Enjoyed Our Stay

I must take issue with the two guests that gave poor reviews. We found the cabin in good condition, only minor issues that in no way compromised safety nor nice accommodations. There was one missing stairway post and a couple that were loose, but stairs are made with 3" & 5" posts and rails, very sound and sturdy. All decking was solid, no rot around hot tub. Hot tub was enjoyed each night of our stay. All appliances were in good working order. Fridge did not have ice maker nor trays, we purchased bagged ice. WiFi/Internet worked well. Satellite connections on all TVs except one in a lower floor bedroom. Remotes all worked, though Rec Room TV remote couldn't be located - did not miss use of it. We were there to enjoy the seclusion, time together, and area sites, we were not there to stream video. All lighting worked and was ample. Gravel section of road leading up to cabin was steep, but would be easily accessed by sedan most of the time. In wintry conditions, vehicles should be equipped with at least a snow mode, AW/4W vehicles should have little to no difficulty. This is to be expected and planned for when traveling in mountainous areas. The outdoor fire area has no seating, so bring along your camp chairs. There is enough TP and paper towels to get started, but we brought extra along with other paper goods for the kitchen. The kitchen is stocked pretty well with glass/plastic ware, utensils, pots/pans, crockpot, blender, toaster, etc. The owner did advise that the fireplaces are scheduled for demo and replacement, so they were not in working order, but we were very comfortable with the heating system. No broken beds, one reported to creak some. Actually has king bed in main suite. Others are queens. The half bath exhaust fan was very noisy, but had 3 other full baths to use. As stated, minor issues that can be expected in most any rental, but did not compromise our stay in any way. We had a wonderful time with family. Plenty of room to all gather together, even if sitting in different areas of the main living area, we could still enjoy one another. With the two levels, there was also space enough to separate and enjoy doing different things or some quiet time. Rockers on the two decks. Very nice time!

Until repairs are made, not worth the stay

I hate to leave a bad review but this place is not worth the money until items are repaired. We had to leave after 48 hours - versus the 5 day Christmas stay planned - due to heat not working (slept in 59 degree temps) as well as fire places not working. We had to spend Christmas Eve making the 6 hour drive back home just to ensure our kids had a good Christmas. Below are the items we had issues with: -Every room blinds broken and missing pieces. -Dressers had handles broken so couldn’t open drawers, and the ones we could had bottoms fall out. -The lights in ceiling fan in every single room were missing bulbs. -Only one roll of toilet paper and none extra under sink in master bath. -No hand soap in bathroom, just hand sanitizer in downstairs bathroom. -Fire place not functioning upstairs or downstairs. Wasn’t told prior to our stay until day before check in and only because we asked about it!! Took 2 days for a response. -It wasn’t vacuumed and was very dusty. -Cobwebs covered the A-Frame windows all over. -The bed was so wobbly and squeaky. -Downstairs TV didn’t work. -No hand towel holders. All them broken off and just the base (no circle part) in wall so towels had to stay on sinks (which were all single sinks and not a lot of room as it was). -No ice maker or even trays to make our own ice, and fridge did not stay very cold. -Front steps (only way in to home) had broken rails with one even laying on ground next to stairs.

Very poorly poorly maintained

Hot tub was leaking not working correctly. The entire floor under the hot tub was rotten handrails leading to cabin, rotten and fallen off. Most light switches wasn’t working both fireplaces wasn’t working the path to the cabin required of four-wheel-drive was it stated and it goes on informed owners reply was have safe trip home actually vacated day early because of problems

Great location - missing on some essentials

The location can’t be beat - size of cabin is adequate for our group of 8. Only 3 full bathrooms and 1 half bath. Refrigerator ice maker does not work and there are no ice trays to make your own and didn’t cool very well or have adequate storage. Beds were broken and bathroom exhaust did not work in one bathroom. Some of the furniture has missing handles and there is no grill except for a park style metal post next to the cabin. None of the TVs but one actually worked (could watch Something besides infomercials). The internet was terrible. My kids couldn’t play games or even stream their movies. Lots of bugs in the house and missing light bulbs. Blinds were broken and the hot tub was dirty and not working when we arrived. (Property owner had that fixed shortly after we arrived. )The dining room table only had 6 chairs so with a party of eight two of us had to sit on the sofa to eat even though the table could hold eight seats. Lots of batteries were bad in the remotes as well and trash left from previous renters. Overall we still had a nice time but was really disappointed for the price we paid that the cabin wasn’t in better shape.
