Gracious 400 square foot studio with airy sleeping loft including study and dressing areas. Vaulted ceilings, huge windows, large deck with both private and shared spaces. Steep captain’s steps to loft area (not suitable for small children, bad knees, nor for the inebriated!) Wonderful views toward Captain Jack’s Wharf, the harbor, and Long Point lighthouse. Private deck space features wicker arm chairs, round table for four with umbrella and potted plants. Includes new furnishings, blue and white décor, wireless Internet access, board games, books, 100% cotton sheets and quilts. Luxurious new shower bath, 2014, with glass shower walls and mosaic tiles. The unit is located in the lovely West End, near “Relish,” ocean side of Commercial Street, second floor. The condominium is within a nine unit building, perfect for those seeking peace, quiet, and relaxation—not a party building, quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am. Building is on the beach—walk on access to beach from shared lower level deck, wade in at high tide. Simply Beautiful!
About renting this wonderful spot...: This condo is beautiful with wonderful views, high ceilings, and great light. Please note: the unit is on the second floor with stairs up and no elevator. Please see the photos for the picture of the stairs leading to the sleeping loft; make sure you are comfortable with the ship-style stairs.
Also, please note that the queen bed is on the floor tucked under the eaves. On ones's stomach, there are fabulous views over the harbor. Make sure you are comfortable with the location of the bed.
This is an airy, magical, lovely space, in a wonderful part of town, in a very special place on earth...
What a lovely place to stay for just the two of us on our honeymoon! This is a comprehensive list of pros and cons of the condo, which we highly recommend. A few disclaimers: we stayed the week before Memorial Day, so Provincetown was quiet and sparsely populated, which suited our preferences perfectly. Provincetown is a favorite place of ours on the cape, and we felt this condo fit the bill for a place to stay! We hope you find this place too!
Sincerely, Jess and Adam
Fantastic view and ocean sounds from the bay side windows; the layout maximized usable space in the small floor plan; the decor was cozy; the bathroom was clean, the toilet and sink worked well and there was ample hot water and pressure to shower, although there is no tub; the deck, although shared was spacious enough to spread out and enjoy; the location was in the West End and a quiet space; the breakfast and lunch restaurant "Relish"is right downstairs and we highly recommend it; the condo was overall clean upon arrival; the wireless internet speed was very fast and easy to connect to; the artwork in the condo was very nicely chosen and placed to enhance the decor; there is a printer with ink and paper which we appreciated; there is off street parking for one car, space for bicycles on the deck, and spots at West End Beach for our kayaks (we recommend locking them up and checking with the harbor master first).
Approximately 90% of the dishes, silverware and pots and pans in the drawers, cupboards and on the shelves needed some minor cleaning before we felt comfortable cooking and eating with them; there is no oven or dishwasher (but it is a small efficient space, so that makes sense); the light switches and fan control all worked, but were confusing to figure out which controlled what; a contractor was still working on the deck when we arrived, but he was unobtrusive and quiet; the front door is "sticky" and has no dead bolt, only a doorknob lock.
Historic, unique Provincetown--the New Orleans of the north. Edgy, artsy, tacky, classy, quaint, gorgeous, lively. Wonderful restaurants, fabulous boutiques, breathtaking beaches, and strong sense of community. A special condo right on the edge of it all: quiet yet accessible to the action and the natural beauty. Not to be missed!
