and Peter are great hosts and their appartment is just beautiful clean and comfortable with a nice balcony to enjoy sunny days. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants confort and feels like your home to come to after a busy day in Freiburg.

Beautiful apartment with gorgeous views of the city and bordering mountain. Well equipped and very responsive and respectful owners live a few floors below. It is even nicer than the pictures show.

Peter was welcoming and spoke good English. The apartment was large and spacious. It was warm, clean and well-equipped. There were lovely views of the Black Forest from the terrace and bedrooms. Supermarkets and the tram stop were within ten minutes walk from the apartment, which was also a good location for exploring the Black Forest (Schauinsland cable car) and visiting Europa Park.

great location 10 min from city center, large enough for 4 people comfortably with great host

great stay short tram ride from city center, great hosts, large spacious flat with more than enough room for 4 at a great price. would definitely recommend. great view of black forest as well

Wonderful accommodation with lovely hosts.

We felt totally at home. The apartment was very spacious and was fitted with everything we needed and more. Sabine and Peter were lovely, helpful hosts.

Short weekend stay in Freiburg

Beautiful property located in a nice quiet suburb only a short tram journey from the city centre. Located right on the edge of the Black Forest - literally. It has all of the facilities you need for a short stay or indeed longer and the hosts were really helpful.

Wonderful location in Freiburg

A welcoming, comfortable home with everything we needed. It was close to the tram and only a few short stops to town, a large shopping centre was close by, and recommend the Augustiner restaurant also close by. The house was handy to walking paths, including to the Schlossberg Tower. Highly recommended for your visit to Freiburg.

Beautiful and peaceful

The apartment was on the 3rd floor and had BEAUTIFUL views of both the city and nature. It was close to a Bahn stop and to a supermarket that was open late. It was super clean and comfortable. This was our favorite place to stay on our trip! I will definitely be recommending it to friends in the future.

Great little spot in Freiburg!

Really nice flat for the four of us in Freiburg. LOVED having the outdoor porch to sit on in the mornings and evenings. Also appreciated the washing machine while on a longer trip. Just note that it's 3-4 flights of stairs up to the flat- that didn't deter us at all, but could influence someone with mobility issues.

Wonderful location for families and groups

The hosts are friendly and welcoming, the house is spotlessly clean and superbly equipped: absolutely everything you could possibly need is there. There are loads of glasses, plates, cutlery which is great for a large group. Two good bedrooms plus a sleeper sofa in a very large living room. A lot of light, even in autumn. We hope to come back!

Fantastic flat and great hosts

My family (two adults and three children) stayed in this flat from mid-June to mid-July (2023). Sabine and Peter were wonderful hosts. They let our children use their scooters and I borrowed their bike to use to commute to work. The location has a stunning view of the Black Forest, and it is easy to get to downtown as well. We would absolutely stay here again.

Better than the pictures

The apartment was brighter, larger and nicer than it seemed in the pictures. It was clean, well-equipped and had a beautiful terrace looking out over the Black Forest. It was very quiet and in a nice neighbourhood about a 15-20 minute walk from the Alstadt. Sabine and Peter were very nice and there if we needed them. It was a great experience and we had a nice dinner experience at the Gasthaus Shutzen, which is only minutes away from the apartment. Thank you Sabine and Peter for hosting us.

Mushrooms

The apartment was very spacious and light. Enjoyed the many windows in every room. Kitchen was well equipped and had a cozy feeling. My friend and I would both have liked a more comfortable bed with less firm mattresses. The construction that was being done in their driveway and front entrance was an annoyance and hazardous. Difficult to find on street parking every evening.

Freiburg

A really lovely apartment to spend a few days in Freiburg. The apartment is really well equipped with everything you need, with good quality furnishings and is spotlessly clean. Located in a quiet neighbourhood around 20 mins walk into the city centre (or quicker by tram) but overlooks the forest. A nice balcony to able to sit with a glass of wine under the stars. Sabine was a pleasure to deal with too. A supermarket and local bars / restaurants are also within a few minutes walk. Freiburg is a lovely relaxing city with plenty to offer, we spent our time enjoying the city and surrounding countryside and cooling off by swimming in one of many local lakes. Perfect!

Wonderful in every way.

We were traveling as a family of 4,coming together from 2 different parts of the world. One of the first things we were struck by was how beautiful the area was. Why would one ever leave the apartment with those views?! Peter and Sabine were very accommodating and available to us, all the while giving us plenty of privacy. The apartment was spotless, silent, very functional and comfortable. Larger than the photos seem! For 2 couples there ws plenty of room. When we were at the apartment, we spent most of our time sitting by the living room window, staring at the hills. Thanks again, until the next time.

Ideal familias con coche

Ha resultado fundamental que al estar algo a las afueras el aparcamiento no es problema ya que en el centro resulta muy dificultoso y caro. Tiene un pequeño centro comercial muy cerca para las compras de comida . Se llega muy bien al centro andando unos 20 minutos o en transporte público en 2 paradas. Muy confortable, luminoso y muy bien equipado. Preciosas vistas desde la vivienda y tranquilidad en la zona. Aunque es un segundo piso sin ascensor para nosotros no ha sido inconveniente. Mejoraría quizá que la información que facilitan los propietarios sobre casa y alrededores no fuera sólo en idioma alemán y apareciera también en inglés al ser un apartamento turístico,

Extraordinario apartamento. Extraordinarios dueños.

Es un apartamento en un segundo piso (sin ascensor). Esta totalmente reformado con parqué, esta reforma se nota en especial en el cuarto de baño. Ante todo es un apartamento muy cómodo en el que tienes todos los servicios: espacio suficiente almacenamiento, zonas diferenciadas cuando vas con niños, todo tipo de electrodomésticos: lavadora, lavavajillas, secador de pelo y tv. Y todo tipo de utensilios de cocina, todo ello inventariado, lo que te evita problemas. Las dos camas de la habitación de los niños, al menos para nosotros fueron una acierto, para evitar incidentes durante la noche. La cama de matrimonio es un colchón doble y aunque se nota que es nuevo, para nuestro gusto podría haber sido un poco más duro. Cuando reservas te puede parecer que estás un poco alejado del centro pero para nosotros ha sido la ubicación ideal. Hemos podido aparcar el coche todos los días en la puerta. Y Friburgo está a menos de 20 minutos andando (con niños) y en torno a los 15 si coges tranvía. Piénsatelo dos veces si piensas coger un apartamento más céntrico y piensas hacer, excursiones, ya que Friburgo no está diseñada para ir moviéndose con el coche, sino andando o en bici, por lo que los desplazamientos en coche pueden hacerse complicados. Por lo que este es el lugar ideal ya que todos los días hemos tenido aparcamiento. Es una zona muy tranquila y las casas son bonitas ( no es el centro histórico pero tiene su encanto), ademas tienes el bosque justo enfrente, para rutas y paseos. Tienes un centro comercial en el que hay un supermercado REWE (a unos siete minutos andando) que cierra a las 24:00 horas, por lo que no te tienes que preocupar de la compra. Agradecer a Sabine y Peter que nos hayan hecho la estancia tan agradable, sabiéndose mantener al margen pero estando cerca si los necesitábamos (viven muy cerca). Gracias.
