About Susan Erickson

I have been loving Provincetown for 45 years; my aunt Alice Foley, was the town nurse for many years. Alice was a force in town, known for her outspokenness, courage, fierce intelligence, wit, and warmth. My husband and I and our two grown sons loved and admired Alice. We live in a suburb near Boston, and enjoy this unit as much as we can.

Susan Erickson purchased this condo in 2008

Why Susan Erickson chose Provincetown

This is a gorgeous and special spot--one of few rental units right on the harbor in Provincetown! The high ceilings, amazing deck, and just-out-of-town location (near the fun, away from the noise!) make this a great pied-a-terre!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved this condo, and our week in Ptown. The kitchen of this condo is so well equipped--sharp knives! and the deck is perfect. We did much less walking and exploring in town as we loved hanging out in the unit--water, waves, seagulls, and boats everywhere you look. Bed was super comfortable, wifi was great. and the shop downstairs has the best cupcakes in town! Perfect vacation spot.

Amazing Condo in a Great Town

  • 5 of 5

The condo was clean and comfy with beautiful views of the water. Inside was light and airy with nice artwork. The appliances, countertops, and furniture all looked like they were in great condition. There was wifi (very reliable), cable tv, Scrabble, and puzzles for lazy days in, as well as beach chairs, a floating dock, and plenty of outdoor activities for the nice summer weather. The deck and beach were perfect places to unwind and relax. We loved how the area around the condo was fairly residential and quiet, but it was just a short walk away from the shops, restaurants, and bars. There is a detailed binder in the condo that discusses all of the amenities and anything you need to know about the condo as well as offering ideas of things to do and places to see while in town. I would highly recommend Waterfront West #5 to anyone wanting to spend time in Provincetown. It has kept us coming back time and again.

Perfect, perfect, perfect.

  • 5 of 5

This sweet condominium suited my partner and me perfectly. Right from my first communications with our hostess, Susan, I knew we'd be in good hands. She was thorough and accurate in her description of the place; she answered my many questions even before we signed the agreement and always with good cheer and even humor.

The moment we pulled up to the condo--in its great location-- and opened the front door, we were again assured that we had found the perfect place. It was VERY clean, bright, well-furnished and the view out the window was stunning. Depending on the tide, it was either bright blue sky and water, or sandy beach with bright colored dingys waiting for the water to reanimate them. From the deck we sat for hours watching seals jumping after mackerel that leaped in the air, creating waves.

The linens felt good, the towels plush, even the soap was delightful. The kitchen was well-equipped and included everything one needs for this type of holiday. The bed in the loft made us giggle and feel like kids in a treehouse. Yes, as Susan carefully points out, the stairs are steep but we just pretended we were on a ship and after the first day, were totally used to them.

The location is great for being just enough off the beaten path to be away from the commotion, but just steps to the east and you could be in the thick of it. The building was also very quiet and not once did we hear our neighbors. Relish is just downstairs and perfect for coffee, pastry and other goodies. The Red Inn became our favorite restaurant and was just down the road to the west. Bike rental and the supermarket were also close by.

Well, you can see by my words here that we fully recommend this delightful home from home--not a single disappointment! Thank you Susan!

cozy, peaceful and close to everything!

  • 5 of 5

This is a lovely spot, the best combination of quiet and peaceful but close to the action, if you want to walk into town. It was such a lovely view, I watched the July 4th fireworks looking out at the bay from my window. The place is charming, clean and comfortable. The kitchen is minimal, but has all the necessities, and I went for a swim each morning, just outside my door. You couldn't wish for more!

Spectacular views from a very well-kept condo!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely breathtaking views of the Provincetown harbor from a very nice, comfortable condo unit right on the water in the quiet West End of town. Easy access to the town center, but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Very clean, bright, well-decorated and comfortable unit with nice artwork.

Clean, cozy, convenient, and right on the water!

  • 5 of 5

I love this spot, and would highly recommend you to reserve some time here. Being right on the water you get a gorgeous view of the harbor and the tides. It always made my day walking in through the front door, waking up, or even just turning around for that matter, and being able to see the tides coming and going throughout the day. Being able to crack the window at night and listen to the waves as I fell asleep was a great treat too. The condo was very clean when we got there, loaded with cooking supplies/utensils (so we could eat in if we wanted to), and very easy to navigate. The wifi was great, so I could still keep up with work emails as needed. The private beach was a plus, as it can get noisy at the public beaches around town. It was especially great being just a short walk from all the restaurants, shops, and bars on Commercial St. Again, this is a great spot. Thank you!
