10/10 will definitely stay again. Bunkbed was a little wobbly to the point our kids didn’t want to sleep on the top. Other than that we loved our stay.

Unique hand built cabin hideaway, great for a honeymoon, or quiet place for reflection

Very pleased with location and accommodations. Unique in that the cabin was hand built using recycled barn beams, windows from an auto dealership. It was secluded, yet very close to Breckenridge.

Spacious. Nice accommodations. Convenient to downtown Breckenridge and trails. Saw a fox right out the front door one evening.

Winter Wonderland

When we got in late after a long day of travel due to snow, we were confused when we pulled in. Then we walked down the path to the home and we were smiling at how beautiful and tucked back in we were! The house was perfect for us! Everything was clean and simple. We skied everyday and it was a perfect distance to town! We would definitely stay here again, and hope to!

Quaint quiet cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this unique amazing cabin. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The deck is private and has a gorgeous view of the mountains. During our stay the area was very quiet with visits from various wildlife. My only complaint is the bathroom sink water pressure is very low. Made it a little challenging to rinse my hands. Otherwise this cabin is awesome!

Beautiful Home and Great Location

We really enjoyed the seclusion of the home yet just a few minutes from Breck. I would love to give this place a 5 star rating but the water pressure in the shower is really not acceptable and it has a bad smell. I'm all for water conservation, but this was barely a steady stream. The beds were very comfortable and clean. We loved the back patio deck overlooking the beautiful forest. It's a lovely home.

Very quite and peaceful

We had a great stay very rustic and quite cabin. Saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the peace and quite. Only minor issue is the rooms got very bright when the sun started to come up. So if you are light sensitive you will be up early. Not a bad thing but just be ready.

Not for us

Very rustic, bathroom needed much work also a lot of carpenter ants in living area around fireplace. We were not happy with this cabin.

Secluded vacation

We enjoyed the house and location as it was secluded from the town. That was the best part. Some of the closets had other people’s clothes left behind, assuming prior guests. The oven didn’t work, which would have been nice to know ahead of time. We bought groceries as we drove into town, not realizing the oven was broken.

Good rustic option near Breckenridge

Positives: This property is only a few miles from downtown Breck and close to some trailheads; we enjoyed the upstairs (living area, kitchen, deck); the cabin has lots of windows to take advantage of a wooded lot; good internet; price lower than many other rentals in this rural neighborhood. Things you should know: Cabin is rustic and in need of some maintenance, in my opinion. You must weigh this against the price and your own expectations/tolerance to decide if this is a good option for you. Some examples: cellular shades on lower level (bedrooms and bath) do not all raise/lower properly; carpet is old and wall paper is peeling on lower level; lots of spiders, ants, and cobwebs. Check out procedure says to run the dishwasher before leaving, but there was no dishwasher. There was also no dish scrubber or dish rags for hand washing of dishes, yet there were dishwasher pods below the sink for the non-existent dishwasher. Be aware that the spiral staircase leading to the upper floor from the entry foyer is very steep and has small steps. However, the top level can also be accessed from the outside by climbing conventional stairs to the deck.

Excellent property with tons of character

The property is in a great location just south of Breck. The cabin had tons of rustic charm and suited our needs perfectly for a trip to the mountains. Within an hour or so to all the major resorts. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. The stove/fireplace was great and the views from the back deck were beautiful. Fantastic stay.

Unique, quirky, quiet, and convenient

Very unique cabin in a secluded setting with many unique features. If you’re after a polished house without character then it’s probably not for you. If you enjoy a dose of quirky design and a serenely quiet environment then you’ll love it. Great deck. Bull moose “Marty” wondered through and even plopped down for a rest. Close enough to Breck for convenience yet far enough for solitude. Thanks for the stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's hard to put into words how much we enjoyed this cabin and the location. Just far enough out of Breck, while being really close to nature. The cabin was clean and offered just the right amount of amenities to make it a "cabin" experience and not a luxury experience. Mornings and evenings spent on the deck treated us with several animal sitings from a safe and secure distance. We saw a black bear, a moose, foxes, deer and plenty of birds, squirrels and chipmunks. We're coming back!

Great vacation

We had lots of fun at Blue River. It was beautiful learning the history of the parts of the house and where each piece originated. Finding the house in the midst of the snow was a little difficult as the snow was blocking the path to the house but otherwise great stay. Very much recommended.

Little cabin in the woods

If you’re looking for a rustic cabin in the woods in a serene setting, this is it! The location and charm of this old cabin is amazing but be sure to have AWD/4x4 in the winter. And watch out for vrbo’s fees that they now add to your booking!?!

We do recommend a 4x4/All-Wheel drive vehicle with proper tires in the winter months. The roads leading to the cabin are regularly maintained , but the high alpine environment can make for difficulty traveling during snow . We hope to host you again for your next stay in Breckenridge!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would like to thank Alpine Meadows for understanding our emergency. Unfortunately, we had to cut our vacation short due to our daughter getting sick while in Breckenridge. We took a trip to the ER a day after we arrived, and Doctors recommended that we kept our daughter on oxygen the entire time. We had many plans, but the health of our daughter came first. We decided to pack up and leave, and management staff from Alpine Meadows were able to coordinate with Airbnb to refund some of our money. I was very surprised to receive the news a few days later. Thank you!!

Cozy getaway

Cabin was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the privacy of the location. There really is a moose that roams around. Still plenty close to town for food and fun.
